the phone is really good!!!!i got it for Christmas as my first smart phone.of course their are other phones with better horse power but this phone is the one for me :)i must say though if you have big hands then its gonna be hard .
i got my phone form a friend, and he didnt give me a USB chord, just the phone and i dont know if it is the pixi or pixi plus, i want to know if i can use a regular USB, but on my phone, there is no storage? there is only the charger plug in, someone please help and tell me where i can get this USB or something, i want to add music to it
@Olli120 I love my pixi. And I find it easy to navigate. You can watch videos or just read the pamphlet on how to navigate through the phone. Only takes a few minutes and you'll say "ha! this is simple".
r u telling me that little whole u pointed at towards the bottom of the device is for the lanyard..i have a pixi and i dont thats what that is..but if it is plz explain how ud secure it there
why does every sinlge palm pixi video say "this is my friend kate" and than show the exact same pictures from the same girl.... does she get around to every pixi owner or what?
Well I was supposed to wait...but yesterday I got the BB curve..8530 I love it! ( a big step up from my Samsung A177 Go phone which I had for just a month)
I decided to take the leap and get a contract...(after I found out that I was getting a raise):)
The pixi looks like a great phone, but it might be a little 2 feminine for me. Im with sprint so I can always change to PIXI if I feel like it.
why do they keep saying they copy the iphone, no one copys the i phone, just because they are touch screen too doesnt mean that they are copying it. in fact palm had the first touch screen phones so i guess the iphone copied the treo.
@washingtoncaps1213 physical keyboards are a must for me. I HATE touch keypads. They suck. Thats why I chose the Pixi over the Pre. I hate sliders as well, but i overheard from a Sprint tech guy that the Pre has alot of problems with buttons falling off. Its not worth the extra $100 to me.
@derox16 I suppose so. Anyway my initial comment is actually referring to the same interface design as the iPhone. I prefer many phones other than the iPhone. So I would like to congratulate you on your assumption skills there.
Well i dont know the no wifi is a deal-breaker for me I just cant do it with no wifi even if u dont really use it i mean it comes in handy when you need it. Ill be getting an iphone son
Wow, what a horrible presenatation.. After watching a supermodel go landscape mode and watching him play air hockey i am still not convinced.. i wonder why?
it depends what form factor you want, the difference is the speed, the pixi is a little slower and can run less apps at one time, and wifi. but whatever style you like better go for, there's no huge difference.
not sure yet. i have the palm pre & i am IN love with it. i went to fashion week & there was a palm pixi booth there where you could play with it. it's the same thing almost, except thinner. but i'm not that sure yet...
Having spent time with the Palm Pixi, I can that the keyboard is very good. It provides more tactile response than the keyboard on the Palm Pre.
For the intented market, WiFi isn't a must have. BlackBerry Tour seems to be doing well without WiFi and it's priced at $199. Most expect the Pixi to come in under $100.
@everythingpre What exactly does it mean when a phone doesn't have WiFi. I know I can still access the internet anywhere in the sprint network so I'm a little confused. If you could shed a little light on the matter I'd really appreciate it. I just ordered the Pixi online today.
Funny how the presenter shows that you can "comment" or "type" but never attempts to actually use the keyboard. It's because the thing is so small it's nearly unusable.
Add to that the fact that it has virtually no international text input mechanism, no WiFi (wtf?), and a painfully slow processor (Qualcomm MSM7627).
This phone is dead upon arrival, now that Motorola entered the fray with its android offerings. Not mentioning that you could get nice Blackberry phones on better networks.
Better Networks?? I get great reception have the everything Unlimited text, unlimited data, FREE MOBILE TO MOBILE and I pay $70 A month I'm staying with Sprint until a cheaper company with comparable rate plans appears
I agree! The only thing I don't like about Sprint is the phone selections (I currently have the instinct)! It is a very robust phone hardware wise, but the software is glitchy and freezes all the time. Other than those aspects, Sprint has done everything AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon has done for less money and less headache! People suckered into paying ridiculous monthly payments for mediocre service justify their stupidity by calling Sprint a lesser product! i like the idea of the Pixi though.
How do you log out of facebook??

i'm waiting for the pixi to come out on at&t, so couple questions:
is the treadstone charger included with the phone or have to buy it separate?
i've heard that it does and doesn't have video with the camera, so will it?
also does anybody have any idea on ETA?

because things on the palms such as the calendar's icon obviously bear a striking resemblance the iphone's icons
there's also a lot of similar copy cat features
but honestly who cares they're both amazing phones

@derox16 They created the first touch screen in a PORTABLE DEVICE, not a phone. There is a difference.
