I just bought a ticket to Osaka today. I've have not traveled any where since i was very young. Your videos terrified me.... but no matter how shitty my trip could end up becoming i know i would feel so much worse if i just stayed at home. Nothing shall stop me.

I've lived in Japan for 19 years. A young American 32 year old...now, a rather older hardened 51...A lot happened...loved and lost, hated /loved this place, felt trapped in this place, hated the language , learned the language...my little girl was born here on these shores - god bless her soul - this clip brought tears to my eyes as I realized after all these years and from this video alone that - after years of denial ...Japan is HOME. @zerojet Thank you, Sir, for that wonderful comment. I was a mere 20 years old when I made these videos and toured alone. Japan hardened me as well... I have matured a lot in the short span of 18 days. I would do it again just to experience because it has indeed changed my life. Wow, Amanda. Your video was FANTASTIC! The editing was superb! It didn't hurt that you had Joanna Wang'ss song playing in the background...haha..that really set the mood. LOL Makes me want to travel to Japan and see the rest of beautiful Asia. Born and raised in America, but my heart is in Asia. I hope to go home some day too! Thanks for the inspiration! If I ever run into you backpacking through Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea, or wherever in Asia my heart leads me to. I'll make sure to say Hi! =)

Aw... really! thanks a lot!! I had a really good time making them, despite having 2-3 hrs of sleep every night. I'd get home (the hostel) maybe 12 midnight. Then I'd make the 'video of the day' for a few hours, then I'd have to clean up the hostel and my belongings, shower, sleep a bit and wake up in time for check out. It was extremely hectic and I don't suggest doing it unless you like sleeping on trains, buses, and while walking. LOL.

I would do it again. Very much so. I'd travel further from Tokyo (I was a bit scared of getting lost on the way back on this trip.) next trip I'll be a bit more daring. I'll try more onsens, meet more people, and PACK LIGHTER.
