  • Bono and Ali are very good!

  • They caught the leperchaun and stole his potagold

  • What dickwads disliked this???????

  • She is beautiful I'll give you that - however you're still a corporate bastard Bono.

  • What about Haiti, dammit?!?

    Anyone give a crap about

    that country?!?

    DJ

  • @jeangenie1271 Haiti is Arcade Fire's cause ;P

  • it´s very nice and proud that they use cotton from Perú: EVERYBODY HAVE TO BUY EDUN CLOTHE !

  • fantastic story. captivating and brilliant. very inspirational

  • Comment removed

  • Wow 25 years of marriage to the same woman. I wonder if he has ever cheated on her with all the great things he says and does.

  • @lg123xyz doubt it

  • @viperdude281 You don't think so? ... seriously.

  • jollyroger...you're inane....how is advocating trade, rather than aid, and calling for justice, "liberal back scratching"? Bono works with both "liberal" and "conservative" politicians, but it's people such as yourself who fail to understand what liberalism really does. Indeed, "conservatives" love aid and welfare more than "liberals" do, because via these efforts, they placate the masses without making the changes that actually advance peoples' rights to self-determination and development

  • the africans don't want the aid they want to trade" Bono i love so much for that . can someone bless this man for me? just a humble blessing not fame but a little heavenly blessing.oops i got tears running down . he comes to africa talks about her the way it should be not like assisted as everybody sees but. but he sees us the way we do see ourselves and want the world to see us.

may God bless you PAUL HEWSON

  • the africans don't want the aid they want to trade Bono i love so much for that . can someone bless this man for me? just a humble blessing not fame but a little heavenly blessing.oops i got tears running down . he comes to africa talks about her the way it should be not like assisted as everybody sees but. but he sees us the way we do see ourselves and want the world to see us.

may God bless you PAUL HEWSON

  • Who do you think gave you the money? And it wasn't Bono

  • While I was just listening to Bono singing "One" on the radio, she said "money". God's work

  • Bono is wearing his heart on his sleeve, LITERALLY!?!?! WHAT?!?!?!

  • woooowww, in south america many people is hungry too. god bless your millions. Amazing duet!

  • Ali is really beautiful!

  • his hair was the best saturday night, spiky and not too short! <3

  • oscar, u say he is a self serving irish prick, what does it have to do with bono being irish? do i detect a note of racism in ur comment?

  • @ceolnaghra That's not racism.

  • @stockinettestitch So what would you call it?

  • @ceolnaghra I have no idea what this was about. What was the post to which I wrote that?

  • @ceolnaghra Oh, was it about ceolnaghra's comment re: self-serving Irish *****? Probably I meant that Irish isn't a race of people really, it's a nation. There are so many ppls living in, well, all countries now that it's not a racial issue. ?? To be honest, I just don't remember writing this or even watching this vid. I think that's the curse of too many videos and technology in our culture.

  • Bono needs longer hair again

  • @oneByU2 i think the short hair suits him. think the hair may be thinning a bit too!!!

  • Yeah the idea is pretty awesome, however when I went to the Edun website I realized that unfortunately their cool looking clothes were not for me when the T shirt i liked cost $60 and the pants $248. Like organic food, you pay way more :(

  • @MrUndercoverblues Hi, I've thought about what you said and I'll withdraw the word Hypocrite from my dialogue. You are right. He probably does do a lot to highlight need and poverty.

Still can't stand the man though!

    Cheers!

  • He's a great person, but what is it with people who choose to wear sunglasses indoors?

  • @FuriousPhil88 I'm not 100% sure but I have heard it said often that he has the photo-sensitivity to lights. It's painful and all the singing on stage is under the glare of lots of lighting. The same with interviews. So if it is prescribed, it is understandable. He's always in the 'spotlight' to begin with and I'm glad he uses his celebrity status to draw attention to the bad things some live with. People get tired of him preaching but his heart is in the right place.

  • @EFT4MeDebi Well if that's the case, then I completely understand.

  • @FuriousPhil88 It's cool

  • @MrUndercoverblues You don't get it do you. Lots of people all over the world do their bit to help others. I do not begrudge the success of anyone who has made it big in their chosen field but I do resent the sheer hypocrisy of those such as Bono who preach with a religious zeal about the rest of us giving to the poor when they themselves are bloated by their wealth and super size egos.

It's all PR, tailor made for their fanboys and anyone stupid and gullible enough to listen.

  • you can time his "save africa" speeches with the release of a new album. brilliant!

  • I absolutely love Bono. My friend and I have a huge crush on him. :]

  • Bono is a self serving Irish prick.

He urges all to make poverty history but he wants to hold on to his untold millions, oh, and the private jets.

    Hypocrite.

