@NickyVNC You might want to try frosting, considering this recipe seems very similar on how to make cake pops. I mean, I think cream cheese is a better substitute that frosting for this recipe but if you don't have any then you might want to try store-bought frosting. Besides that, I can't think of any. Hope this helps :)

@makeupaddict313 When you make cake pops you bake the cake and then mix it with frosting so it's a bit different. Frosting is good because you can match it up with whatever flavor cake you use =)
