• ALAN........SIGH....So incredibly gorgeous!!!! And a beautiful voice too!!! What's not to like!!! Alan is my 1st and FOREvERLOvE!!! Brother DEREK isequally gorgeous!!! (my 2nd fav Roller!!) Such Beautiful brothers!!!!

  • OH Alan!!!! still love him!!!

  • 0:54 love Alan and Les' synchronised kick! ^.^

  • Which idiot came up with the idea to use big balloons , it's so annoying.

  • @beamerZ Sorry, they seemed like a good idea at the time. I was fired shortly afterwards.

  • @beamerZ Mike Mansfield. He was good at that sort of thing.

  • Love that they pretty much just threw a guitar on Les, to give him something to do on stage (: I will always love them, yet it's funny that even today ppl think that Woody, Eric, & Les had a clue when it came to playing those Guitars. Alan, & Derek are the ONLY ones playing for real. Keep in mind i am a Rollers Fan & always will be (:

  • Loved Alan

  • LOVE THIS SONG! WOW! NICE JOB ON THE VOCALS ALAN!!!

  • This is a classic. You can really see eric's playfulness in this video

love it love it love it

  • Love Allanès dimples when he sings

love this group one of all time favorires saw them, big BAY ROLLERS FAN

  • Whats the drummers name ??

  • @ilovebagpuss2008 Derek Longmuir , he's Alan's brother (who's doing lead vocals in this song)

  • @ilovebagpuss2008 - Derek

  • OMG! Cliff Richards????? Ah, back to the 70s....Wonder if I can find that movie that Alan starred in.....

  • @Jinchengfan if you find the movie send it to me please

  • how I love this song, good old times

  • I dunno why folks call them a boys band... maybe because of their mass appeal, but these guys not only know how to sing but also PLAY their instruments. There aren't too many boys bands today who can do that.

  • ALAN CAN SING YES! i dont think he had the character to be te leadman or cuteness no offence as they were teeny bopper band.. i think alan should have sung way more very under rated, thats a hard song to sing in that key

  • Eric is soooo beautiful!!

  • rollers on supersonic fantastic 70s memories

  • Uh, I think Les plays guitar to a minor extend. Looks like lots of "faking" when he's playing guitar, IMHO.

  • I think they all are I don't see any guitar cables plugged in to the guitars

  • Had to watch this again today! I'm smiling all the way! It's so nice to see our 5 Lads having so much fun!!! A shame we all here couldn't stand on the floor in front of the stage and dance our A.. off!! And sing-a-long with Alan! Would have kicked the ball back at Les though!LOL!

  • oh ...ooo...(Laugh) Eric slipped at the beginning!

Too enthousiastic Eric???Thank God for him he didn't fall on his A..! That would have been an entrance...(smile)..but it all went well.

  • A real great job from Alan here, this was with no doubt HIS song, as well as the performance!

Véry well done Alan! I got that too rollergirl444.

My very first was Leslie...then I saw Eric's eyes and I was a Great Eric-Fan....And ...now...guess I feel bad or guilty...Les the first I really fell completely for and he got me all over back again....and forgood this time!!!!!

  • Oh Alan!!!! I love him still!!!!

  • Im staying at Allan's house at the moment, but don't tell Eilleen, his still a BIG City Rollers, ( Joking !!! hehehhe ) Only kidding im married into the family....

  • Love this song. They all look so g8t. Alan and Leslie....my 2 faves. A girl can love 2 boys at once can't she????

  • Could this be the perfect BAY CITY ROLLERS video on YouTube!? The guys seem to really be enjoying themselves and, of course, the fans are loving it! So much positive energy and unbridled enthusiasm (not to mention a totally awesome pop song). One of my fave BAY CITY ROLLER songs and the video is monster!! Thanks so much for the great post! BAY CITY ROLLERS FOREVER!!!

  • i'm sorry, madame lil, i meant to reply to your comment about i'm confessin', but my finger slipped and i spammed you instead. i had alan's single. it was so good, as was the b side i've got songs. i wish someone had it on video!

  • Jenni, honey, we all make mistakes. I still haven't heard that song, but I should go look for it on here now ... stay tuned?

  • I had this played at my sister's wedding reception. SHe loved it. Brother-in-law wasn't so thrilled.