  • @oscarmacca/ why do stupid people not realize that Bono does more to help people than almost everyone else, and that although he encourages people to give to help, he's one of the few people who are actually getting things to change. So what if he holds onto a lot of his wealth. I don't see many others giving anything, yet see a lot of the same losers bitch about what wealthy people don't give. The wealth is in their hands and they don't have to do anything with it, but do. You do what, exactly?

  • Because unfortunelly this kind of person thinks everyone is like him, and when a really good peson who cares about the others and not only hinself cross they way they don't recognize it and tends to slam then... smal soul...that is just to sad

  • THIS is why Bono is my hero whom I look upto. He's not just a rich rockstar. He gives back what is given to him. He's earned my respect, as well as the respect of millions around the world.

  • hey guys, shut the fuck up, you think bono is god, he is just a human being like anyone else, at least bono is doing to help unlike some others fucking rockstars, who take drugs and fuck around, go bono

  • Great ppl..but need to take the wool of their eyes and stop being sheeple...

  • @Bonobnoxiousnob Just fuck u, u & ur sister.

  • Hey Bono, can you solve the welfare problem in America?

  • welfare is $36,000/year/per person in Netherlands College & medicine if FREE

  • I hope you live there then, if not, move.

  • If America can't save itself, then America can die at its own hand. America is spoiled, fat, and lazy.

I'm American and I approve this message.

  • a talented, hardworking, commited, and above all LUcKY man...gotta love Bono.

  • Bono and Ali....Bonbali...lol......nice couple

  • You could just boil it down to someone trying to do a good thing, no?

  • h a edun went bankrupt that what i heard

ali is very lucky womeon to be married to bono the sexiest man out there yum

  • i can't decide if she's lucky to have him...or if he's lucky to have her.

  • What have you ever done for anyone else?

  • @fastfoodclowns Just fuck u, u & ur sister.

  • You have to love what this man says and does.

  • heal the world

    make it a better place....

For you & for me and the entire human race

    There are people dying

If you care enough for the living, make A better place for you and for me

  • Katie Couric is such a jackass.

  • ali is fucking smoking hot.. her husband needs a haircut

  • I bought one of their shirts. I paid $50.00 I used it to mow my grass and ripped it. They are not strong T-shirts. but the are comfortable. I could never find another one like it to replace it.

  • i just bought a rogan coat (his own line) that cost $400, and I bought my mum a jean jacket for $330. It hurt me to spend so much but I like to support eco-friendly brands. BTW, some of his t-shirts are on sale for 19 bucks, regularly 60.

  • Finding a store in the USA that sells his line is hard to find. I

  • you could always go to his website - they are having a clearance sale!

  • ahhh que envidia! como envidio a Ali...tiene a un hombre muy lindo por esposo...

Pero me alegro de que Bono y su esposa sigan juntos y sean muy felices!

    salU2!

  • how is this clothing line doing ? does anyone know?

  • Ali is smoking hot

  • god i dont know if i could live in the states with all the dodgy puns tv people throw around

"if you still haven't found what you're looking for.. then pop down to"

  • Yes and that is how it should be done. Lets pray they are successful despite the economy.

  • How many Courics?

  • lol

  • it really sucks with

    the streets have no name...

    THIS STREET HAVE A NAME!!

  • Thank you for this, I'm a big fan of . . . Ali!

Oh and Bobo of course. ;)

  • u like vb do u

  • I'm not sure what vb is, but I love U2 and Bono, if that helps. Bono's activist wife Ali is awesome too.

  • verelles boulevardins a programe about orphaned children like vox 4 instance he has no family since 14 (my age) so thats is what the vb is

p.s i'm subing and add u as mate

  • oops

  • Ali Hewson looks excellent, and with Bono - super, and that they doing... - I haven't no words (у меня нет слов)

  • wats the song in the background at 5:20?

  • "City of blinding lights" (from the album "How to dismantle an atomic bomb")

  • It's 'Beautiful Day' from the album 'All That You Can't Leave Behind'.

  • exactly. people are lost in the superficial fashion these rap and R&B artists turned clothing desingers put out with the bling bling, the "spoiled princess" messages inprinted on little girl's t-shirts and walking around with a tiny dressed up dog in your hand like paris hilton. bad thing is edun clothes is expensive. i went in there a while back and liked a few things but the t-shirts were the only thing in my price range.

  • flealoaf ??? how can u diss the irish they rule. They make such an impact for a small country. Jealous? I think i know where your from... Bono and Ali are great, contributing members of society and I think U2 are amazing ambassadors for Ireland. Ali is beautiful. Irish women are so naturally pretty.

  • Bono and Ali, they are so awesome, and so much different from other celebrities as for them it's not all about drugs and money.

    Long live the Hewsons!

  • let the wife talk for once boner

  • Ali Hewson is like an angel.

  • agreed

  • she looks like katie holmes to me X10 and minus the droopy eyes that look like they're falling off the side of her head.

