  • There's an Italian kid in my class and im going to use this now

  • I will always love this one, it's simply brilliant.

Their accents are so odd too, for an Italian like me they're just fantastic.

By the way, any fellow German that knows what good ol' Graham is saying?

Provided that it actually makes sense, of course. xD

  • @Zeghart of cours... he is saying: "what is the word for *somethink hard to understand*" and than ... "aaah the Germans Classroom"

  • @gruenerKoenig

Thanks a lot, now my view of this scene is finally complete. xD

  • @gruenerKoenig Actually, he appears to be saying "what is the word for Mittelschmerz", a german term which seems to be used in english medicine as well. I am german and never heard it before...

  • @noleti you are right ... but i never heard of "Mittelschmerz" before ... I don't even know what it meens in german ^^

  • @gruenerKoenig

Mittelschmerz should be translated as "middle pain" :)

  • that fake reminds me of my old spanish teacher lol!

  • 2:14 LOOOOOOOOL

  • Milano bene é meglio de napoli

  • Half of my german GCSE class is either half german, lived in germany for eight years, or completely fluent anyway, and we are doing countries and what I did on my holiday :') xx

  • weren't they in a mafia sketch in flying circus?

  • WAS IST DAS WORT FÜR MITTELSCHMÖTZ ?! - I almost fell off the chair when I first heard this :D

  • @ajtsok93

    does it mean something? ;)

  • Ahh das Deutschen Klassenzimmer xDDDD Lmao

  • Hahahahaha Il Cucchieio! Sono i miglioriii!

  • Dude, they're good at sounding Italian when speaking Italian.

  • Mama mia itsa me Mario

  • Poor cat.

  • When you think about the Renaissance cities of the 14th century, and combine that thought with the conflict here between Milan and Naples, the sketch becomes even more hilarious!

  • HAHAHAHHAHAHAH

    Spoon is cucchiaio, pronounced kuk-kia-io

  • I think this sketch becomes even funnier for an italian! They're cute. :)

Tenk you.

  • @Snustad ma come scrivi????

  • @Snustad ferst lession: ai em - io sono, iu ar - tu sei, i is - lui è, sci is - lei è, ui ar - noi siamo, dei ar essi sono

i op det iu anderstend, ai em mader linguag inglisc tu...

  • @Snustad é d'evidenza che ne necessiti poichè avrebbe dovuto scrivere "Talune" lezioni....XD

  • Also, that guy at 1:37 asks "What is the word for menstrual pains?"

  • @oNLYr4Z0r in German?

  • "Milano é molto meglio di Napoli!" "che cosa?!!" hahaha :)

  • Geniale!!! Geniale!!!!

  • This is brilliant, the humor is just too funny :)

  • Uh scusi. Boppedabeepee? Boopedebaapaah!

  • I think michael palin has actually studied italian...

  • hahaha c'è pure il sardo hahaha bellissimo

  • @koibab Ma dove??

  • like if you saw this first in Hetalia form! :D

  • Milano and Napoli are trash!!!!

    !!!

    !!

    !

  • "NA-POLI..." lol XD

  • must be THE heat

  • @lydslandska Decisamente xD

  • @lydslandska Italiana, e sto ridendo... :)))

ps. prima ho inviato qst risposta a me stessa haha che fusa must be heat dev'essere il caldo...

  • @lydslandska di brutto! ahahaha!!! cucchieio!

  • I recommend you watch a Japanese comedian, Ken Shimura, doing a similar sketch, but in Japanese. And the other way around.

Type in "Ken Shimura - English Lesson".

  • Random German is Random.

  • Awww...Wish I knew Italians....I'm French and it's kinda boring when French argue.

  • @Jujegocrazy Dude... I'm Italian and I'm bored of arguing with italians...

  • @Jujegocrazy French and Italians are very similar, we call the Frenchmen hiscousins of over - alpi and she is known not his relatives they always get along

  • i'm italian and thats exactly what my family is like

  • Graham Chapman was great. He was my favourite

  • Eric Idle can only sound like Eric Idle

  • Funny thing is most English speaking people cannot fathom it well!

  • "Mittermeier! Mittermeier! Was ist das Wort für Mittelschmötz?" :'DDDD I was laughing so hard ... I'm from Germany myself and "Mittelschmötz" doesn't make ANY sense in German... well "Mittel" means obviously "middle" but the rest of the word is complete nonsense :'DDD

  • @Passy666 I thought he was saying (a badly pronounced version of) Mittelschmerz.... though that's a strange thing for a man to be asking.

  • I'm Italian and I pissed myself laughing.

  • My Mandarin class is like that. They have so many people that speak Mandarin like crazy already that they made a special "Native Speakers" class for them XD

  • I live in GERRARDS CROSS!!

