  • birds abuse!!! when a bird is in this situation YOU DON'T TOUCH IT! ! !

  • stupid kid! let it go. you totally freaked it out! XO

  • Stupid kid! That bird was scared! You shouldnt have picked it up!

  • It's a Killdeer and they lay their eggs out in the open. I consider this extreme abuse of a protected species. I wish fish and game had caught you at it.

  • it looks like angry bird stuff toys.

  • Mother birds will take their babies back even if they've been touched by humans. Only mammals do this. Birds can't smell as well as mammals, so they don't smell a foreign scent... Rabbits, on the other hand, will actually EAT their babies if there is a human scent on them...

  • @glumpot I forgot to mention though, birds can actually die of fright if handled, so it's best not to if you can help it. I'm sure the baby bird in the vid is fine though, if he was going to die of fright he would of done it right then... It's mostly adults that are at risk of getting so scared they die.

  • baby Killdeer, but i don't think the mom will like your scent on it.

  • When humans get their scent on a baby bird, the mom will never take it back. Just letting you know.

  • Its a KillDeer

  • oooohhh the bird is so cute!!!!!

  • Well, actually, if you saved it from drowning, I guess...it's okay... I don't see why it would be though if its parents were near. Good job for saving it, I suppose.

  • What the fuck. Can't you guys tell that baby bird is scared? Why else would it be running away? And what the hell did you put it in? That doesn't seem like "innocent" curiosity to me. That just seems cruel, if the baby wasn't scared enough before, it sure is now.

I've seen these chicks at school. If you found it out in the grass alone, it's parents probably weren't far off.

But still, as long as it's safe, I suppose its alright. As long as it isn't hurt, no harm done I guess.

  • Its a killdeer baby! SO CUTE!

  • you kids are so stupid..... when u see cute little bird you just have to touch it right? my classmate did that same mistake once and when she left that bird under that tree where it mom was, that mom broke lil birds neck...

  • It's a Killdeer :)

  • Im not sure what id have done with it after saveing it, I think maybe put it under a bush and watched it in a distance to make sure a cat didnt get to him

  • oh he's so cute! do you know what kind of bird it was? and PEOPLE i am an AVID animal abuse stopper check out my channel this is not animal abuse if u can read you will see that they saved it from drowning and i bet they let it go later on! lord u guys don't know what animal abuse is

  • @howltothemoon101 Thank U So Much Finally Ppk Are Getting It.

  • @sexysweetsarah no problem!

  • es un chorlito y viven en sitios humedos o donde hay agua preso te lo encontrarías en el agua

  • I don't think this us abuse at all. It's an innococent shannanagan every kid does. Me and my friend catch stuff like this all the time. We found a bird egg, incubated it, and gave it to the mom. She didnt accept it so we took it in, and trained it. It flew and stuff but we strapped a dollar to it's foot XD but I took it off because it was my friends idea. We saved it XD the egg was in a bad spot and we moved the nest. It was a sparrow or something. Ahhh memories...

  • @Opalca EXACTLY! Thank U!

  • leave it alooouuuunnnneee!!!

  • its sooo cute..

  • let her go...

  • It's just like chasing seagulls when I was that small boy's age, I tried to catch them, but they would always fly too high in the air.

  • Don't pay any attention to some of these idiots. Birds are far stronger than people think. A human scent on a baby bird does not cause the parents to disown it. When every baby bird gets to a certain age, they fledge. That means they get booted out of the nest about a week before their wing feathers grow in enough to allow flight. Their parents will guide them in looking for food and evading predators. By the time their wings are fully feathered, they know what they need to.

  • soo cute

  • dumbass kid was gonna put him in a bottle

  • LOL, "sexysweetsarah" don't feed the trolls. It's the internet people are going to say stupid things because they can. I'm glad you returned the duck =). Also if you ever want to be taken seriously type like a normal person.

  • U People Need To GET A LIFE If U Realy Think This Is Torture Or Animal Abuse. Y Dont U Waste Ur Time On Something That Would Actualy Help Abused Animals If U Care So Much. Posting STUPID Comments On An Innocent Video Is Not Gona Help Anything.

  • FUCK YOU ANIMAL TORTURERS

  • @dufydf do you even realize you are speaking about a little boy? so when you were little you never caught frogs, or baby killdeer, or salamanders?? if you didnt you sure did live a very depraved childhood. besides, they claim to have saved it from a watery grave, so i would say that little boy is more a hero than a animal abuser. if you want to see real animal abuse, watch animal cops for reference, then you will be educated and you wont be needlessly swearing at little boys. shame on you!!!

