i totally agree whit you, i remember seeing saw and thought it generally was funny. it was so much gore that it become to surrealistic.

Real horror is stuff that get you scary, not get you "sick" becorse of all the gore.

The 4th SAW movie was the most complex.

Eh, SAW is a decent franchise. It's not all about the blood and gore in SAW. The movies do have story behind them. Behind every trap there is story. I mean, if you woke up somewhere and you was in a trap that could peel back your jaw from the roof of your mouth, would you not be faced with fear? I don't know, SAW defines fear for me, people see the blood and all that and judge it based on that. There are deeper messages in SAW, you just have to pay attention to the films.