  • Look at all those butts!

  • i'm looking, i'm looking!!!

  • Wow, my fave song as it was Alan here on YouTUbe, awesome to see it again after all these years. I've had a thing for the bass ever since my crush on him. Still my fave BCR after all this time Alan. Yay BCRs!

  • Back when things were much more innocent

  • I agree! Those days were much simpler at least in my memories. Just love these old songs.

  • My happy, sexy baby looks smoking HOT with a guitar in his hands.

  • 2:26 - Nice kick, Eric!

  • Bob-shoo-wa-do-wa-da

  • He has a good set of lungs on him :)

  • Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Alan!!!!!!! He is still my dream!

  • They did fun songs! You could dance, sing, and snap along!

  • I did'NT KNOW alan could sing

  • Except for Les who was miming... Eric was lead, Woody - rythm and Alan - bass.

  • Ohhh Alan.

  • thank you soooooo much for sharing! oh...Alan was my all time favorite Roller, the green eyed handsome leftie. sigh. thank you again. aloooooha!

  • @eponine808 nice yea

  • @eponine808 Me too, I was in love with him for a long time and went so awful sad when he was kicked off the band. Heard this song over and over, looked at his pictures and cried :)

I would have gone crazy if I would have been so lucky to see that video in these days.

Its so sweet what you write about him, thank you! <3

  • That's funny where Eric almost slipped on his back, when the band were running on stage. Not been sipping Whisky,er,i mean Milk, had he?

  • Good to hear Alan sing!!!! Love the BCR forever!!!! esp YOU WOODY!!! :-)

  • I have been sitting here for the past hour just smiling, beaming watching all these great clips....love seein the boys looking so genuinely happy....hope it was true. THANKS to everyone who has posted these clips, you've bought alot of happy memories to alot of people! Rock on!

  • quase cai no começo hahahahah

  • Hee hee...no leads to amps...that camera in the background is travelling at lethal speeds! Oh the memories of this song when I was a teenager!

  • OMG! LOVE THEM! Thank you sooo much for posting this! BCR's Forever! ♥ xoxo

  • Wow! Wow! Wow! Shame their friendship didn't last! They performed so well together as a group! So natural! You really notice the difference when Alan left...

  • Alan! Alan! Alan!!!!!!! He is awesome!

  • I do enjoy hearing Alan singing!!:)

  • cliff richard is funny!

  • where in this clip did u see cliff richard???

    ...that´s really funny

  • The intro....! Looksee....!

  • Did Eric almost fall running in? I had a wee heart attack there!

  • hahah!! We'll be there to catch, right?! hahaha!!:)

  • Eric and the wedding march...LOL I'm hooked!!:)

  • A great video! I saw another side of Alan(he always seemed so shy and reserved in other videos). He was awesome as a lead singer! Thanks. He and his brother are hot but Eric's hotter. Love them all.

  • I love "Bop Showaddywaddy" sang by Les, Eric and Woody!

  • LOL... isn't it great! Never realized how young they actually were then! Some of them weren't even 20! What a fun time! I am in my 40's and I still love them! :D

  • I remember seeing the Bay City Rollers do this song on the ABC (USA) tv show "Kids are People Too" when Duncan Faure first joined the band, and on the Krofft Superstar Hour when Les McKeown was a member.

I was saddened to hear Alan had a heart attack in 1995 and a stroke 2 years later but he is recovering nicely. Get well, Alan.

  • Alan has a very good voice and I like to hear this song very much! Was my favourite in the 70s (and I did not know, that it was Alan who was the leadsinger in that song, until now! Shame on me! :o)) But I still love Woody after all these years...

  • like little hoppin tadpoles...lmao

  • Eric is such a cutie ! I like to have rock`n roll honey moon with him.

  • The Bay City Rollers were a Great Band and They will always be! Cute song with Alan singing lead... But I'll still take Woody anyday!

  • Doesn't this just look like too much fun? They had such a fun energy about them. They look so happy! Soo fantastic to see and hear Alan take the lead. I love Leslie's golden voice, but it sure is a treat to get to hear the other talented voices take the lead! I didn't get to see much of them on tv as I was growing up in the 70's. Americans didn't get near enough coverage of the BCR! Not like Europe or Japan did. You tube videos kinda help to fill in the gaps. Thanks so much for posting this!

