  • LOL Bill Clinton is so lying ,he knows she's completely incompetent and anything he can say to make her a republican choice makes his party the winner ,he's shrewd that one is

  • Palin was appointed for a novelty factor. It backfired in spectacular way. She is so underqualified it's unreal I bet the GOP were pissed when that brawd was hired!!

  • love Bills smile while talking about Palin! Haha

  • Wolf is such a pussy. Cafferty should have broken his jaw.

  • Why is it that when a Republican does something its twice as bad as when a democrat does it.

Had Bush been poking the mouth of some chubby intern would we have been saying "lets move on" no we wouldnt.

Bil Clinton HAD the affair but that doesnt mean he was a bad President.

  • President Clinton was a great president!

  • This video is asinine. No where within it does President Clinton endorse or say that Palin is a good choice for VP. He is defending a persons motives to vote for her and their rights in doing so. He is talking about psychology and philosophy, not politics. No betrayal whatsoever; you act as if he is saying, "If you are a woman vote for McCain/Palin, disregard any economic, political, social or moral views you might have regarding the election. Palin is a woman like you VOTE FOR HER."

  • If you want a betrayal to the Democratic Party, look at Joe Lieberman.

He CAMPAIGNED with McCain and Palin, for God's sake!

I second etg's opinion, by the way. People who vote on "values" are pretty much shitting on people who need to EAT.

  • Bill, how can you support her, you went to Oxford, she went to HarFurd

  • clinton just wants to fuck her!

  • so, why does anyone give a damn what Clinton does privately. Him getting a blow job doesnt ruin the economy, however much someone wants to try to make that claim

  • pathetic....Weren't there potential VP's like Romney or Huckabee? Why get another non-maverick who supports bailouts

  • You can be sure Romney supports bailouts, Huckabee doesn't know jack about the economy so he would do whatever his advisers say (and if he hires experts that would be yes to bailouts).

  • You can tell the Bill wants to hump her. But I think thats all the use he has for her. Haha.

  • doesnt he have it right that voting on social issues is a luxury?

  • "Instintively effective candidate"---one pathological liar recognizes another, I guess.

The Financial Times endorsed Barack Obama today praising his moderation and "calm and methodical disposition", calling McCain's handling of the crisis "half-baked", and reminding, in regard to McCain's nomination of the unqualified Palin, "Rashness is not a virtue in a president".

    the crisis "half-baked", and

  • Obama's plans for this country are not job growth, but job loss. If you tax the largest companies in this country, and allow unions to sneak in the back door of major corporations as the dems are proposing. It will result in Massive job loss. Ie: Willy mart a major retailer in this country 1.4 million employees. Decides on Jan 21 they take Obama on his word to raise taxes, and allow unions in. They cease to operate in the US. 1.4million jobs lost. Don't think it can happen?

    ask yourself why not

  • I swear Palin's Downs syndrome 1 year old kid is smarter than her

  • That's not a down syndrome baby. He's just a sleeeeepy Eskimo. Dreaming of slushies and dog sleds.

  • º¤ø„¸ º¤ø„¸ º¤ø

    Vote Barack Obama!

    ¤º°¨„ø¤º°¨„ø¤º°

  • It's almost as if Clinton understands how dangerous an Obama presidency will be and doesn't want to see it happen.I can't wait to see it happen just to see all you Obama cultists with your mouths open when he starts appointing his leftard cabinet.

  • GO CLINTON! GO KATIE COURIC! GO CAFERTY for exposing this unqualified robot!

  • That's America! Bill Clinton has the right to his opinion.

He's just not getting in the middle of all of the mess that's been going on with this election...and I don't blame him.

Maybe Sarah Palin was the only one to represent, because all of the other Republicans were scared!

I don't agree with her views but I am man enough to call it like I see it.

Sarah has my respect but maybe She should try for Congress, Senate, and then President.

  • Looks like Jack has a burr stuck up somewhere. Get ahold of your emotions, wimp. Goodness, he's about to cry.

