Yes I loooove the 1990 Al Jarreau version, but there is no point comparing the two. In both versions there is so much musicianship, so much talent and so much joy to share the finest music with people - I'm happy to be alive and listen to these guys who aren't in it for the bucks but for the MUSIC!

Love this post!! A true gift of music shared with us all. Some lovely solos and melodies. The only thing I would change would be Steve Gadd to play the correct Latin grooves and feel BUT the extra percussionists on this version made it really enjoyable anyway. Chick Corea would have enjoyed a very good cover and rendition albeit totally different to his own.
