@nathwild112 I am pretty sure the "shhhh" was so people could hear the music he was amazingly playing...not to be disrespectful. He is a very nice person from what I've heard so I don't believe he mean't any disrespect.
Great guitarist, killer tone. But "shhhhh" ? Cummon! If you want to be centre of attention then work for it with your playing, don't demand it like a douche. Riff was shit anyway.
It's a known fact Joe learned every blues style of all the masters so it matters not who or what might be emulated only that the masters recognize Joe as a master in his own rights, :)
I'm certainly on the top in your book then!Have known them from the beginning, and still love them.Selftitled Bad Co( black) album is the best rock album of all times!
He has a four amp rig consiting of a Marshall Silver Jubilee, a Two Rock, a Category 5, and a Carol-Ann. This is his current live rig but throughout the years it has fluxtuated and you will see everything from all Marshalls to Buddas to evrything else.
BTW his Marshall Silver Jubilee is always running. Large component of his sound.
In this vid I'm pretty sure he is using his Marshall Jubilee. He also uses another amp company called Category 5, who make really sweet but really expensive amps.
i didnt hear much SRV in this. joe says he was more into rory gallagher. he also says he basically "steals" clapton and eric johnson's stuff. which i think is the most evident in his playing. he also a big free fan.
@sgdan143 I bet it wasn't the camera's microphone.. but that's just me... I believe they probably used a simultaneous second track over-lay for the amazing quality...but i'm an ignorant fool...
Any one else notice that that shh is really god damn loud! And of course the playing here is incredible!

Excellent stuff, Les Paul on full thrust through a Marshall, what a combination. Very simple song, but performed to maximum effect, rock on Joe !

Look at early Cream or Peter Green with John Mayall BB.....think you`ll find the tone/style comes from their inspiration ;-))

he dosnt try to sound like SRV thats a good thing because his own vibe is very sweet, and his tone is his own...
Great hands , great vocals, feeling it as he plays....

@mistersnaredrum Yep, that is an old blues piano riff. Good way to pick up different blues licks is to listen to piano and sax.