  • Do you have a brain or just a wire in head holding your ears?

  • your disgusting.

  • i wish he was my father, this guy is so awesome

  • Two Thumbs Up~

  • ALI IS BEAUTIFUL

  • ali is very pretty, I agree - her and bono look great together!

  • Could Ali be any freaking cuter? Seriously.

  • Katie didn't let Ali say almost anything! It was "Bono and Ali--starring ME!!!"She's all over the place. bleh!!!

  • lol "married to a rock star that's quite an accomplishment"

To Ali, that might be the insult of the century because, given her deeds, she's SO not superficial

  • Luvs23 wrote: "lol "married to a rock star that's quite an accomplishment" - To Ali, that might be the insult of the century because, given her deeds, she's SO not superficial "

Luvs, I think people must have misunderstood your comment. You were saying something positive, but the double negative might have gotten in the way. "She's SO not superficial" meaning she is NOT superficial & has accomplished more than just "marrying a rockstar." Good comment. Thumbs up from me.

  • Agree 100%. Whenever I hear the song "All About Soul" by Billy Joel I think "Forget Christie Brinkley, that song might has well have been written about Ali Hewson!"

  • I think that U2 is the best band of all time. Bono is one of the driving forces of the band. I appreciate him using his celebrity to try to make the world a better place! U2 combines beautiful, haunting, poetic lyrics with thoughtful ballads as well as just plain ROCK AND ROLL!

  • why people critisise bono i will never know, all he does is express concern for global wrongs like the rest of us when were at home or work or social events, the fact that bono is rich and famous must really get on the wick of those who critisise his views. the truth is we the small people of planet earth need people like bono or bob geldoff to express our concerns for us because we are just too small and wont be heard.

  • EDUN rules!

  • Everyone can tell that you are busy spending time to judge people. The man has a gift to sing,to speak and has a good heart. What you got?

  • 197u2: What have you been able to accomplish for them?

  • Bono has been consistent for years with his message of humanity not only in his appearances but in his music. By comparison we have celebrities who visit Darfur and then go on to only interview on their movies and their girlfriends. Bono has more charcter in his little finger.

  • okay why do I see everyone talking bad about Bono making this idea yet nothing against Ali. This wasn't just his idea you know, his wife helped make this work! Ali is an activist too but no one says what she's doing is stupid. It makes me wonder why you really hate bono. If you hated him for these activist things you'd hate Ali too for going along with it and helping him, but yet no one does.

    I honestly don't get it...

  • Bono for President!!!

  • It's because the good stuff is all fake

  • Bono is NOT a Bush supporter; what a bunch of idiots here! However, Bono is not stupid, he knows he needs to "network" with folks he may not agree with to accomplish his goals - which are pretty noble; ending world hunger, children, AIDS, etc. I would take Bono over most anyone to get it done!

  • dont get da whole thing with da irish flag, why bono wont be seen with it, saying it represents the troubles in da north thats crap.

if he knew the true meaning of the irish flag; the green is the nationalists, the orange, the loyalists & the white in the middle, bringing the 2 sides together in peace.

hes happy 2 don the american flag in the inside of his jacket. bush is the worst president the americans have ever had. war on terror?

fighting 4 peace is like f**king for virginity.

  • seanoc79: he's all over the place with the irish flag! everyone knows first off that u2 is an irish band, it's so ingrained in their image. and before you complain that he doesn't donate enough to your country, look it up on the internet, so many charities for ireland he's contributed to.

  • never said he didnt donate money to charities either. sorry if i have offended all your hardcore u2 fans.

  • I remember watching Bono run around the heart at the Elevation tour with an Irish flag draped across his shoulders that he got from a fan a few rows below me.

  • not saying he NEVER has the irish flag dragged around his shoulders.. he did in slane when the irish team were there to see u2 play.

  • bono rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the tax is legal but not moral...and go look up the other 2 thye are true...gelgof has said that although bush is not popular he has given more money to africas aid than anyother former us president. go educate yourself

  • teachtaire, you made that shit up. the tax issue is totally legal and legit.

  • It's great that wealthy elitist like Bono can exploit 3rd world countries to make designer clothes. I wonder if they get paid union wages.

  • He's giving them jobs and taking care NOT to exploit them. Unless you think "not being as rich as some Europeans" is exploitation.

  • Are you serious? You are 1000% Wrong Is he incredibly wealthy? Yes, But i dont see the Donald giveing a crap about the Starving people. Bono Himself said at the start of this video. "Feet a world to fish" meaning he wants to give those people talent to make money for food so they dont starve.

  • payhere:

what would even make you come up with such a question? unless you're searching for a way, any way to discredit him? jealousy. not surprising come from someone with your name.

i'm happy that bono is better, more influential, giving and loving than his critics.

  • They're both very sensible! Glad to see some sane people making a difference in a world in sore need of common sense!!

