Loved this tutorial. Your make up was impeccable as well. Thank you for demystifying the braid out curl. I will be trying it as a look while I am on my relaxer/heat free journey.
Can you or anyone here tell me the benefit(s) of using the diffuser cause I don't have one and I am interested to know if I can achieve the same look without the diffuser. Thx.
@xXxmissysunshinexXx I did, but I'm just afraid that it won't turn out the right way, because my roots are really flat and I really want to get this look, it looks gorgeous.
Really cute. I'm glad you mentioned the products you used weren't greasy. Most products marketed for black folks hair is so greasy. I'm a huge fan of Paul Mitchell & Aveda but I will give Miss Jessie's a try. I think I saw it at Target.
I agree with BellaStackz "you are the first person i seen use the diffuser on a braid out!! im definitely tryin that" I have natural hair and generally rock that curly look but never considered using rollers that way...thank you that was a really good /informative video
Hey Brittney! I was wondering do you use Miss Jessie's every time you do your curly braid out? Like is it essential to only use that product or are there other basic products that work fine for this style?
Absolutely love this tutorial, gonna try it out tonight! I'm a mother of 2 young children, 2 1/2yr old and 8 month old, so it's really hard to find time to doll myself up, hope this really works for my hair! I have thin, frizzy, shoulder length hair that never wants to do anything for me! So I'm gonna try some gel using this method with the rollers since I already have those. Thanks!
Your hair came out really cute. My hair is about the same length and I love curly looks. I am really looking forward to trying this style. How long does this style last? Do you braid and roll every night? Thank you for making this video :)
@OarilebeauO I don't believe I said that. Even so, it's my understanding that "African" (why is it in quotes as though "Africans" don't actually exist or something.) African women have only been able to grow their hair out so long, like just past the shoulders is amazing for them. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I haven't met any.
Loved this video, made me excited to want to try this with my hair. I dont have the money to purchase the miss jessies products which i heard lovely things about so im going to just use my shea butter products, hope it comes out right. Thank u once again, this had been a BIG help! :)
I subscribing my daughter has to see this video she has hair like yours and puts way too much heat on her hair and then wonders why her hair breaks off
My hair used to be curly and because im always straightening my hair is all dry and burned and i would really like to make my hair curly again so i was wondering if this could actually work with my hair even without the products?? Would be great if you could tell me :)
Hi Brittney, is your hair naturally curly? Or do you relax it to make it manageable? Please answer back, I have naturally curly hair but it clumps up in the back which makes it look poofy and dry. Just wondering if there's any products you'd recommend for that? Thanks, love your videos so far!
Hey girl! I did this on my hair and it looked great! The only problem is that i got more of a bend and not a spiral. I do not have foam rollers. Can I finger curl it?
Hi there, i have similar hair to yours and am going to have a go at trying your method though I don't have your products but will have a go at braiding it out and see if it works to a certain level. I live in the uk and will need to check if they sell them products here. Will keep in touch by the way you really look great with the hairdo. cheers
im gonna try this tonighttt , i hope it works . im gonna use sponge rollers for my ends . i love how you braided it and it still turned out CURLY and not wavy . im currently trans from relaxed to natural , so will be good to hide my 4 inches of newgrowth , whoo !
Yes , as in relaxed hair. ~ So did you do exactly what BrittneyNGray did or did you use perm or sponge rollers ??? ~sorry a bunch of ?S this hairstyle is sooo cute !
I love how African hair looks when it's curly. It just doesn't look as good straightened out. Screw the stereotype that long straight hair is beautiful, I love short curly hair. I wish my hair could do that.
long straight hair is beautiful AND so is short curly african hair. i think all types of hair can be beautiful and ugly. i mean i see sum white gurls wit long straight hair thats ugly bc its thin and fallin out for watever reason. but yes i do think african american natural hair is prettier. it just looks more appealing to me
@GoNoAMMo HAIRLISTA WEBSITE. PLENTY OF BLACK WOMEN WITH LONG HAIR SO IT'S NOT SOME FOREIGN CONCEPT. AND IF YOURE TALKIN ABOUT BLACK WOMEN, NOT ALL ARE AFRICAN....... SMH -_-
@blastoffpartytime I'm not sure why you're yelling at me. For most african woman with long hair, they use extensions. Show me one who has natural long hair, and I'll take it back, but out of the people I know and talk to, it doesn't really happen often. Perhaps it's because of all the crazy things they do to their hair? I don't know. I do know not all black women are African, however in America African-American is the politically correct term despite the difference.
@GoNoAMMo I JUST TOLD YOU TO GO TO HAIRLISTA. THAT IS WHERE THERE ARE PLENTY OF BLACK WOMEN WITH LONG NATURAL HAIR. AND NO ONE IS YELLING AT YOU, I TYPE IN ALL CAPS. DEAL WITH IT. AND BLACK WOMEN ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES THAT DO SUCH CRAZY THINGS TO THEIR HAIR. A LOT OF WHITE GIRLS DYE THEIR HAIR LIKE CRAZY, GET IT PERMED, ETC. JUST BECAUSE THE BLACK LADIES YOU TALK TO DON'T HAVE LONG HAIR DOESNT MEAN ALL BLACK WOMEN AREN'T WOMEN ARE CAPABLE. THERE ARE A LOT OF DIFFERENT PEOPLE OUT THERE.
@blastoffpartytime Dude. I live in New Orleans...There are LOTS of black women here, and I see the same things over and over again. There are also white women who do too much to their hair, and can't grow it out past a certain point, but dying it isn't necessarily what damages your hair, the tugging on it to put it in tight cornrows or braids might though. Or perhaps it's simply part of their DNA, which if they're not completely black, but have something mixed in there, that might make up for it
@GoNoAMMo DYING CAN DAMAGE THE HAIR IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO PROPERLY CARE FOR IT AFTERWARDS OR IF YOU DYE IT TOO MUCH. TIGHT CORNROWS CAN BE DAMAGING, AS WELL TOO LIKE YOU SAID, BUT NOT IF YOU KNOE HOW TO PROPERLY CARE FOR THEM SUCH AS NOT BRAIDING TOO TIGHTLY, TAKING THEM OUT AFTER A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME, ETC. BUT WHATEVER. YOU'VE MADE YOUR POINT BY NOW, AS DID I. PEACE :)
