It's D, F#, B, G power chords, then it switches over to E (on the 7th fret), A, F#, to G. That's clearly D major but that's a motherf****n sweet ass riff!!!
@Chandlorexia I actually just made a song on my guitar; specifically a heavy riff that sounds similar to Alice In Chains and wrote some lyrics that sound like Alice In Chains, its awesome
Why is the person who owns this channel so touchy about what his back tracks are based off of? Settle down. This is obviously Lithium, who cares, anyone who wants to jam to Grunge probably doesn't mind some Nirvana.
yea, If you dont like this....DONT COMMENT ASSHOLES! You can Creamer my backing tracks anytime! that sounded kinda gay....butt the point is...assholes and comments dont mix????
I fucking love jamming to this! Puts me in a really good mood! I tried playing in a B Minor track and it wasn't as fun and cheerful as this (I know, Bm and DMaj are identical keys)
No. Go listen to Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Puddle of Mudd, (Nickleback) and im sure you will find something suitable. Oh and did I mention Foo Fighters?
Man...just shut up. It's obviously the same chord progression...there are 1 million more songs with the exact same progression...if you don't like this track...don't comment,.
@CreamerMusic Exactly. If people want backing tracks in a set diatonic key (which makes soloing in a given scale easier) then they have to expect something they will have most likely heard before! Great track.
This sounds something Nirvana-ish, but remember, Grunge isn't a genre, grunge is something they used to label a bunch of bands from Seattle, Nirv and Alice don't sound anything alike, yet they're both classified under grunge.
@kurt5000yh grunge can be happy or sad. Just because alot of Nirvana's work is moody does not dictate that all grunge music is only grunge because it has an unhappy mood. Grunge only refers to stylistic things. I personally think it just needs the sound a little dirtier when the distorted guitars kick in, with some feedback.
i believe it is D, Bm, D Bm then Em, A, F#m G. feel free to slide up to A again to give it some power at the end. haha correct me if im wrong but thats how ive been playing it, ill post a video in a little bit
Actually, I think you're correct, but incomplete. In the progression you posted, for it to sound correct you need to play D for two bars and Bm for two, then repeat. In my progression you play every chord for one bar. Hope that makes sense somehow.
Anyway, sliding up to A sounds a lot better then leaving it at G.
yeah my bad i was all tryin to think about what chords they were and not how many counts u hold it. haha but yeah thats right. awesome jam track tho im in love with this one.
play for at least an hour a day, go and look for video's showing you techniques, get some of your favourite songs that you don't think would be too difficult and just try and hear where everything goes until you get them solid, and most importantly learn scales. i'd go for E pentatonic and E major scale. google to find out what i'm talking about, but most of all its just practice. AND exercising your fingers all the time by just wiggling them about.
lembra nirvana mesmo

these clips are great for hobbyist nerds like me to practice on but it would help immensely to display the chord progression.
i can get started on this from D to G i think but other cool tracks arent so easy.
adding a chord graphic along with the audio would make these backing track vids the greatest thing since sliced bread.