  • When a person has an argument, they make it.

When they don't, they call names.

It's not enough to tell someone who responds like you did to grow up.

It's more appropriate to suggest medication, and professional counciling.

And this is coming from a Bono Fan.

  • Read Brendan O'Neils article

    "The Peoples Republic of Bono"

    Excellent!

  • Ali's really beautiful. But then did I expect her not to.

  • You people are so nasty, you can't even sign you'r names.

    Leslie

  • Al Pacino in "Heat"

  • he must do more than you cause he's rich. Im sure you would donate all your money in his place...

  • I wish Bono could sometimes do an effort to shut up and let Ali do the talk for ONCE|

  • I found out about the Edun line from an article on the JuliB site; he's obviously style obsessed, but I think it's great that he's found a way to mix style and social conciousness together.

  • What difference does it make if he chooses Africa or another country? He has money and fame and has the ability to do something about poverty and famine in another country. It's too bad that we have to question his motives because he has money - just be thankful that another human being is motivated to change the world. The world doesn't change because of politics, the world changes because someone gives a shit.

  • Africa isnt a country

  • i dont know the story behind the tax issue, but i wonder how much of his own money he donates? I reckon it would be huge amounts. Probably more than ireland does dollar for dollar. One thing he is doing is having ago and trying to make a difference. His families commitment over all the years is probably small in the long run, but it is much more than all of us have done together.

how many of us have gone out of our to help any one?

  • Funny how people critize Bono--who walks his religious faith more than half the world talks it--and they could probably care less about Snoop Dogg going through 50 grand just on the weed and the girls for the G5 ride back from Ibiza. Can you really say with a straight face that using his money, power, and influence to make the world a better place is a bad thing...

  • It's certainly not a bad thing. He does a lot of good, helps people, gains nothing financial from it, and spends a lot of time away from home doing it. My comment about 'the haves' having more being seen by some as why the 'have nots' have less is a view held by some (the left-wing view, not mine personally). I do believe though that his tax avoidance measures, that I mentioned, are something to be criticised. He got flak in Ireland for that and I think deservedly (read about it online).

  • Some people hold the view that it's because 'the haves' have more than they need that the 'have nots' have less than they need. It's always odd seeing a multi millionaire talking about people who have less than they need - a man with huge homes and who flys in private jets. Bono lost a lot of his credibility last year when he moved U2's business affairs to Holland to avoid Irish taxes. That's a case of a 'have' wanting to retain his spoils and less well-off Irish people end up with less.

  • mrtarmac:

i'll bet you don't give more money on your taxes than required either. bono is a millionaire because he's EARNED it. when a concert hall is full of eager fans, whose shoulders does it fall to perform? and he does it time after hundreds of times. over a dozen extremely well written albums don't write themselves.

there will always be haves & have nots, but there is only 1 bono!

  • I guarantee you that John Lennon saved more lives than that reporter with his music alone. Same goes for Bono. I can't tell who you're rooting for in this post.

  • Music has therapeutic qualities...the ability to ease pain, depression, etc. Who knows how many people have been emotionally uplifted by their music? It's impossible to gauge, but their fanbases suggests that many people have.

  • If you can't answer that yourself then you've never heard of the GAP campaign for RED, which helps people how have AIDS in Africa.

  • pitbullexpress:

whoa... are you living under a rock you backward sh*tter? what color is the sun in your world? when a life needs saving, you do it for the sake of saving that persons life, you need no other reason. but what's your excuse for being negatively indifferent? bono isn't even asking for your money he's asking for your voice. you've used yours to be a hater. wow.

  • to disagree with bono is to be a hater?

what are we going to do with all of these shallow, dishonest, celebrity worshiping co-dependents. grow up and stop calling people "haters" just because they disagree with you. You sound like a fascist Tyrant wannabe.

  • to disagree with bono is to be a hater?

what are we going to do with all of these shallow, dishonest, celebrity worshiping co-dependents. grow up and stop calling people "haters" just because they disagree with you. You sound like a fascist Tyrant wannabe.

  • He's an admitted Meglomaniac; do you think that comes with an on/off switch? ie; He chose Africa exactly BECAUSE it is unsavable. He is the PT Barnum of Rock n Roll. He is THE Pop Icon for Political Correctness.

  • Unsavable with your attitude about it. Glad you didn't work at NASA in the 60's.

  • What?

  • I guess those that would bash someone who has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, was granted an honorary knighthood by the United Kingdom, and was named as a Person of the Year by Time, would rather he act like a multi-millionaire snob like Brittney Spears who is a lousy mother, wife, a successful idiot and an all around useless, oxygen stealing, waste of space. Lotta good she's done for the world!

  • i don't know of any musician in this world who's like Bono who has a genuine good heart for the poor and underprivileged. we should be thankful people like him exist.
