  • what's the name of the background song? I really like it.

  • valid saving faith verified by faith is wonderful doctrine taught by you. May God use you more and more to glorify the name of Lord Jesus Christ. You are preaching the core value of the Christian doctrine without fear of being rejected by men. You are not men pleasure but you are God pleasure. .

  • Faith alone saves, but saving faith is never alone!

  • @TheOpenminded12460 What do you have to back up what you stated?

  • @TheOpenminded12460 im glade ur here listing to this sermon because if u didnt care for the lord u wouldnt be on here wondering ''whats dead faith '' our lord god has a plan 4 u ..........god loves u

  • Lovely job! Thanks for posting----nice

  • Works prove nothing of Christ work. The word to prove Christ Atonement is erroneous. Many can die without works

  • NO, Works proves that you have been justified by Christ alone through Faith alone through Grace alone!

  • @deadlygladiator Works cannot prove that Christ satisfied God for you.Macarthur made an all inclusive staement that no works and Christ Atonement for you is in effective.Christ fruit is virtuous not outward works. Many have died on their bed ,no works, many invalids,no works, many mentally ill no works.Works prove nothing of justification

  • God is satisfied with Jesus alone!

  • @polopowers1, that isn't true at all. Works are not just things you do with your body. They are things you do with your heart, your mind, your soul. Praying for someone is as wonderful a work of a believer as feeding the poor. However, if you are able to act but do not, you are either a false convert or a fool.

  • This is pure heresy. Because it says Christ is not satisfying unless confirmed by man's works

  • @polopowers1 J.M. is simply making the point that James made in scripture. A transformed heart (by Christ) will result in a transformed life (the way you think, feel, and act). If you tell your spouse that you love him/her but act as though you do not its made clear to them that you do not because your actions show otherwise. Same with your faith in Christ. If its real, you'll show it.

  • @joetrainer31 No I'm sorry he is not. John is saying that if affection is not there your not saved. He is saying works prove saving faith vindicating Christ as being in your life. Many have sincerely saved and have neither works or measures of man to prove. The mentally ill sometimes cannot do works or even understand them. There are believers who are so far removed from God also whom you would not know they know God, but do.Works measure a man has faith in action not proof of saving faith

  • @polopowers1 if you won't believe what I tell you from scripture believe what scripture itself says 1 John 2:3,4. The entire book would be better. If your life pattern is not one of keeping God's commands (obedience to His word) you cannot rightfully claim to be a Christian. That's John's point in 1 John 2 and MAcArthur's point in the clip above. Pray for the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to His truth. God bless

  • @joetrainer31 In the same book a believer sins a sin unto death. Many die early living in physical sin yet born again. There is a sin unto death I do not ask you should pray for it; is believers. And since you like John 1 the Seed the Holy Spirit in them( believers) sins not but the flesh can sin for believers unto death. And your off context of John who says the cross is vindicated by works.Nothing vindicates Christ for righteousness imputed.Only God knows not man in measuring righteousness

  • @joetrainer31 Many moral Catholics or Mormons can work righteousness but are not of God.Morals and works do not prove Christ. We do not do truth or keep His commandments always or perfectly. So you must mean he who keeps them most of the time in truth. This is proof of whom is definitely saved? Very subjective and also implies obedience is addition to Christ satisfying God on your behalf 1John 2:1,2 before 3,4

  • @polopowers1 Big difference between moralism & redemption which you seem to be aware of. There are a lot of moral ppl in hell right now. True no one keeps His statutes perfectly (1 John 2). A redeemed person's life will be marked by a hatred of their own sin & a love for Christ which will manifest itself in the righteous works (2 Cor 5:17) JM is talking about & what 1 John is talking about. Its not subjective. Scripture is objective. Loving obedience is an outworking of true repentance

  • @joetrainer31 Sin is not the problem for believers it is sincere devotion. Focus on sin you will sin Focus on devotion you have victory Christ is not vindicated as real in a person for whom He died by that person having an extraordinary hatred of sin. All my sin in Christ is dead past present future.True righteousness accepts the quality of Christ atonement a finished work to enjoy.Works or appearances of righteousness makes no believer any more forgiven or righteous. Righteousness is not added

  • @polopowers1 That just doesn't square w/Scripture.