  • Oh stop the madness.... He was disgusted that McCain would pick that unprepared a VP running mate. Worse choice since Quayle. Obama looks like he has way more of a grasp than the so-called more "executive experienced" GOVERNOR Palin. It was obvious why he chose her and pathetic as well... to try to lure disgruntled Hillary supporters while at the same time appeasing the conservative right. Well this bogus VP candidate will come back to bite him in the butt. Alaska has what 700,00 people? Please

  • My comment was aimed at Jack's woosy rant, regardless of what it was about. I'm sick of people like him and Chris Matthews displaying high emotion over one candidate or another in the media. Just talk about it without acting like little girls.

  • And Clinton would only change if this sentiment was shared by millions. It wouldn't matter if it's true or not. "Just don't leave me unliked!" It's so frustrating because I used to really admire him, and I'm really beginning to believe he's tool. Not someone great.

  • I wish Clinton read that comment bc he would have nothing to say for a change. He would just shut the fuck up, and say "I'm wrong." Great president and out of office he's done great charity work. But he stopped looking out of America the second he walked out of office. I have to be a victim of Hurricane Katrina for Clinton to make a real effort to help me with his stature.

  • Clinton needs to man up and get over his need to please everyone. As an American, I don't know that Clinton gives a fuck about me since he won't warn me about what an obvious nightmare Palin would be as president. It's just like how he was too soft on Bush when he was fucking over the American people. Is Clinton a real man or a pandering tool? Leaders know how to not care about popularity, like Lincoln. Clinton is weak out of office. Very weak.

  • Has anyone seen the interviews and the debate that followed this interview? It's in complete contradiction to Palin's character and political knowledge in this video- like it or not. I changed my mind about her after I heard her in other interviews and the debate, some people are to bias too do so. For Christ's sake, its her second interview on national television in her life. Politicians are humans, NO ONE can succeed in American politics with the political aptitude displayed in this interview.

  • "For Christ's sake, its her second interview on national television in her life."

See this is the problem. She is running for VP not casting call on some reality show. IT IS NOT OK.every1 saying well she did real good in the debate better than we exspected.

THIS IS A VP candidate, UR NOT SUPPOSED TO COME OFF AS OK she did alright.

    BUT REMEMBER WHEN O VOTE

"For Christ's sake, its her second interview on national television in her life."

WOW if they win she'll get a 3rd cameo. SAD!

  • Check out the twinkle in Billy Boy's eye .... he sooooo wants to nail Mrs Palin.

And lets face it ..... he probably could!

  • Sarah Palin's words don't follow a coherent pattern. First she talks about Health care reform, job creation, tax cuts? Then trade. Stop using generic political terms to fool people.

  • Bill is talking like this because he wants to clean his hands of all the partisan horseshit that he became embroiled in during his wife's failed Democratic primary battle - he doesn't like Obama.

  • Adda boy Jack Cafferty!!!

  • Maybe I'm seeing a different video but I disagree that Bill Clinton was endorsing Sarah Palin, he was merely making the point as why she is very compelling to a lot of people despite her obvious short falls in abilities and qualifications. I think the democrats would do well to pay attention to what he's or else we will all be looking forward a Palin vice presidency.

  • i agree w/deltaxml. BC's a smart, instinctive politician. he understands that if he were to get on tv & badmouth palin for all of the obvious reasons (obvious to any of us who see what an unqualified, annoying liar she is), it would destroy his credibility among a segment of voters that DID respond favorably to palin @ first. for BC to just dismiss palin would be the same as dismissing those voters: he would lose his ability to influence them. it's good for obama for him to have talked that way.

  • to add to that; if you think about it tactically, it's not nec the best thing for BC & HC to be seen as 100% sympatico w/ obama. obama doesn't want all of the baggage that comes w/the clintons & nor should he, as he's running a dif kind of campaign (1 that would've been impossible in 1992).

for proof, look @ what's happened. palin's popularity plummeted, & BC still wields influence, stumping 4 obama much more. swing states trust him, & by not pushing too hard, he helps accustom them 2 obama.

