This creates interest groups, (university staff) who fight to keep the loans going, but it's not to help students. it's to keep their salaries. students end up in 800+ classes.

I know many conservatives who agree. The climate debate shouldn't be a partisan issue. We should all look at the evidence closely and help each other to live within our planet's means.

Someone who has studied physics or chemistry should know that dramatically changing the atmosphere of earth will result in many complex interactions with the earth's delicately balanced climate.
So, "as a scientist," I look at things based on fact.
i guess i can't provide links, but wikipedia has all the relevant charts. but look at it this way: temperature is clearly increasing, and too fast for it to be natural. CO2 is good for plants individually, but they already get more than enough, and its not the plants' health that's important, its the global balance. imagine dousing a seedling with water. sure it's good but too much will not sustain life.
is it cost effective? i don't know. how important is it? Think of it like a business.
Over 30% increase in atmospheric CO2 within a matter of decades is very dramatic, especially when considering the age of the earth and its slow-changing nature.

As far as health is concerned, recycling plastic releases dioxins, but recycling aluminum, glass and paper will keep those resources available to us and contribute to GDP and will protect that beautiful scenery we're so proud of.

And the government is involved in the higher rates of tuition: by giving loans out to everyone and anyone, colleges take advantage of the fact that they have a steady income of students, i.e. money, so can RAISE costs. They spend more money on professor's salaries, and costly amenities like pools with water slides. This creates interest groups, (university staff) who fight to keep the loans going, but it's not to help students. it's to keep their salaries. students end up in 800+ classes.

Education is so important and though we spend so much money (yes we do spend more in the United States than other country), and throw it away. What is happening to kids? So many don't understand history, math, or science. They know to be politically correct though and so many are greedy wimps. Where will the leaders of tomorrow come from? Hello where will or workers police officers and firemen come from? We've changed in many positive ways since WWII, but many negative ways too.

I was 100% with you until the global warming thing. Sure there have been scandals, but as a scientist, I have to say that we are permanently altering our atmosphere. I know many conservatives who agree. The climate debate shouldn't be a partisan issue. We should all look at the evidence closely and help each other to live within our planet's means.

specifically a neuroscientist, but I trained 3 years as a materials engineer. I'm not an expert on climatology but just the fact that we are experiencing record low temperatures hints a little at the fact that the earth's climate is changing.
Someone who has studied physics or chemistry should know that dramatically changing the atmosphere of earth will result in many complex interactions with the earth's delicately balanced climate.
So, "as a scientist," I look at things based on fact.

i guess i can't provide links, but wikipedia has all the relevant charts. but look at it this way: temperature is clearly increasing, and too fast for it to be natural. CO2 is good for plants individually, but they already get more than enough, and its not the plants' health that's important, its the global balance. imagine dousing a seedling with water. sure it's good but too much will not sustain life.
is it cost effective? i don't know. how important is it? Think of it like a business.

Anyway, I think a lot of this has been hyped up to distract the public from other issues. I totally see that socialism and the NWO is kinda creeping up on us and we have to act to defend our personal freedoms. But along with this we need to just be mindful about what we do and try to conserve and protect as well.

As far as health is concerned, recycling plastic releases dioxins, but recycling aluminum, glass and paper will keep those resources available to us and contribute to GDP and will protect that beautiful scenery we're so proud of.

I knew he was a conservative repubulican, but what did he do differently? He made absolutely no mention to "liberals", "democrats" or whatever.