  • "They were drowinding."

  • Thought if you touched a bird the smell of your scent lingers on the bird, and the bird's mother rejects it,or kills it.

I think thats the same for Bats, and Wolves.

Before you start ranting, really research your information,I'd hate to be given false info from an ass.

  • Looks like a Killdeer

  • @AidenIsLove

Ya its true... think before you talk

  • U think u saved it from drowning a fast death, but you just put your scent on it and now it will starve to death because the mother won't feed it anymore. I hope u r happy.

  • @FARSairsoft lol

  • Ur not suppose to touch it with ur bare hands it puts ur scent on the baby and its mother will never return to it or it will be killed by the mother

  • @spat2020

Not true. With he exceptions of vultures, birds have poor sense of smell. Scientist band countless baby birds yearly, handle them to check thier health. Don't think they would be allowed to do that if it places them in harms way.

  • @spat2020 That's actually been proven a myth, and I (as a profession, mind you) handle injured or lost birds on a daily basis. Not only is a bird unable to smell human scent on her baby, she will usually continue raising it as if nothing happened.

  • That's a baby sandpiper.

  • @MLAProductions Yes, it's a Killdeer.

  • @Mesoefly okay, 1) it's killdeer, not a duck. It doesn't even look like a duck. 2) that's a stupid myth. It's perfectly safe to touch a baby bird. The parents won't kick it out of the nest and leave it to die, that's just a stupid "fact" just like the "fact" that those little rodent things (forget the name at the moment) run in groups away from their home when it gets to crouded and drown themselves. It's just a stupid animal myth.

  • @warriorspath123 Lemmings?

  • Comment removed

  • Its small things like this that make humans look disgusting.

  • Stupid kids are stressing it for absolutely no reason other than their own personal fun. Get them their own pet bird and tell them to stop messing with wildlife!

  • aww it looks like a duck :)

  • Ahhh! A lot of those live where I live =) They are killdeer. The mom makes this nest out of small rocks and pebbles and the eggs practically BLEND IN with the surroundings. Usually the mom will lay like 4. x3 I LOVE THEM! And I touch them all the time so that bullshit about the mom whatevering the baby after you touch it... liez

  • do they fly?

  • grrrr ....how noughty :-( the bird has fear!

  • STOP GRABBING THE FUCKING BIRD!!!!!

  • @robloxinsanity yeah let it be. its not a toy

  • "Look how big his feet it"

"They were drownding, they were drownding"

I don't care if he's young, he should know the difference.

  • arent they called kill deer?? the mommy bird will attack if ur not careful

  • never hold a baby bird, your scent will be on it and the mother will leave it behind, that thing should be dead now.

  • Why did you allow that kid to handle that bird like that? you do realize the bird could have died from shock?

  • that poor killdeer :l

  • Hmm baby killdear I'm kind of surprised that the mother or father wasn't around pretending to be hurt. Had a couple that made a nest right smack middle of the drive way. They were always trying to get us to veer off from there nest. And were darn persistent at keeping your attention.

  • Looks like a helpless baby plover. I hope you took it to a rehabber, because clearly you don't know what the hell you're doing.

  • Return this bird to nature at once!

    sincerely,

    God

  • @TheTheTheElsa Get A Life

  • Those things chill at the park I run at.

  • I think it would have been better off in the fucking water.

  • lol that boy was funny like my friend

  • mommys not far away trien to get you to pick her up.. so u leave her baby alone..

  • lil baby killdeer the cutest lil baby birds ever

  • You and your brother are soo funny.xD He was like "Icecream" xD Mostly ppl don't like this video because they probably think that your bro "harmed" it.God is happy you saved the bird's life.I really enjoyed this video. :)

  • this 'sweet bird' is just scared, you should start using your brains!

  • Is that a mockingbird?

  • You shouldn't handle baby birds. The mother will smell you on the baby and reject it.

  • YAY, I caught one a few months ago and let it go back to its mommy. I hope it's okay... this one, too. The place you're in kinda looks like where I found it, too, but I doubt it's the same place.

  • When I lived in apartments, there were lots of baby birds that these kids would force out of their nests and try to keep them. Whenever I would return one to the mother, it would take it back. So I'm completely sure that the, "Touch the bird and the Mom won't take it back" myth isn't true.