  • It seems to me that Bill is mocking people that are supporting Palin simply because she is a women, even though she has no clue on how to improve our economy.... But then again what do I know?

  • Wow Bill Clinton has some Problems after all this years of Koksing

  • I'm surprised you didn't here people off the set laughing hystericly after that answer she gave in that interview

  • Who's going to bail me out with my bills. Thought so

  • Bill Clinton's making big bloopers on this campaign run. First he disses Obama before Obama became the democratic nominee for president, and now he's siding with Palin solely on her appeal. I can see why he got into the Lewinsky scandal in the first place

  • Bill said the finanial implosion we have started at FannieMae & FreddieMac is the Democrats respo0nsibility. From 2003 to 2006 Frank, Dodd and the Black Caucus et al; said Mae & Mac were just fine as Republicans and McCain tried to bring financial control to its run away policies under Raines and Jim Johnson. They blocked legislation on Party lines 100% and NOW they say it is Bush's fault. Unqualified borrowers, under the Fairness doctrine, caused this mess and the Democrats store millions!

  • The statements by Bill Clinton that you cite may support the video's point regarding his loyalty.

However, on your broader point, while the Democrats share some blame for the financial crisis: the real cause of the crisis was the wholesale financial deregulation championed by the Republicans, particularly, McCain's guy, Phil Graham (of "nation of whiners" fame), who ensured that the derivative markets would remain unregulated.

  • Phil Graham had some responsibility, but it was the political machine by Clinton/Rubin that engineered Graham's legislation with extreme pressure by the Black Caucus. Bush was remiss in not clearly fighting loans to non-qualifieds, but the atmosphere of racist charges if you tell the truth, such as calling the 2004/05 hearings on Mae & Mac where they said Republicans were try8ng to do an economic lynching of Raines rather than the clear attempt to circumvent what has become reality.

  • Your points regarding the Democrats' responsibility for not properly regulating Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac are well taken.

Where we disagree is that I see the Republicans as more responsible for the wholesale deregulation of the financial markets, and dismantling of the regulatory system that was established after the Great Depression.

While the Democrats are not much better in that regard, I think there is some hope that they will be more responsive to the interests of regular Americans.

  • More importantly, the problems at Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac are more of a symptom than the cause of the financial problems because neither of those institutions purchased SUB-PRIME loans. They only purchased PRIME mortgages.

But, I don't disagree with you that the Democrats share responsibility regarding not properly regulating those institutions.

  • Turn on CSPAN right now and watch Waxman quiver as he tries to cover up the root problem, Mae & Mac, and the criminals who stole, used fraud, cooked the books and protected their cronies (still). Subprime was protected by the same Democrat Cronies in Congress and Mae&Mac who got low interet rate loans from Countrywide at the expense of the country - graft, corruption, lies and pigging out at the taxpayers expense.

  • There is a tremendous amount of corruption. And, Congress passed, and the President signed, a bail out plan which will funnel over 800 billion dollars of taxpayers' money to the same crooks. And, the stock market today is taking a dive, nonetheless, partly due to Europe crashing, but also because of a lack of confidence in the bail out plan.

But, the way I see it, the Democrats are a step in the right direction. If it were up to the Republicans, we would have lost social security too.

  • Here's an idea, let's vote all of them out, every damn last one for 12 years. No seniority, no retirement, no perks, no graft, no putting a price on their votes. No buying our votes with $1200 checks or trillion dollar socialism. Let's cut government back to its original intent - protect and defend the nation. Close down half of the bureacracy that only serves itself. We, the People, are cheap to buy because we think Change will come from someone who won't take his own criminal party to task.

  • There does not exist a big room full of 800 billion dollars. There is no huge fund like this...no taxpayers money.

It will be borrowed. It will be debt. America as a country is going deeper into debt.

