yes grains are mostly an invention as is pasteurization..........no grains or dairy for me. If you are skinny then some grains might not be bad, ie. oatmeal, etc. Bread NO. Beans and nuts, fruit and veggies are the best. and don't take roids like he has. Work hard, stick to a power lifting routine. Example: monday: chest=bench presses, dumb bell press; Wednesday: back=deadlifts; fridady: legs=squat. Forget isolation exercises and working out 5 days a week if your trying to get big. Lift 3 days a week, under 1 hr session, sleep 8 hrs and eat your body weight in protein. You don't need 200, excess urinates out. Your body doesn't need protein to support your fat and water weight. Stick to 140g protein/day.
well, i dont know whether or not to consider this as 5 meals per day, my first meal would be breakfast, oatmeal with 2 egg whites mixed together, about 14g of protein, for lunch i have potatoes, good source of carbohydrate, at 2pm ill go to the gym, when i get back ill have a postworkout protein shake with fat and sugar, (3rd??) and my dinner is chicken, low in fat and high in protein, about 23g of protein and 0.5g fat. and half an hour before sleep ill have a protein shake with water. 5 meals??

just checking if im on the right track,
- I eat 3 main meals a day,
- i have protein shake as part of my breakfast and after every workout/training session.
- hit the gym 3 times a week dividing my routine into 3 main areas (shoulder/back, chest/arms and legs/core),
- go to rugby training 2 times a week (mainly involving sprinting exercises and tackling drills)
- plus a rugby game every weekend
... Am I providing enough 'fuel' for my body to grow?

yes grains are mostly an invention as is pasteurization..........no grains or dairy for me. If you are skinny then some grains might not be bad, ie. oatmeal, etc. Bread NO. Beans and nuts, fruit and veggies are the best. Hi mr connor i like your advice its always motivating having a good diet is always a challenge for me cause i am always on the go on my job so i have to take whey with me or get a high protein lunch i am 290lbs so i try to get 290grams of protein on my work out days or at least 4 protein shakes at about 75grams per shake i use some isolate protein such as isopure but mostly prolab whey or cytosport so i try to keep anabolic all the time...

i never took that approach.......thats more of a bodybuilder approach.....I gained lean muscle slowly and stayed lean as possible as I gained. It's not good for you to gain a lot then lose a lot over and over.......and you look good as you gain..its the way I did it....your choice

To get big you have to gain weight....I prefer to gain lean muscle and not gain a lot of fat WITH the lean muscle so I never have to CUT down. Guys who bulk up are eating all sorts of shitty stuff

and carbs to get bigger and thicker. and ya oatmeal with a protein shake in the morning is good breakfast, but its good 2 eat eggs caus it will get you bigger. i eat about 350-370 carbs a day even though i shud be eating about 310 (x 2.5).. people eat about 2.5 carbs per lb u are. and 1.2-1.5 g protein per lb, if ur a teen like me eat like a fatass..good foods tho, increse the carbs and protein.

Hi my friend.......remember you need about 200 grams a day divided by the # of meals you are eating a day.....ie. if you eat five meals you need 40 grams per meal.and right...lots of water

Hey Rico, How's about this.
I eat my full course meal after I work that of course has lots of protein in it, then LATEr when I go to sleep I drink my protein shake. Is that fine? I do this because the protein shake makes me very grogy and tired so i won't be able to do my homework or anything after i drink it.
-I also heard ppl tend to get tired because of all of the carbs in the shake?

and don't take roids like he has. Work hard, stick to a power lifting routine. Example: monday: chest=bench presses, dumb bell press; Wednesday: back=deadlifts; fridady: legs=squat. Forget isolation exercises and working out 5 days a week if your trying to get big. Lift 3 days a week, under 1 hr session, sleep 8 hrs and eat your body weight in protein. You don't need 200, excess urinates out. Your body doesn't need protein to support your fat and water weight. Stick to 140g protein/day.

well, i dont know whether or not to consider this as 5 meals per day, my first meal would be breakfast, oatmeal with 2 egg whites mixed together, about 14g of protein, for lunch i have potatoes, good source of carbohydrate, at 2pm ill go to the gym, when i get back ill have a postworkout protein shake with fat and sugar, (3rd??) and my dinner is chicken, low in fat and high in protein, about 23g of protein and 0.5g fat. and half an hour before sleep ill have a protein shake with water. 5 meals??