  • @TheGAMEBOY1994

Alright...So 2 ducklings fell in a gutter in my neighborhood yesterday...since they were scared of the net that I was using to save their lives and return them to their mother I should've just let them die since they did not want to be touched by it. Great logic eh?

  • Awwwwwwww, it's a baby killdeer!! I LOVE killdeers!!

Poor thing. Glad you saved it from drowning, but I hope you guy were able to return it home.

  • @XShadOBabeX Yes We Did He Is Safe Now :)

  • @sexysweetsarah

Oh yeah right, that fucking kid could have killed that bird just by grabbing it like that, never mind the shock.

What the fuck is wrong with you?

  • How Dare U Talk About A Kid Like That? U Need To Grow Up.

  • Ha saved it

  • Wow he saved a baby bird how is he a fag!

  • everytime I find 3 stars-or-less rated animal video I know I'm in for a treat in the comments section. This is where the 'durr' lets its presence be known..

  • @nehawe??? Wht do u mean "Americans". He was just a curious kid. :/

  • Poor bird. Lol cute

  • the mom won't take care of the baby kuz you touched it dumbass.

  • @xxxMysteryskatexxx

You're the dumbass if you seriously believe that's true.

  • @FreakingLoveEnvy its true? i learned the hard way.

  • D:

    The only reason it was running was because it was running for its life!! ; x;

    Poor baby bird.. DX

  • why did you dont leve it go!!!! poor baby bird

  • @Wasserdrache3382 did u read descrip?!?! he SAVED it from DROWNING apperantly u want it to drown!!!! he was right not to leave it alone or else it would die!!! ppl should rrly read discript!!

  • @JAMMZKATZ1O1 i wold put it out and let it run away! and how can somebody be soo n idiot and catch it all the time and wants to but in in a bottle!

  • sigh...you tried to put it back with it's mother? I don't want to pop your bubble like every one else, but you got you scent on the bird. The mother will abandon the baby bird, thinking it isn't hers, because of it's scent. By doing that, your also making him/her stressed. Let nature do it's thing and let the poor bird drown. It's the circle of life. The mother can always have another baby.

  • @serenity489 the mother doesn't always abandon the baby, so how would you kno if this this one bird will? I've put baby birds back into their nest or have caught birds that were pushed out by jerks who wanted to see them fly even though they couldn't yet; i've checked back on them a few times after wards to make sure the mom hadn't abandoned them and they hadn't except for oNE mom.

my friends and neighbors as well have helped baby birds and the mom 4/5 times would stay with the baby :/

  • "Here you go, you can go in there" "NO!Don't put it in the bottle!!!" That was actually kind of funny.

  • DON'T PUT IT IN THE BOTTLE!!!

  • now that youve touche it mama bird'll push i outa the nest!!

    TT_TT

  • yeah he saved the kid from drowning but now the boy is trying to trap him in a bottle? ok ummmmm ?

  • seriously just dont touch it it will find its way back home

  • Killdeers know how to deal with water.

Hicks don't know how to deal with plovers.

  • Hey, I remember these birds!!!

  • this is an example of what you should NEVER do to a wild animal

  • awww so cute

  • These are called Killdeers or Kildees they live on the plains around rivers marshe or swamps, they nest on the ground or in tall grasses and no offense I'm kinda suprised the mom or dad didn't swoop down and attack they are very very protective of their young.

  • @Mcarsonisdumb

That's a damn myth made up to keep kids from touching birds. I own 5 exotics and have dealt with baby birds it's COMPLETELY untrue the bird didn't die the bird was returned to it's mom after it started drowning they just took video of it before returning it to it's mom to keep the memory. Nothing wrong with that.

  • @SessaFrost The point of these myths is so that troublesome kids do not go messing around with baby birds like this one, which are born and raised on the ground. It's fine if you ask a parent about it and they are informed well about care of baby birds, but it's still wrong if they are messing around and stressing it out like that. Better to take care of it with as little human contact and to release it when possible.

  • PLZ Get A Life Ppl I AM Not A Kid U Guys Need 2 Grow Up Its NOT Like WE Tied Him Up And Tortured Him, It Was Just An Innocent Video.

  • @sexysweetsarah Your way of writing and nick says the opposite. You might as well have said HURR DURR and given a better impression.