  • What`s your point with bashing president Clinton. Clinton campaigned for Obama, and helped him win Florida. Hillary is now the secretary of state. And you had to bring up the Lewinsky scandal too. That`s LAME. Every rightminded democrat should be mad as hell over the treatment president Clinton recieved from the right winger in the 90`s, Democrats like you make me sick. You`re siding with the right winger. You`re a disgrace!

  • you're a liar, repeating the new GOP 'talking point'. 1)fannie/freddie does NOT come ANYWHERE CLOSE to accounting for wall st's crisis. 2)the GOP now pushes this fannie/freddie premise to appeal to people's unconscious racism, diverting blame from the wall st fatcats who ACTUALLY FUCKED US, & places it on 'poor'-(read: BLACK) people for 'taking out reckless loans'. 3)DO YOU REMEMBER GW BUSH's "OWNERSHIP SOCIETY"? the GOP BEGGED for these practices.

the GOP = a bunch of dishonest racist thugs.

  • publius: you seem economically savvy, & i therefore appeal to you to keep up the good work on the fannie/freddie issue-in all of the ways/fora available to you.

i say this because it's become clear (as i mention in reply to a dif poster) that the GOP talking point on fannie/freddie is an attempt to tap into subconscious racism/resentment of, eg, workinig class whites toward not only the 'welfare state', but also 'irresponsible urban homebuyers'.

a very malicious/dishonest move by the GOP.

  • idealtypical HAS A RACIST heart. Can't face truth. Republicans ended slavery. Democrat lynchings established their power after reconstruction. REPUPBLICANS PASSED WOMEN'S SUFFRAGE OVER OBJECTIONS OF DEMOCRAT WOODROW WILSON. FDR-only President to put Americans into concentration camps. JFK sold Cuba out while he & Bobby screwed Marylin & dated a mafia girlfriend. Bill Ciinton is a sexual predator. Obama & Democrats created this finalcial mess starting with Mae & Mac. SHAME GREED LIES CRIMINALS

  • my eyes have been opened. the fact that lincoln was a republican means that the republican party hasn't changed since the civil war. oh, wait...that's right. the republican party HAS changed since the civil war. specifically, whereas it began as the abolitionist party, it changed into the de facto southern racist redneck party beginning w/ lbj & the passage of the civil rights act.

but everybody already knows that. you're babbling because your party's getting its ass kicked, and deservedly so.

  • Civil Rights Act passed by Republicans - Democrat Leadership said no.Democrat Senator Robert Byrd belonged to KKK-refers to poor whites as "white niggers". Only murderer in the Senate is Ted Kennedy - Mary Joe thought he was coming back. JFK became President because Boss Daley delivered the dead voters. 21st Century racist lives in the Congressional Black Caucus. Al Sharpton called Jews "Hymies". JesseJackson uses race to blackmail companies to line his pockets. Farrakhan ISLAMIC NAZI RACIST

  • I love this video. Not because its good but because it's a perfect example of what politicians are. It gets the worst things you can find about Palin and the worst things you can find about Clinton and then tells you "hey look, Palin sucks and so does Clinton"

How about being unbiased? Why not show when Palin has said something meaningful or when Clinton has backed Obama.

The author of this video is acting like the type of politician he is portraying Clinton & Palin to be. Stupid and conniving.

  • Regarding Palin, these are NOT the worst things about her. There's no coverage, for example, of her association with the secessionist party. The simple point about her is that she is wholly unqualified to be vice president, as even responsible McCain and former Palin supporters admit.

Regarding Bill Clinton, this is certainly NOT the worst that can be said about him, either. He was IMPEACHED after all, and is a DIS-BARRED lawyer. The video about him speaks for itself.

  • Regarding when Clinton has "backed Obama", that does not change his points about Palin, which make no sense given her complete lack of qualifications, irrespective of whatever faint praise that Clinton has given Obama. Even Saturday Night Live is poking fun at Clinton's faint praise of Obama.

More importantly, the video is backed up by a New York Times article, which points out that Clinton has gone out of this way to praise Palin.

  • Regarding showing "when Palin has said something meaningful", well when she has said something "meaninful", it has been ridiculous, and makes her look worse. Such as saying that "Perhaps" we have to go to war with Russia.

