  • Every time I watch this video it never fails to amaze me. Chapman stick + loops = awesome.

  • una cosa divina!

  • He likes to use looping alot. Do I have a problem with that? Hell no!!!!!!! He's awesome, looping or not!!!!!!!!

  • That playing and looping sounded amazing!

  • which Bach song is he playing?

  • Passacaglia

  • This guy is absolutely incredible.

I wish I could afford one of those...

  • That is called an ebow. Google it.

  • Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor, BWV 582

  • Amazing! Bach is smiling down from heaven!!

  • it's like an orchestra of electric guitars and clavichembalos. amazing!

  • What happened at the end, he like stopped playing but the music continued

  • He looped some of the track

  • He explains at the beggining that he will use a Loop recorder to capture each part, and play over it... he is recording live!

  • A beautiful rendition of one of my favorite Bach pieces ever! *****

  • That was so incredible! I wish I could do that!

  • whoa! huge dot inlays! Very distracting.....great performance though.

  • Mezmerizing :)

  • amazing. I love how at the end, after he's created it all, he just stands there to finish it.

  • AMAZING is an understatement! my all time favorite Bach piece being played in an innovative way... I didn't think it could get any better, but then he produces the e-bow?!

    FLAWLESS VICTORY!

Anyone know what type of looper or effects he's using?

  • Excellent! This is one of my favorite pieces of all time and he has performed it beautifully! I love how it sounds on the stick too!

  • What about the fugue?

  • Finally a modern arrangement of Bach that brings something new and different while respecting the original work (oops :P)

  • If yoo like Bach you should hear Jacques Loussier then as that is exactly what he does. Piano, drums and Double bass. Great reinvention of Bach with out going all elevator music about it.

  • I agree, but I still like the Chapman stick, beautifull instrument, also Bach's music on the "Moog" synthesizer by Walter Carlos. Bach is timeless, you can play his music in all different styles, classic modern, jazz, it's always beautifull

  • Thank you so very much!

You might be the reason me getting a Stick again. I sold mine more than a decade ago due to lack of time. Would I have known such beautiful music be playable on a Sick I might have kept it! ;-)

Your performance is outstanding beautiful. You really touched my heart with this Bach tune.

  • played on a Sick ??

  • Well, must have been stick writing this. ;-)

    Sorry for the typo...

  • The technique is somewhat similar to the way a clavicord works. Bach rocks, especially in C minor.

  • ufff que locura... wow

  • De los mejores del mundo!!!

  • Brilliant! That is such an awesome work. Amazing arrangement!