  • @sexysweetsarah You tried to put him in a BOTTLE, what exactly were you expecting it to think?

  • it's a species of plover, not a duck; if it was a duck it wouldn't have been drowning in the first place. and if it was drowning, your brother did good by saving it. he should have put it back first thing though.

mothers kicking young out of the nest after interacting with humans is an urban myth. i've rescued many fledglings and the parents have taken them back no problem.

sorry for the preach, and it is really cute!

  • Aha, and of course birds almost have not good smell.

This look like one of those birds, it isn't carnivore definitely. So parents wait, and look what's happening.

Just like swallows, when i clean the window near them nest- everything smells like mint or citron. :)

  • I HOPE THAT YOU REALLY LEAVED IT ALONE!!!!!!!

    Why?

Because it's just normal- it still can't fly, but it' s under 100% parent control.

They take care about it, and feed it.

It only need to learn fly in few time.

And to NOT BE SCARED TO DEATH by some people disturbing it.

  • Did your parents use this opportunity to teach you aboiut respect for life or did they just let you torment a baby. That little bird is the equivalent of a toddler. would you chase a scared lost toddler around.

It was just a baby, its not a toy.

  • He is a fucking kid and your an idiot if anything talk mess about the adults you can hear in the back ground. They should know better. Besides it's a very educational exp for the child and he was only being slightly rough with it. FYI I saved a chick a few years ago and when it could fly we released it. I saw it every spring since till I moved. It's name was Chip.

  • You just dont understand something and your walnut size brain improvises by hurling insults.

Go talk about you life story to some other video.

  • "only being slightly rough"? "educational example"? wow, then that means i can grab a baby and and if is not visually injured then is all good huh? and well, as long as i get some lesson out of it, is all good too huh?

and good for you, that you saved a little bird. if that was a similar case, then it probably came back to you cause the mother didn't accept it back after having human sent. poor thing. poor thing.

  • You guys should have just left it alone, 'cause it knows where it needs to go & you aren't letting it do that.

  • Your brother was right when he said "it's dead...".

Technically at the time it wasn't, but when the mother bird smells that human hands have been on its baby, it'll throw the baby bird out of the nest to die.

  • Your*

  • That is a baby killdeer chick.

  • Those birds live in wetlands or swamp like areas, mostly triving where water is. So, you should probably put it back if it's not dead.

  • @Kitemakoto Actually they dont live in swamps. These guys actually live in areas like golf courses, open grasslands, even regular lawns. The females nest in areas far from standing water areas, often on gravel as well. They are one of the least water-associated of all shorebirds

Yes, they should have put it back though.

  • Everyone Shut Up The Bird Was Ok If It Wasnt 4 My Bro It WOULD B DEAD! & He Put It Back With Its Mom Rite After This Vid So STFU W All Ur Whining. K Thanx.

  • @sexysweetsarah actually it's not ok. I'm a bird owner, and I know. When you play with the baby bird using your hands it will not only be super terrified and shocked.

It will have the scent of your hands and when its mother scents it the baby bird will be kicked out of the nest to die.

I know you are angry at all the evil comments about not touching the bird with your hands, but IT IS TRUE. Pls ask your bro not to do that again. Its parents would come for it once they heard it screaming.

  • @sexysweetsarah ok i'm gonna save you lil brother then I'll take him home and demand he hang out with me and play vid games with me for like two hours before I actually care to take him home to you and your parents....lol btw I'm BLACK....OH HE'd piss his pants..lol...just like the lil bird possibly did 30 times before this kid returned him home to his birdie mom ROFL

  • @TubeGuest5178 Bad example, the bird was slow and couldnt have out-maneuvered him. Her brother could just have thrown some melon in front of you and legged it.

  • @sagephil lol omg!

  • @TubeGuest5178

    rofl. nigga got pwnt.

  • @sexysweetsarah It's very nice of you guys to help the little guy. The only issue I see is that once a baby bird is touched by humans, the mother tends to abandon it or attack it because of the way it smells. Have you been keeping progress on this little guy? He's a cutie.

  • @sexysweetsarah Um no it wouldn't be... that's a Kildeer... they're shorebirds... they can swim

  • @sexysweetsarah was the mother messing with it, the baby? I found one, and my horse almost ran over one, and my mother accidendly destored their nest.

  • thats a sparrow right?

  • cute bird but ur bro will kill it soon lol