  • I'm Norwegian, I was born in Oslo, and I need lessons in Norwegian.

  • i'm half italian and half british, and LOVE monty python! british humor is simply superior to all the crappy comedy movies we have in italy (where the main jokes are about farts, big tits etc etc). i always like a bit of fun-making of my country, because often we actually DO act and look like this, so, fellow italians, meno coda di paglia :)

  • @MissMuffinson What about the golden age of italian comedy, compatriota? I'm talking about Monicelli, Risi, De Sica senior, Tognazzi, Mastroianni, Gassman, Sordi... And, why not, Totò?

Obviously it's a different type of humour -I love british humour with all my heart, so surrealistic-, but not the one to be underestimated.

    Tante care cose.

  • @MissMuffinson ever heard of Neorealismo? Dear MissMuffinson, meno ignoranza! :)

  • "Well he shouldn't be saying that, we haven't done comparitives yet."

That may be the closest to an actual punchline they're ever gotten!

  • @TheWarnerSister Don't worry about punchlines, Monty Python won't give you any...

    Except here:

    /watch?v=EdzqTGmEcZE

  • @rrlloo1 True... that punchline is practically ADVERTISED. XD

  • LOL. I'm italian and i must say that John Cleese's italian is near perfect. The others' not so much, but MP are great anyway, the sketch's funny as hell.

BTW, this view of italians is pretty stereotyped and more close to the behaviour and language of the lower class from Naples and Sicily that left Italy to seek fortune in the US in the early XX century then actual italians, who aren't that noisy and don't overgesture in reality.

  • @Shendue I'm italian too, but i have to say that i prefer Eric Idle's italian. Ok, not so perfect in spelling and pronuciation, but i love the sound of his voice, much more italian ("Squillante", we could say..).

    The sound is very italian.

  • I'd say Silvio Pasta Berlusconi is the unbeatable Italian humorist and probably replace the Kraut Pope whose name is.. if I'm not totally wrong 'twas Pope Penis-Christ Helluva XVI.. or something like that, bless 'em.

  • The only one with an acceptable accent is Cleese. But the whole sketch is so funny.

  • when he pulled out the guitar, that's when you just rofl

  • Why did Terry Jones say 'Sit Down, Mario', and then hesitate when calling John Cleese's character?

  • Ahah, 'sto sketch spacca di brutto, geniacci!

  • Monty Python makes me wish I wasn't American. I want to be British. It's every dorky 12 year old's right to be British if she wants to.

  • @cellogirlMJfan move to britain, develop british accent, TA-DA YOUR BRITISH!

  • Brilliant! This sketch is overdid of caurse but it's reaaaaaally funny!!! Bravo! ^___^

  • haha I'm from germany and it's funny!!!

    He speaks very nice!

  • molto brillianti this sketch

  • @falcaonet molto brillanti :)

  • 2:25 Random guitar solo! lolz

  • 1 pig was killed in the making of this sketch

  • HAHa THis IS GRRREATTTTTTTT !!!! I love the Monthy Pythons!

  • ma quale mandolino? quella è una cazzo di chitarra classica (what mandolino? that's a funking classic guitar)

  • @ozoshah eheheheh vero :)

  • Well, he shouldn't be saying that. We haven't learnt comparatives yet....

  • The only things Italians do are fighting or playing music lol very nice.

  • @knoxville255 yes, you're right, that's also what Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo kept doing all the time.....just fighting and eating spaghetti.

  • @MsIthinkthereforeIam no... fettuccine lol

  • @knoxville255 no, that's Caravaggio, another Italian idiot. You're getting really mixed up (culinary speaking of course).

  • @knoxville255 errata corrige: Culinarily Speaking

  • the guy just starts playing the mandolino hahahahahahahha so italian

  • @pascalown I'm italian and I sleep with my mandolino, wouldn't go anywhere without it (SO italian)

  • @MsIthinkthereforeIam Italiana, e sto ridendo... :)))

  • LOL being born in Italy makes this even more funny :D

  • last 30 seconds say much about italy lol

  • Their italian accent is SO funny!

  • @asdqqweq I'm italian and well... yes, I can assure you it is! Nice sketch anyway, but their italian is sooooo bad ;-)

  • @asdqqweq and SO bad!

  • LOL, my Spanish 1 class is full of Mexicans who are fluent Spanish-speakers.

LOL , THIS IS SO TRUE. :D

  • @193614 they do that because it's easier for them to take it. I live in south Texas and most kids down here know spanish (maybe not how to write it, that might be a reason to take it) and they still fill most of the spanish classes before anyone even joins the french class.

  • @193614 ...Why do they even take it then????? XD

  • @193614 i know what u mean my english class is full of people who speak english. HOW WEIRD IS THAT?!

