There will always be many theories as to why Clemson has a significantly better record against South Carolina. This is my opinion. Clemson is a better school overall; therefore, we are able to recruit better players, train them more effectively on and off the field, and support them more whole-heartedly on the field because everyone knows Clemson's students have SPIRIT. Cheating may have played a very minor role in the series, but let's face it, 2 or 3 games out of a 65-37 record is not much.

I'm no Gamecock of Clemson fan (Go Auburn!) but even I can see why the fake Tigers dominate this rivalry. I don't know about cheating on Clemson's part, but South Carolina goes up against some of the best teams in the country all season before taking on the best of the ACC (which is, let's face it, a joke). If Clemson had to face the best the nation has to offer, they might be a little tuckered out too at the end. The intensity isn't there for USC, because Clem is in a weaker conference.

Your theory doesn't make sense. For example, Florida is in the SEC and they play the same tough opponents each year as South Carolina. So explain how at the end of Florida's 2006 and 2008 seasons, after playing all 'the best teams in the country', they still manage to play AND beat the 2nd best team in the nation for a BCS title. Shouldn't they be 'tuckered out'??? I'm not into making excuses. Give credit where credit is due.

What a day that was. You know, I bet everyone in that stadium was saying a prayer the minute the field goal unit came out. Didn't really get to enjoy the win because someone screamed at us to shut up and go home, and my brother in law (huge Tiger fan) was in such a foul mood we were all afraid to say anything to him! He packed up our tailgating gear and started the car, so we had to get in or walk home. Other than that, it was a great day!

I was getting married that day. Photos had to be postponed until after that kick. I was more nervous about the game than getting married. Best wedding present I could have asked for.
