Let's say two companies produce the same product (tooth brush)-Joe produces toothbrush in Mexico and the cost in making them is much lower than Bob who also owns a toothbrush factory in Kansas. Joe sends all his products to the American market and so does Bob. To make a profit, Bob puts a higher price on each single toothbrush compared to Joe (since Bob pays more for his workers than Joe). Who eventually loses out to the other?
The problem as I see it is, Americans want a good quality product that is also affordable. Businesses are competing with each other over pricing. One of the best ways to reduce the price is if the input mechanisms that make that product became cheap (lower wage for workers) and that's where illegal immigrants come in-they make products cheap and affordable. If you replace the illegals with Americans-they will demand a better and reasonable wage and that will affect the pricing of goods.
I believe businesses must be convinced that if they're caught hiring illegal immigrants, they must pay a huge fine per head. No jobs, no illegals. For social benefits programs, the person seeking assistance, must prove that he/she is an American citizen or are waiting to become an American citizen (legally).
I heard so many stories in which illegal immigrants have been caught and were sent back home only to return again. I've seen footages of Mexicans climbing or making wholes through steel barriers.
I'm okay with the Mexicans who are willing to adopt our ways of life but those gangs and those illegals in American prisons should be kicked out, why not. Better yet, to some degree, I would like a law passed stating that the family (if not citizens) of these illegal criminals should be kicked out also (as a deterrent).

For example, back in either 94/95, Mexico was about to experience economic depression and the American leaders worried that there would be an influx of poverty stricken Mexicans flowing into America. A note about Iran. They do give their oil at a very cheap price to neighboring countries at the expense of their own people. Gas prices have quadrupled in the past year and half which resulted in mass demonstrations and burning of gas stations. You may want to look into it. If they (companies) lose their illegal immigrant employees, they would follow other American companies and actually move to Mexico or China (that's one way illegals won't come to America ironically). The main interest for these businesses are profits, they don't care about nationalism, that's capitalism for ya.

Let's say two companies produce the same product (tooth brush)-Joe produces toothbrush in Mexico and the cost in making them is much lower than Bob who also owns a toothbrush factory in Kansas. Joe sends all his products to the American market and so does Bob. To make a profit, Bob puts a higher price on each single toothbrush compared to Joe (since Bob pays more for his workers than Joe). Who eventually loses out to the other?

The problem as I see it is, Americans want a good quality product that is also affordable. Businesses are competing with each other over pricing. One of the best ways to reduce the price is if the input mechanisms that make that product became cheap (lower wage for workers) and that's where illegal immigrants come in-they make products cheap and affordable. If you replace the illegals with Americans-they will demand a better and reasonable wage and that will affect the pricing of goods.

I believe businesses must be convinced that if they're caught hiring illegal immigrants, they must pay a huge fine per head. No jobs, no illegals. For social benefits programs, the person seeking assistance, must prove that he/she is an American citizen or are waiting to become an American citizen (legally).

I heard so many stories in which illegal immigrants have been caught and were sent back home only to return again. I've seen footages of Mexicans climbing or making wholes through steel barriers.

I'm okay with the Mexicans who are willing to adopt our ways of life but those gangs and those illegals in American prisons should be kicked out, why not. Better yet, to some degree, I would like a law passed stating that the family (if not citizens) of these illegal criminals should be kicked out also (as a deterrent).

So you don't believe the idea that once these illegal immigrants feel safe to come out from hiding, they are more likely to pay tax and assimilate much more quickly? Also, don't you think the firms that hired them in the first place might chase them to the south of the border (or even to China)? What about the illegals that do the dirty and cheap works? I would understand if these illegals were stealing the best paying jobs but so far I haven't heard illegals drying up doctor positions :D

What about if you legalized all the illegals in America but at the same time got strict on who ever comes in America after that (making barriers, funding more for border guards, more UAVs). I really didn't hear about the Mexican illegal problems before 2002 in the American media, it's like Americans suddenly woken up to a giant gorilla in their midst:D

This is an economical problem and it needs some economical solution. For example, back in either 94/95, Mexico was about to experience economic depression and the American leaders worried that there would be an influx of poverty stricken Mexicans flowing into America. So they dumped multi-billion dollars of American money into Mexico's banks to offset that problem.

If America is struggling against a small population about 30 million in Iraq what do you think America would face if they attacked Mexico??? Especially when a huge percentage of its civilians are in America. Besides, America is wasting it's resources on its ill gotten war in the desserts of the Middle East not by some Mexicans.

Like I was saying, it's not the standing military (Mexican) you should worry about, it's the ordinary citizens-(like Iraq).
