This Ride looks amazing. Its too bad, when I was there during spring break (march 30/31) the ride broke down two hours after opening to the point of people having to get down from a cherry picker. I hadent ridden it yet and was disapointed it was closed the two days I was there.

CPplatinum I think the brakes are so it does not go as fast as it would and hurt you as it goes suddenly down, just so it's smoother. And 12 people per car will probably mean they have more than 1 car?

Well there is sure to be other trains but only having 12 people per train will make this a lower capacity ride, causing longer lines. I dont mind brakes on coasters but when they are every couple seconds it gets ridiculous. This might be good for kids though. Only part that stands out is the unique loop

There's actually supposed to be 5 trains running at once and a moving conveyor belt so you can load up faster and have trains depart every 25 seconds. But it's not all just the coaster itself. You get to star in your own music video to which you pick the soundtrack for.

ok, i have a friend who knows THE manager of Universal Orlando Resort, who is also overseeing the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, and my friend just talked to him today and he, the manager, said that everything is going great for that Rockit, and that if things continue to go well then the ride will be opening on Sunday, August 16, 2009!!!!!! I promice you I am NOT making this up, and that means that for now, the official opening date for the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is August 16, 2009!!!!!!!!!!!!

nope. 180' is actual upside down. while somthing like 120', like Millenium Force at Cedar Point's overbanked turns, it is not really technically upside down. this ride does not go upside down at all

Yes, I know. A rollover is basically a half-loop followed by an inverted corkscrew or heartline roll, followed by a downward half-loop.

Instead of being non-inverting, it actually has two inversions. That's what I mean by a rollover.

Yeah O.K. It has a loop with no inversions, a lifthill thats steeper than the drop. It's just weak. I've been on over 300 coasters. I think I like coasters. Its just looks weak. Speakers and music on a ride doesn't impress me. Sorry.
