here's one thing you should never do when a train goes under a bridge with you on top....... "DO NOT" stick your head over the edge of the bridge right above it........ its like being sprayed with a leafblower full of diesal fumes..... it also burns a little bit..... it also might blow you away, no pun intended....
That's still an excellent place to railfan. All the trains going down the Sunbury and over the mountain go past there. That part of the line sees, and this is a quick guess, 15 or so trains a day!
Lately, many gave been running at night. 412 and 512 are still often daylight trains. Plus, D-ll now works during the day between Taylor and 684 or 692.

Sounds like an old X crossing or short rail connection.....or maybe a rail joint fixing to come apart..lol

but they all run in either early moring or late at night which really doesn't lend itselfto photography unless you catch the random daylight run.
