america should really do what england does and split the school system a bit. what i mean is secondry school (high school) only lasts unti your 16 and you have the option to go to college after ( a two or so year thing not the same as american college) so then only mature people who want to be there go therefore almost completely stopping bullying after 16. also they should lower the sex age to 16 like in england and so less people would care if you have sex and there would be maturity about it.

I have been bullied in one class, and since I'm already in grade 8 and teased me still being harassed. with the time it is learned that just do not care, but yes it still hurts when someone barks at me, fat, or makes a noise when I walk past. even in my own little brother barks at me fat and it hurts even more than one half of the unknown from the mouth. To stop bullying: become verbally and/or physically aggressive (no weapons). Or remove yourself from that environment.
I think if people picked a fist fight with all their school bullies they'd either stop getting picked on or be expelled - either way the bullying stops. You need to warn them first though. Also, yelling and fighting in front of a teacher/adult is great because they'll stop it before anyone gets hurt, and then they'll ask what started it, and then you'll say they were bullying.

america should really do what england does and split the school system a bit. what i mean is secondry school (high school) only lasts unti your 16 and you have the option to go to college after ( a two or so year thing not the same as american college) so then only mature people who want to be there go therefore almost completely stopping bullying after 16. also they should lower the sex age to 16 like in england and so less people would care if you have sex and there would be maturity about it.

To stop bullying: become verbally and/or physically aggressive (no weapons). Or remove yourself from that environment.
I think if people picked a fist fight with all their school bullies they'd either stop getting picked on or be expelled - either way the bullying stops. You need to warn them first though. Also, yelling and fighting in front of a teacher/adult is great because they'll stop it before anyone gets hurt, and then they'll ask what started it, and then you'll say they were bullying.

Keeping this no responsibility and always nurtured mentality too long is causing kids to bully and be bullied. Such energy and productivity wasted on the so called "teenager coming of age" that does nothing but promotes social disparity and class differences.

Bullying has been going on since the beginning of time. I was bullied in school, but never, EVER, did I hurt myself, or even think of hurting myself. I took it up with the person who started the rumors, and I beat their ass. You kids now a days are so quick to want to end your life. Stick around and piss some people off! Stop feeling sorry for yourself, stop making excuses for the things you do, and start fighting back! Just a good old-fashioned ass whoopin! There is life after high school!

CourtneyLyn, it's so hard being a teenager going through school, especially when you aren't one of the "perfect" people. Life is worth it. It's so hard now, but here's something that may help... When high school is over, none of their opinions matter. Karma has a way of catching up with people. You are so very brave for putting yourself out there and telling things the way you are. The school systems needed a wake up call for their LACK of attention to the matter. Ross is a small town and doesn't like to interfere and are now forced to face the facts. Pathetic. If she wanted change she should have addressed the issue in front of the student body, in the auditorium, not on the world wide web. She clearly wants attention. Her issues are deep seeded and go beyond her high school life. Her parents should have taught her how to have self importance. I was always the tallest guy in my class and it hurt to be ridiculed like I was. You don't get over it. But, with God's help, you will get THROUGH IT. Try to trust Him.