Most of her statements show that she has no qualifications, whatsoever. Her handlers simply feed her lines to recite.

  • Just because the video does not use the mainstream media's tactic of trying to make all sides appear equal does not mean that the video is biased.

ALL of the facts presented in the video are accurate, and backed up by the sources cited, i.e., Washington Post, New York Times, etc. The clips of Clinton speak for themselves.

  • it's simple:

bill and hilary need to appear as obama supporters, (while they blackmail him into paying off hilary's campaign debts which is ridiculous) but they obviously would prefer mccain to win, and then hilary to run again in 2012, when whomever runs will win, because the economy is in the toilet and the next four years will be hell for anyone-regardless of policies or good intentions.

bill is also making sure his words cant be used against him if hilary runs against obama.

  • News flash.. our economy has been in the toilet and that didn't guarantee Hilary a win this time.

There are no guarantees in politics... no one would have thought we'd reelect that dumbass Bush but hey... there he is.

Conspiracy theories are entertaining... but that's all they are.

  • When the New York Times is questioning Clinton's loyalty, and the Clintons' allegiance to Obama has become a running joke, even on Saturday Night Live, it's hardly a "conspiracy" theory that the Clintons' would prefer that McCain win, so that Hillary can run in 2012, as

    nohuntingforsport points out.

  • For those who think that Bill Clinton is just being "honest" about the economy not mattering: when it was his turn to run for president, his campaign motto was "It's the economy stupid!!!" That's because he knew very well that that was the winning issue, and he did in fact win on that issue.

But now because he doesn't want Obama to win, he argues that it's OKAY to vote against your economic interests, just because Palin is a woman.

  • Seems to me he was just being honest about what he thinks drives a voter to vote for one candidate or another. The idea of an economic threshold as he explained is amazingly true. I think people still put most importance on the economy above any other issue despite having passed a personal economic threshold of wealth and comfort.

  • He would never have made that argument if Hillary was the candidate, opposing McCain, or if he was the candidate.

Remember, the motto of the Clinton campaign: "it's the economy studip!!!" They were arguing that the economy was the most important issue, which studies and history shows is the most important issue.

But, now because he want to hurt Obama he goes out of his way to cite Maslow's theories to say that it's not.

  • ...and What he said about the way people vote (on The View) is totally solid. He's right-- people often vote against their own interests. What does that have to do with lack of support for Obama?

He's a Democrat. He's voting Democrat. These things he is saying doesn't take that back.

  • The problem is that he is not explaining that it's totally crazy to vote for McCain Palin, just because Palin is a woman, which anyone with any sense realizes.

Instead, he goes out of his way to argue that it's perfectly OK for Hillary's supporters to vote for McCain Palin, even if it's against their own econonmic interests.

  • That is not a politician who is trying to help Obama, as he claims. He would never make those types of arguments if it was Hillary that was running. For example, he would never have argued that it was OK to vote for Hillary's opponent just because her opponent was a man, which would follow from his logic.

  • Bill was a small-state gov. too. He can relate. He's just being honest. She really does reach people on a human level-- in spite of the fact that she's wrong for the job.

I don't think his opinions hurt Obama at all.

  • maybe he wanted to tap Palin backs like Mona case?

  • clinton wants to tap dat

  • i think this is a little biased. i just came from watching larry king interview Bill, and Bill had a lot of praise and good things to say about Obama.. i think these snippets don't give the whole story. That said, I'm sure he's still got some bitterness towards Obama, as unfortunate as that is.

  • Of course, he's going to make some statements supporting Obama. But, that doesn't change the fact that he's done serious damage by arguing that it's OK to vote for McCain Palin just because Palin is a woman, even if it's against your economic interests. Clinton's own campaign motto was "It's the economy stupid!" because he know that's the most important issue.

Plus, everyone now knows Clinton doesn't really support Obama. Even SNL is making fun of that. So, his lukewarm praise is worthless.

