Who is this ridiculous sissy-pants doing the video? What in the hell is wrong with males today? "Hey - I'll look like THIS - everyone will love it". Seriously - the whole "Look at me - I'm FABULOUS" generation - enough already. Shut up and do something. Sorry - but this was a video response to the passing of someone who didn't give two-shakes about how he LOOKED. There is a lesson in there, somewhere, if you care to learn it. Image isn't everything - it's NOTHING.
MAN THAT'S SAD DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY ? HE MUST HAVE BEEN SO UNHAPPY WITH HIS LIFE TO ALL THAT READ THIS IF YOU EVER FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE NO HOPE THEN CALL LIFE LINE BECAUSE THERE IS HOPE
It makes me FU**ING SICK how some of you are so, "Oooh, poooor Brad". Give me a FU**ING break!! HOW DARE he bitch how Tom was so controlling of him. Was Tom holding a fu**ing GUN TO HIS HEAD??? NOOOOOO!! He was grown up, he ALWAYS had choices to make!!!! And he fu**ing KILLED HIMSELF INTENTIONALLY!!! Selfish bastard!!!
@mediterraneanqueen you never know the torture that goes along with living everyday that something that cannot be fixed can eat at your soul and to call it selfish is simply because your lucky enough to have plenty of optionsand clearly not as tender hearted and im sure your kids, if u have them, dont hate you or your family hasnt disowned you and ur working. with a car and a house and a career that doesnt require your talent be a little more greatful that ur not in his or a similar mans shoes.
I still can't understand why it happened. So sad. I'm 33 and remember of course listening to their music in the 80's. But when their "Walk On" album came out in the 90's I simply thought , wow, this is really good stuff. Like "Need Your Love, Livin For You and Walk On" and I remember thinking back then with those songs how blessed and happy I thought Brad felt of himself for being so talented. Like how proud his parents were of him, ya know? Just sad. But we can still enjoy his voice! RIP!!!!
Who can truly determine what state of mind any particular individual is in at any given time in their life. Their are so many factors involved. (Depression, Anxiety, Fear, Sense of helplessness. Abuse of drugs and alcohol. None of these things have anything to do with mental illness. A lapse of judgement maybe. An inability to face ones inner demons or problems and deal with them. The true perfectionist who demands only success from themselves refuses to compromise. Brad Delp a true legend.
Itr's important to note that "how he looks" has absolutely nothing to do with how he might feel ilnside. And that is the poblem. "Selfish" has abvsoutely othing to do with wanting to
learn from this talented man's sad demise in order to avoid that loss with others in the future.
I understand that mental illness exists. What I don't understand is why America is determined to say he was "so unselfish and peaceful" when he left his children, his fiancee, and an adoring fan base by commiting major violence to himself. Wouldn't it better honor this talented and very disturbed man if his legacy included more attention to the causes and hidden symptoms of mental illness?
I think it’s nice and all that you are paying tribute to Brad for all his musical accolades and everything. But the bottom line is; he was the father of two children who most certainly did not care that their father was a has been rock-star. His selfishness for days gone by far outweighed the needs of his children; and that is truly the tragic aspect of this story.
Man, this broke my heart when it happened. And it still does. I was listening to Boston since i was about 10 years old. My father had an vinyl of the first Boston record and a few years later i discovered the rest of the albums. Such a waste of a good person and a good talent. It´s a stupid thing to commit suicide because there aren´t any problems that can´t be worked out.. But may he rest in peace for i love his music so much
He slammed too much of a load...just sayin'...

One of the lessons to be learned here is not to underestimate the immense power that depression can have in a person's life.

@ems8266 when I get depressed I make a big cake, then I take it to the park and share it with the birds.

939 Socket: Yes. Major violence to himself. Killing onseself , regardless of the method, is an act of vviolence. Again,
mental illness is real. Let's get into the solution instead of staying in denial and fantasy.
