  • soo....how exactly are you meashuring ftlbs of torque and horse power?

  • @POPCORN454545 As of right now, it doesnt measure anything. Its not technically a real dynomometer. There is a lego speed computer (which i dont have) which could easily be attached to the dyno to measure speed. The main reason i dont have the speed computer is because it only measures up to 500rpm, and most of my stuff is much faster than that.

  • @L1Design lol..didnt think so....500 rpm??..just gear it down then its easy....

  • @POPCORN454545 Yeah i could gear it down, but that would create more friction which would slow everything down. I think a few companies make a contact-less tachs that use a laser or something, that would be ideal - just aim a laser or infrared beam or whatever - no contact, no friction. Maybe ill get one eventually...

  • @L1Design ummm.....how does the lego tach read rpm then???

  • @POPCORN454545 it works by running an axle thru a rotation sensor.