  • @joetrainer31 Christ victory does not square with you?You focus on sin defeat? There is one righteousness the one Christ afforded. You know of another? I honor Christ victory not a righteousness that sounds good and noble. I accept what He has done as finished. If Christ has not paid for your future sin present past you are not under atonement effect. You see that is the problem when man things he must vindicate Christ by works. But it is not of works which we have done Titus 3:5 what scripture?

  • @polopowers1 Yep. I like Your point. But we tend to forget, that Christ died so that we may be free from sin and sin would no longer have dominion in our lives. Therefore, if we continue doing "purpose driven" sin, then we have neglected his grace. Everyone slips and falls, but to continue in a sin making-mindset is not what a born again child of God does. I figured this out sooooo late, cuz theres so much mumbo in the church today. Thank God for men like this. God bless You all.

  • Christ faith and His work given in faith to His elect is not vindicated by works

  • Death bed conversions have no works, invalids have no works. This is heresy to say noone is saved without proving works

  • He is risen indeed!

  • stupid poem doesn't even rhyme.enough with this sillyness spam.

  • Burn the gospel of lunacy, my ritual has begun. Bathe in the darkness, it is Satan's creation. For life eternal in the demon's lodge. Burn the book of lies with flames. Choose the darkened spiraling path. Unholy world of doom and gloom awaits. Breath of demons soon flow. Darkness in your soul for all time. A gathering storm in a shadowy realm. Black clouds boiling in the sky. Signed in the shrine of blood 'n fear. The diabolical temple of hell. Satan's feet mark the ground.
  • @RobertBaral365 Hebrews 10:29-30

  • Where do you get your info?

  • So you just follow your evil desires that is in your soul? Have you ever meet Satan?

  • So do you have any thought of your own? Who made Lucifer? Am I going to get another funny poem? Where do you get this info?

  • John MacArthur certainly knows that it starts with 'believing on the LORD Jesus Christ' and then we have the entire Word of GOD to learn and live from. We should appreciate authoritative correction this side of our physical death. Our pride has no worth compared to our service unto Christ and eternity!

  • Proverbs1:26 reads: "I will also laugh at your calamity. I will mock when your dread comes."

How odd that someone with the username "Proverbsc1v26" now has a suspended YTube acct. Apparently his "noble task" is to cause enough dissension around here that he has found his haughty self in the naughty chair. I'd laugh if didn't exercise a little kindness & self-control. Must be an "angry" Arminian. They never quite get it. "Works" is an natural outcropping of the Holy Spirit working in you.

  • MacArthur says believing on Jesus Christ is not enough, what does the Bible say?

"...what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved..." Acts 16:31

Who is lying? MacArthur or the Bible? I'll side with the Bible over this hellbound heretic, thank you.

  • Friend, it IS faith alone that saves, but it must be the kind of faith that produces fruit, because "faith without works is dead". So is it alone anymore? I'm open to discussion. But we know the works don't save us, but faith without works doesn't either. Acts 16:31 is true of course, but other verses define what kind of belief it is to be. "We're saved by faith alone, but not faith that is alone". True faith (which alone saves) will show itself by works. Does that make sense?

  • Faith without works saves, read Romans 4:5.

James 2 isn't in the context of salvation, rather it's talking about how Christians are justified in the eyes of MAN, not of God. A Christian who lives a sinful life will be a terrible soul winner and a terrible servant of God because others will see his bad fruit. There is no chapter of the Bible taken more out of context than James 2.

  • I honestly don't know any plainer way to read it James 2 "if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds, Can such faith save him?" The question is asked with an obvious answer. "You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?" It just talking about being saved. That doesn't seem to mention another person's opinion of you. If a "Christian lifes a sinful life" he should wonder if he is a Christian. A dominantly sinful life is not the fruit of the Spirit, is it?

  • Can faith without works save you? The answer is yes:

"But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." Romans 4:5

I don't know how more plain the Bible could be on this subject, it reiterates this literally hundreds of times. Do you think the Bible has contradictions? I don't.

