DarkHairedWierdo screaming when done right does not put that much strain on the chords he sounds great here. I didn't now he was capable of such a thing but who knew and his exhaled scream was very pronounced very sharp he obviously did it for the sake of the live show to enahce it or change it up. It's called improvising. And what he did takes a lot of technique aswell.
And obviously if he is gonna scream in the style he did then you can understand he had to make his voice suit that style of music. He sounded grunge like his tone was thicker and grainy but that was probably the intention as much as the screams are. It's still odd to Dave scream. I love that sort of thing often in rock or metal types but you never look at Depeche Mode and go yeah thats some hard ass stuff. It's kinda like saying Duran Duran put out a metal record. Pretty cool though.
I love the old style when he sang softly like the original version of "Enjoy The Silence" or Strange Love, and not like today trying to scream the lyrics not to sing....Me gustaba mas el estilo cuando cantaba suave en vivo, no tratando de gritar!

That was fucking awesome! I was at the San Sebastian, Spain show in July 2006, I flew in from California for the show......and they did the same ending to Personal Jesus ------ and it brought the stadium down!!!!

DM is my favorite band. i started to listened it from 88 to now. i have all dvds and some cds/maxis. I also like song of faith and Playing the angel. i just say that this is so strange on him.