  • @jnjbaggott1 haha, good one, but funny how that doesn't always garauntee an easy A

  • @193614 I agree, I never took spanish class, bcuz i could take other languages, but I heard that there were a bunch of spanish students taking spanish class bcuz they wanted the easy A XDDD

  • @193614 lol, do you live in LA by any chance?

  • @193614 really, thats funny in my english class we have many gringos... and its kind of strange

  • @potrodsas insulted Italian much? hey you're teeth are just as bad, your cars just as small. and at least british don't cover up their furniture with plastic!

  • hahahaah nice;) ciao from Bologna

  • This skit is just great...

I'm italian and I LOVE it when people from other countries speak my language! In particular the English,I have to say :)

Like at 1:24 "Ehm, per favore, signore, ehm non conespelemente devomiplo sono italiano di Napoli quando il abitale di Milano"

    LOLWUT? XD

  • great sketch! i like the random german chapman! eric speaks like a pure italian guy!

  • He say Milan is better than Napole

Well he shouldn't be saying that. We haven't done comparatives yet

  • He shouldn't be saying that! We haven't even done comparatives yet.

  • he says Giuseppe like "GHEE-oo-seh-pay" xD

  • The English can not speak perfectly Italian, (sorry) seem gay or African. "Silly example" seems to have a lemon in his mouth. then the Italian has many accents by region. the most famous in American films are the "Sicilian" and "Neapolitan" who are very particular. then change much "how to" from north to south

  • Why is the german dressed in a 19th century bavaria costume?.

  • @snowdog03 u don't watch much Monty Python do you?

  • @snowdog03

I live in Bavaria. Apparently it's still 19th century here...

  • @chuckl3s its either that or a hitler lookalike. you choose.

  • @snowdog03 it's a common misconception. To many, the steroetypical German is a blonde, tall guy with a 5-liter glass of beer in his hand.

AND a 19th century bavaria costume.

  • ... it;s really like this on the streets of italy sometimes...

  • @NaliniMarcasite when did you last go to Italy? in the 50's?

  • bwahahahha XDDD i'm italian too X°°°DDD

    that's really funny X°°°DDD

  • Mitarbeiter!!!

    aaaaaaHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • ahaha...faboulous!!! I'm Italian too, but I don't live in Milan...ihih I live in Genoa!! :) :)

I think that Mothy Python are the best comic actors in the world, they're so funny!!!! :D :D

  • @MsIthinkthereforeIam Cazzo si muore...

  • Hilarious - Monty Python is timeless :)

  • So hilarious that Python's Germans are always dressed like bavarian or austrian peasants...

  • @silverbud Well, except for the Nazis...

  • il cucchiao? wow surprising lol in spanish spoon is cuchara

  • not really, Spanish, Italian and French are all really similar languages with a lot of similar words.

  • yes i know lol i speak spanish fluently and took some french. Cuchara is spoon in Spoon

  • @MarshmellowVodkaness

  • That's not true. I'm Italian and i really hate french and spanish people and their alien language. I prefer Na'Vi, it's easier.

  • @dastan666 hate screw u Castilian is the best language ever.

  • @dastan666 I'm afraid similarities between two languages are not a matter of taste. Italian, Spanish and French (and to a lesser extent Romanian) have many similar words and grammar principles.

The interesting fact is that English, which sounds nothing like any neo-Latin language, has about 1/3 of vocabulary of Latin origin... and uses more Latin expressions and abbreviations than all neo-Latin languages put together. :)

  • @krrypton there is a good reason for all of that.

  • "oh well we haven't done comparatives yet; he shouldn't be saying that"

  • For you it is funny because the Italians follow italian lessons.

For me (I'm Italian) it's funny because of the improbable pronunciatios of them, applied to the italian regional rivalries.

It is great how we can equally laugh of the same sketch for different reasons. :)

  • Me. And apparently you too, otherwise you wouldn't be able to ask that question.

  • I'm italian but in this sketch I understand better english than "italian"...ahahah especially what the guy from 1:15 is saying...

  • i'm italian and i don't understand what the "italians" sad..

  • they are saying...anything that seems to sound like "italian" :D

  • OMG also english people knows aversion between Milan and Naples!! XD

  • @laether Well, do you suppose Italians don't know about the "aversion" between, say, Manchester (United :D) and Liverpool?

  • @krrypton I know about It... but I don't know other Italians know It too!!

  • oddio è spettacolare xD

  • Afammocc Napoli acummann nguoll a tutt quant

  • What's Graham Chapman saying in German?

  • Das Deutschenklassenzimmer = the German classroom.

  • "Il cucchiaio!"

  • das deutschen kazenzimmer!

  • klassenzimmer = classroom :P

    I love this sketch
