How can it every be free when everything you mentioned costs money to make and operate/maintain? I don't get it. Plus it's not like energy just comes out of a vacuum(at least we haven't figured that out yet).
I think you need a healthy dose of scepticism as it regards these new technologies. However, there are some bright spots like solar hot water and thin film solar panels that can already compete with subsidized oil and coal, etc.
However, I still don't how you are connecting that to iran.