  • You say MacArthur is a heretic...I actually purchased a MacArthur study bible, without having a clue who he is, and in the foot note written by him, he uses scripture to support the fact that "salvation is always a sovereignly given gift of God's grace (Ro 3:24, Eph 2:8-9)." What he is saying in the video is that when a person believes in Jesus, the faith is not authentic, unless it (the saving faith in Christ) produces a visible change in the person's heart and secondly, life stlye.

  • @Proverbsc1v26

Romans 4:5 speaks against "trusting" your works to save. If a person truly trusts that Christ work on the cross is what saves he of course will love Christ which will result in obedience. The love and obedience are the effect of salvation so of course we should examine ourself for evidence of our salvation to see if we are truly in the faith.

  • @Proverbsc1v26

Yes and the rest of the bible defines what saving belief is: The devil believes but his belief does not result in him calling Christ Lord and loving and obeying Him. So we muct study the whole word of God and not just pick up parts that tickle our ears.

  • I've got this CD I love this song!!! =D Messiah!!

  • Im glad i don't have a weak stomach------> 2:02

  • while I appreciate your efforts and always enjoy and learn from any message from John MacArthur, the music needs to go. Sorry

  • your crazy that song is awesome!! Thanks for watching. :-)

  • Ok ok brother/sister. It's awesome!! :D Blessings

  • He is a brother. :-) God bless

  • @BecominglikeJESUS if you look up the underground church in iran they are singing the same song.

  • The background music makes this video unwatchable without going crazy. Too bad, I'm sure it's a good message.

  • I love It!!

  • I agree with dkshotwell...

  • Great video !!

  • How can u disagree with Calvinism

  • I Dont the more I study the more true it becomes.

  • poolboy, write down Romans 4 and show me what will refute everything he just said. i think John is one of the top 2 educated bible scholars in world today and everything he says is 100% accurate but if you have anything to disprove what he said, please post...

  • Right On

  • Plus the more that I study about Calvinism, the more I disagree with it.

  • Really I can't help but agree the more i study. Ya if it is no trouble I would love it.

  • He was kicked off of a major radio network(BBN) back in the 70's for teaching that the blood isnt what saves us. I dont have the article with me but if you really want I can get it from my pastor.

  • And if you heard him fully, he is right, Macarthur said it was not the blood, the liquid substance, that saves, it is the shedding of the blood as a sacrifice which saves. The blood in and of itself, apart from the sacrificial act didnt do anything, yet too many people think of Christs blood as some sort of magical substance. His blood was never the focal point, His shedding it to satisfy the judicial requirement for sin is.

  • If im not mistaken BBN kicks people off for having praise music too....so whoopee

  • Where can I find him teaching that? That really is intresting to me.

  • Isn't this the preacher that says that the blood of Christ doesn't save us?

    Rom 3:25, Rom 5:9, Eph 1:7, Eph 2:13, Col 1:14, Col 1:20, Heb 9:12, Heb 9:14, Heb 13:12, 1Pe 1:2, 1Pe 1:19, 1Jn 1:7, Rev 1:5, Rev 5:9, Rev 7:14, Rev 12:11.

If Mr Macarthur cant study his bible enough to know about Chrst's blood then forgive me if I dont run out and believe everything that he teaches. I could just as easily read Romans 4 with pretty music and refute everything he just said.

  • I'm not saying that he's wrong on every issue. I just have learned not to put too much confidence in man. Men tend to be wrong on alot of things.

Psa 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

I've been guilty in the past of believing everything my favorite preacher at the moment said. And Macarthur was one of them for a time.

  • For a time? What happened? I agree

Psa 118:8. You might know this, but that is the center verse of the whole bible.

  • The video at the top is a defence about the blood. You should look into things "Especially" when there a brother.

  • I'm so glad there are preachers like this who are not afraid to speak the truth. They want to please God and not men.

Think about how many who are deceived by seeker friendly preachers!?

  • @JabalalLawz I was one of the deceived and one point. Christ changed all that praise His name.

  • Amen to this.
