    But I really didn't like when they tried singing in English - just sounded stupid when compared to how well they sung in Chinese.

  • Youtube is global, its not only meant for English speakers it just so happens that English speakers (regardless of Ethnicity) seem to have a greater access to the internet, computers and recording equipment not to mention the zeal to post such media for everyone to see.

    As the years progress you shouldn't be surprised to see far more Mandarin (dominant language in China) and Cantonese (since I think Cantonese is the dominant language in Hong Kong) media on youtube.

  • there will be strongly localised versions or even different sites before that. most less educated people in europe for example only use a few local sites to get their info. with a huge cultural gap like between chinese and western culture there's gonna be an even stronger 'internet segregation' which I think is very bad as intercontinental communities create a better multicultural society and better informed people.
