Joey in Chicago sending hello's to all my fellow Carpenters fans. I have been a fan since I was just 3 or 4 years old back in 1972. I had thought I heard and had all of the Carpenters songs. I recently ordered "All you get from love is a love song" on 45 rpm for my 1980Rock Ola Jukebox. "I have You" is the B side of this 45. I never heard this song...ever. Oh my gosh...what a gem! It was like an early Christmas gift to hear this song for the first time ever. God bless you always Karen!

I used to spend hours in my room listening to music. I copied down every song I ever had by the Carpenters. Karen was my idol. I even sang like her. I miss her. Listening to her songs bring back the lonely times I used to spend in my room as a teenager. I was a loner, but she helped me through those days.

Breast Cancer, Cardiovascular Disease, Renal Failure, War, Muscular Dystrophy, Eczema, Anorexia, AIDS, Schizophrenia......... They ALL take a aggravating and sometimes deadly toll. They all complicate what should be an individual's otherwise Full and Healthy life. Karen had a mental illness, poorly understood at her time that still holds a stigma of weakness today. I so miss and long to hear more of Karen...

I can barely listen to Karen's voice and not get that spark of memory, of love from afar, of love near. Her voice simply flows with love, she had so much to give and gave it so freely to a man who did not cherish her or her love. She's been part of my life from the first time I ever saw her on Sullivan, she will always be part of my life.
