There are plenty of good fats in a chinchillas normal diet. Both in chinchilla pellets and their hay. No nuts at all should be given. Yes your video is cute but you are spreading misinformation that could kill chinchillas. They should not ever be offered nuts, seeds, fruits or veggies. Only a high quality chinchilla pellet and hay.

@dearnapst theres two types of almonds, sweet and baking, the baking almonds are bitter and have the poison and need to be cooked, however the sweet almonds have next to none. Seeing as we can eat the sweet raw with no ill effects, yet the bitter baking ones make us sick, goes to show the difference. xD I had to do lots of research about them before feeding some too my hamsters.