  • I freakin' love Bill Clintons assessment of Palin. She's an "instinctually effective candidate." Think about that for a minute.

A 4-year-old is instinctually effective. A bag of squirrels is instinctually effective. He picked the perfect compliment to make dumb Reps think he likes her when, in reality, he might as well have said shes good at being alive. He knew exactly what he was doing. The mans a genius. Saying he's grasping at straws is "misunderestimating" that genius.

  • is it just me..or is clinton's face super red and fucked up 5: 54..

and what the hell is foo talking about? stupid clinton. play the sax anc call monika

  • i'd hit that...

  • she is still a f....ing beauty contestant

  • I'll say what Clinton couldn't: 'Maria, Sarah Palin is what we call 'ghetto'. She talks like she grew up in trailer park in Nanticoke, Pa. If she has an education it is not reflective in her her speech. Her lack of vocabulary and the use of slang is at best very street. It scares the hell out of me to think of a state of the union address with this woman winking at the camera and saying 'ya know' after every point. (turns to the camera) America, save the country. On Nov 4 don't vote for Palin!"

  • Just goes to show unbiased journalism. I heard it, now it is confirmed, the media does take the Democrat's side in all this.

I can't wait for the election to be over, then we can go back to prenteding to like each other.

  • Haha. Bill Clinton is nicer about Sarah Palin then he ever was of Obama when Hillary was campaigning! This just shows how pissed the Clintons are at the all the loot they spent. This also shows where America's mind is ...their dick. "I don't know about Palin, but I'd fuck her" - Average Joe Voter. "This country is finished" George Carlin

  • i completely agree with you.

    rip george carlin

  • ericcruz you are an idiot.. I would like to see how comfortable you feel about having open heart surgery from someone who isn't highly educated. Yet you want someone who has no idea.. running as VP.. People like you make me realise how many stupid people are out there in this world..

  • what do you expect from media, they want Harvard educated socialists running the country. Palin proved for herself in her debate why she is capable of running the country. In fact she is more in touch with most Americans than these douchebags ever will be.

  • you're a dumbass

  • Are you fucking kidding me? She is more in touch with most Americans? You are a fool! She'll bring this country to ruin! Did you not hear her absolutely pathetic explanation on John's economic plans? She couldn't even defend his tax break plans, and you expect her to be able to run the United States of America?

  • As that CNN guy put it, what Sarah Palin came up with during the Katie Couric was fucking "pathetic"

  • ericcruz you are an idiot.. I would like to see how comfortable you feel about having open heart surgery from someone who isn't highly educated. Yet you want someone who has no idea.. running as VP.. People like you make me realise how many stupid people are out there in this world..

  • Are people really as moronic as you in America??

  • I'm sorry, but this woman is definitley not qualified to be president. The reason is because she's simply uninformed about issues and current events. Given enough time, perhaps she will be more capable politically, but right now she is not. Putting Russia and Canada as foreign policy experience because their is "trade exports" between the two nations in Alaska doesn't satisfy me a correct and decent answer. Maybe she relates to you, maybe not. Question is, would you vote for yourself?

  • what else can one expect from Clinton, he is sexual maniac.

  • A very interesting video. I think Clinton was an excellent president, but I really have not been happy with the way the Clintons have approached the other candidates in this race. They seem much more supportive of McCain than Obama, despite extreme differences in beliefs and policies.

  • clinton has become a realist as opposed to an idealogue since he has been out of office. He saw that his presidency did best when there was a republican house and senate to keep the democrat idealogues in check.

He is the only democrat out there who is being honest about the democrats call for less oversight of Freddie and Fannie, and that being one fo the root causes.....

  • If that's true, and Bill Clinton is really supporting Palin, then he should make his allegiance clear.

  • hillary is stumping for Obama and Bill is playing with both sides of the water, so when Obama loses, the Clintons will run again in 2012 and Hillary will finally be the POTUS. If Oberman wins i mean Obama then Hill doll will have more than likely no shot at being POTUS, cause by 2016 she'll be a used and washed up you know what
