  • I challenge any practitioner of solely Small Circle Ju Jitsu to a fight for $1000. Till TKO or Submission.

  • poor guy,too much pain..................

  • It's pretty obvious that the poster "subfighter" is looking for publicity. Take a look at his vid on..Pumping Jab To Setup Body Shot - Subfighter MMA .. He talks about shutting down his opponent to set up a body shot in MMA not only laughable, but really shows how clueless this subfighter is. He is only inviting any half-azzed grappler in for a double or single leg take. Pretty typical of the bullshido crowd. A clueless group of people who have never experienced anything they condemn

  • The original Small Circle Jujitsu isn't bullshido and the late Wally Jay wasn't a fraud. His son Leon Jay, however, is a second-rater who has devolved into a bullshido artist (teaching "chi" and "death touch" and other rubbish).

SCJJ is primarily finger-locks and wrist-locks. Maybe not the be-all and end-all of martial arts, but still valuable in certain circumstances. Thousands of cops have trained in SCJJ because they have found it very useful for controlling perps who resist arrest.

  • he is using small joints locks which is disallowed and not taught in most school. trust me this works, its not those bullshit ki video you see on youtubes. your fingers hurts like hell

  • He's explaining and demonstrating principles of locking. There are many many various violence scenarios and understanding how to move from one technique to another is part of Ju Jitsu. The uke is rolling and diving out of it to protect his joints.

  • this is shit

  • @Kanazawa88 yeah it is! I was at the McDonalds Drive thru with my Krotty friends and this dude in his catch me try to f@ck me shorts is laying on the ground kicking at us saying "Helio Gracie is gonna jump outta my ass and attack you cause my BJJ is so badass!" Then the five of us kicked the living shit out him! Dude you are shit! That is Wally Jay, we wouldn't have "Real Jujitsu" in the United States if it wasn't for him, and at 90 years old- he'd kick your ass!

  • in every smal circle JJ video are only fingerlogs. did sm jj has something more ??? it looks nice, but that did aikido too. when someone attacks you with a punch oder kick etc you cant grap his fingers ^^ fingerlogs should be a SMALL part of a system..not the "main super secret ultimate only-learning-insmjj"technic..just my 2 cent

  • Why is it? when you are not a sports martial art everyone trys to pick on you.

ever had you life depend on your skill?

ever been in a real attack?

ever had to break someone elses bones?

If not than go back to your tae kwon do and get off this page.

  • @GmstrHan

HEY ......Hey .......Tae kwondo is grrrrrrrrrrrreat!

  • @l2a3sterling lol nice russel peter's impersonation.

  • I've been walked around a room with a wrist lock before, hurt like hell. Problem is getting those pulled off in a fight. Not that easy. I think that's the gripe with many people here. The principle is sound, but the execution may be difficult to pull off on an uncooperative opponent. I suggest trying it when you full contact spar someone and find out for yourself.

  • @nbglass You should ALWAYS be working off a reaction or action basis in an out of dojo/ring/arena situation. If you take time to think youll be sorry. Whatever works, works wether you punch him in the face or kick him in the shin, whatever. But the whole point of drills in MAs is that with time and effort they become your reactions / actions. Thats the whole point.

  • I take bjj and small circle and my small cricle instrutor would kill my bjj instructor with ease. Most bjj schools focus on sport and smcjj is self denfense, it like comparing boxing to mma. my bjj instructor would agree, both are great and compliment eachother as do many styles.

  • saw a bar fight once with 2 guys rolling around on the floor.one guy let out a scream like a little girl and tried to push the other guy away .his little finger had been broken sticking out at a strange angle with a bend in it that shouldn't be there.

These guys had no training in anything and a jamaican friend of mine said it is a common technique among muggers (gimme your wallet or I will break your finger)

    don't confuse seminar with reality

  • I do love one rule Wally Jay had: Always go back to the fingers. GREAT things to grab if you can. A lot of schools of grappling don't allow it, and you can't do it in MMA (under the no small joint manipulation rule). In real life though, if they are leaving them out there (rare to happen lol) then go for them, hurts like hell.

  • Man, whatta lot of bullshit...

  • There are no bad techniques-just bad technicians!

  • Why do people comment on things they have never experienced? I teach Judo and BJJ and I can tell you this stuff works. I have been on the receiving end of Wally Jay's dance of pain and I could not escape. There is constant pressure on your joint so when you try to escape he adds more pressure and pain.

  • Out of curiosity, where do you teach? What is your BJJ and Judo rank?

  • @TarzanboyZ I KNOW 4 A FACT THAT ALL OF THIS WORKS & IT IS IN ALL COMBATIVE ARTS SHAOLIN LONG FIST, AIKIDO,WING CHUN, JUDO, JUJITSU,KALI/ SILAT,JKD,ECT..A GENERIC TERM IS SMALL JOINT MANIPULATION . i recomend any1 who thinks that this is crap go 2 a siminar of sum1 reputable in these skillsets volunteer 4 demo of live technique & fight your way free w/ all your might tell them 2 do it or they are all TALK !!! LOL !!!

  • @TarzanboyZ because they finish a couple of years of high school with a chip on their shoulder, buy a" tap out" hat and t-shirt beat someone up in a bar, work out in an mma gym with an asshole who takes steroids, and POOF within monthes they are a professional martial artist in the MMA world. No regard for discipline or honor.

  • Bjj in most schools is not a complete martial art and geared toward sport and competition. think about rolling with someone who can punch, bite and use your fingers (all of which are not permited in class) ? I train in both and the bjj guys always protest with rules when we free fight or roll, the ranks below purple belt say ''you cant do ankle or leg locks'' ''no fingers'' ''dont spike me on my head while I atempt a armbar'' , dont armbar me if Ican pick you up. If it were on concrete ?

  • @haircutdeluxe Yeah, coz I really wanna be rolling round on the floor in the middle of a club with bottles all over the place and his mates stomping my head in while im there. Thats why the 5 0 dont go to floor if they can possibly help it.

  • No they work quite well. Definately used them in security situations for compliance.

  • i heard wally jay taught the OSS unarmed combat

  • I've successfully applied daito-ryu aiki jujitsu techniques in hostile random situations, and have also taught people basic jujitsu techniques they have likewise applied in hostile situations.

I agree the person being demonstrated upon is 'playing it up' and isn't very good at demonstrating, and also that these techniques are being taught outside of how they would be applied [accompanying strikes, etc.] but they are still valid techniques that work.

  • I don't see how this is Bullshido - they are legitimate techniques that work. They are being demonstrated as principles and techniques, not in application [ie being employed off an attack, etc.].

  • because they dont work.

unless your attacker happens to be a stunt man

  • hey joshgates81, your dumb

  • yes yes and your mother is fat,

    whats your point???

  • the point is...your dumb. Any other questions ?

  • and your dumb.

  • ...obviously if I participate in youtube arguments.
