@SuruchiSangeet Tagore songs are very lyric-centric and if you do care to understand the lyric and analyse it, you will note that Tagore had expressed a fatalistic view point, ergo leaving his destiny all upto fate. The graphics depict just that.
I have checked Keya's rendition against the swaralipi and they match. However, if you are comparing with Lopamudra's rendition then there is a difference in the talas. Personally I don't care much for Lopamudra's rendition. It is too folksy.
I want to exactly mention the part "ratri bela". Keya has sung like "sakal r-a-a-a-a-tri bela", whereas, according to swaralipi, it should be "sakal r-a-a-a-tr-i-i bela". I am not sure whether I could make you understand. You can hear the version of Indrani Sen also.

I am wondering if you even understand the "main spirit" of this song. Let me summarize for you in 3 words: passion, devotion, and succumbing. The thinly clad women pics were selected specifically to depict the above key words.
I think Keya Chatterjee can sing in English. Even if it takes 2/3 years she shoul try. Don't make all your translations public (I don't know if Rabindra Bharati/Viswa Bharati has already done the ground work). Even in last 50 years, not many English Rabindra Sangeet has come in the market. Bengalis living abroad (me too) are eager to present English RS CDs to their friends. This market will never shrink. So think seriously. Make the images Indian (not scantily clad). Good Luck

Thanks again Nilanjan. Actually I embarked on this project to set an example for the literati in Kolkata and Dhaka, i.e. get as many of rabindrasangeets translated to English as possible. Unfortunately, I came to realize that folks well versed in Rabindric Bengali have a shallow command of English. We need more Xaverians, St. Paulites, and Loreto girls take interest in RS.