  • The guys look so young and fresh here, and they are truly enjoying themselves out there. I hope with all my heart that the Rollers are downloading these YouTube videos of themselves and are seeing how much they were loved and how they have a generation of new fans. They were never really appreciated (except by us teens) back in the 70's.

  • Well said 1970sGirl, I too hope the guys know how much they are loved. Even after so many years, even by people who were either too young to remember, or were not even born yet.

  • Thanks for posting! And be sure to check out the posting under the YouTube search THE ROLLERS SHOW. It's the Nick Lowe song with clips of the Bay City Rollers. It rocks!! Rollers Forever!!! thanks.

  • I haven't even heard this song since the 70's! I had forgotten all about it.I don't think it was ever on any of the american records.Terrific time travel song-thanks.

  • A great song!!

  • can the man sing or what! never heard this one, now am loving it alot. have been a die hard bcr fan for 30+years. keep `em coming please. thank you! see ya later.

  • It is wonderful, isn't it? Too bad Alan didn't take more leads. I have loved them for 31-32 years myself. Take care, Trish

  • YEs he's a great sung. I'm curious why he didn't take the lead when Les left, or even later when Duncan left. In my opinion Duncan and Eric have terrible vocals (although lots of other talents).

  • I agree, No offense to either man of course. However, I believe I heard somewhere that Alan didn't have a great deal of interest in being a "frontman".

  • I love Alan. i named my son after him. Shh.. dont tell my son!!!!!!!!!

  • the guy at the start is funnny as lol

  • That's Cliff Richard!

  • omg lol

  • i would luv to go back to the 70s not as much pressure then we had more fun who remembers the panel vans surf boards and the mullet (if u r an aussie)

  • too brilliant to be brilliant

  • OMG thats soo cool! lol.. wot i wood give to live bak then and for les to do that to me.. lmaoo

  • i agree with you choosesarah. it would be totally fun 2 go bak in time and meet them. but i dont think i would do what i think you want to do :0) lol

  • Pink, that's funny. No, most people wouldn't do the things I would do. My mom read the comments here and was laughing her butt off. (She will never allow me to go back in time and ravage Woody and Eric.)

  • I think this is from the Granada Show Supersonic, where the co producer was the female voice directing from the editing Gallery

  • Cliff Richard wasn't bad either!

  • Your not kidding, I use to like him too! Although, no one can hold a candle to our darling, Derek!!

  • what a fun video! I love the way the BCR performed this song! The butts are great! Eric really looks sexy........

  • yyyyyes! Love those butt shots!

  • They do have nice ones don't they! :)

  • I love this video so much! I can watch it over and over again. I'll take Woody anytime!!!

  • me too:)!!!!

  • Eric has a pretty nice body nice...wow! His shirt wide open!!!

  • Beyond nice Woody is HOT.!!!!

  • nice back kick eric :) i wish i could do that

  • ohh god i loved these guys.. loved everything abt these cute Scottish lads, if only my sis and I cld have got our hands on em.. mmmmmm yummmm

  • Eric played guitar. But WHO CARES? Did you see that shot of Woody's butt? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • We were treated to shots of ALL their butts!! Hey, that made my day!

  • I know, but Woody's just looks so . . . ready!

  • Hahahaha!!! Ok, I'm almost afraid to ask....ready for what?

  • Anything that's humanely possible, Ladyparrotluvr. I'm totally an Eric fan, but you gotta admit, Woody looks awful cute here. (My mother thinks I'm crazy -- and she was a TOTAL Roller fan when she was a teenager.)

  • ready? for what???

  • Lila: I don't know EXACTLY WHAT it looks ready for, but I could definitely think of several things if I could go back in time. God, I could be happy just staring at it and thinking.

  • You are too funny! How many times have you viewed this video? I've seen it quite a bit. It's kind of a stress reliever! Love this! It would be fun to go back in time to see the real thing.

  • Lilaogw: I'm not joking. If I could get back there, I would storm the stage. I wish I could push a button to make them all freeze and then, well, you know, just do whatever. THAT'S a stress-reliever. I've watched this ten or twelve times.

  • Woody's impossibly tiny tush! Bop-she-waddy-waddy! Oh yeah, get me a time machine STAT!!! (Or at least a flight to Scotland...LOL! )

  • OMG this is so cool.

  • thanks for sharing that info. I love this video!

  • No problem. I love this too, they all look as though they really had fun doing this!

  • Didn't woody play bass after alan left?

  • Yes he did. Then when Alan returned they shared the task.

  • eric and les playing the guitar! class :)

  • Eric played the bass.

  • Actually, Alan played bass.

  • Sorry, I knew Alan played bass, after I sent the comment. I knew Eric and Woody played gutiar. Les played sometimes.

  • No problem, we all get mixed up sometimes. Great vid though isn't it?

  • Yes, I love and loved the Bay City Rollers

  • I didnt ever get to see Alan sing in person but I wish I had. He is sooo cute. They all have great hair in this video

  • Oh yeah, even though Eric always will be my favorite, Alan was a very close second....he was hot too!

  • Alan is such a dreamboat

  • They called Les the sex-symbol? Alan was and is far better looking!

  • This is a really good song! So what if its a Chuck Berry Remake, they did a Fantastic job! I especially like how they were kicking the balloons around. Especially where Eric did that Back kick towards the end.

Again Great Song, Great Job Guys!!!

    Thanks

  • OMG did you see Eric almost slip and fall ? This video was fun thanks for posting it.

  • god, alans dimples still knock me out, what a smile!. brings back a lot of memories. alas, we all had to grow up! but, i like to just pretend that they will always be forever young- even if only on you tube! lonelystreet

  • :0)

  • Brings back alot of fun memories. Thanks for posting this.

  • I forgot - this also makes me think of ELO & Ringo Starr!

  • This tune is SO Chuck Berry!

    I would've loved to hear Alan's 1977(?) single, I'm Confessin'.

  • its a chuck berry rip off anyway

  • who has 'wouldnt you like it'

  • This is so much fun - it's a blast to watch these. Sigh, Eric had the best hair and sweetest smile...

  • yougogal...hee hee...Woody is a doll isn't he? Don't know if videos exist or not, but Woody sang lead on one song on the Strangers in the Wind album and one song on the Elevator album. And the Rock and Roller video is my favorite video so far! Woo hoo! Love all of these!

  • Woody looks pretty hot!!!

  • did woody ever sing vocals on any bcr songs

  • hey he sang on the song rock and roller.. you can see it on youtube!

  • I think 'Love Brought Me Such A Magical Thing' was him. Not sure though.

  • Yes, that is Woody on lead on "Magical Thing" also on the song "Tomorrow's Just Another Day Away" on the Elevator album...:-D

  • Love this clip! They look like they are having so much fun! Alan did sing lead on at least one other song, "Here Comes That Feeling Again" which is on the "Wouldn't You Like It" album...he has a great voice and should have done more on lead vocals! Thanks so much for this video!

  • Such a great vid! Alan should have taken the lead more often. :-)

  • I lurved this man so much! sadly he didnt know I existed lol... great song though and great memories thank you!

  • first time i heard this song loved it pity alan didnt sing more

  • Lol...takes me back. Checked out Alan Longmuir on Google...been in poor health apparently, heart attack in 1995 followedd by a stroke in 1997. Happily the article says that he's now on the road to recovery.

  • I always loved this song. Yey Alan! :)

  • Yes, I loved seeing Eric slide and nearly fall! "Whoa! Speed Bump!" :) Hilarious! I also liked seeing Eric and Les "goofing around" like they were, especially since they weren't "best mates." It shows they could be professionals and great performers. :)

  • thanks for the comments guys! keep em coming and i hope you like it!

  • thanx 4 all the clips i watch them every day look forward to any new ones

  • One of the rare songs where Alan sings lead. And poor Eric almost fell when he ran on stage. Really looked like they were having fun then.

  • My God! Eric! he almost fell when he ran out there! i was like oooh oooh! but he didnt fall! then when he was kicking the ballons! very strong! ;-) and Alan has such a diff voice than LES..which is AWESOME!

  • Always loved this song and LOVE this version & the performance. :)

    Thanks for posting!
