Although I enjoyed this film and love Jason Statham, I am still wondering why they got so many things wrong. The clothes, the haircuts, the banter and the shop signs are so way off 1971 it isn't funny. The day someone makes a period movie and really studies how people made movies back in the 70s, the direction, the language used and the fact that even small-bit characters were believeable, I will jump for joy.

I love this movie very much. Jason Statham was brilliant. I think he's the best action star nowadays. Other actors (Daniel Mays, Stephen Campbell Moore, Saffron Burrows, Richard Lintern, Michael Jibson) were impressive too.

Right on! I am a yank and these actors are great!! Every single one of them had charisma and could act so well that I could utterly lose myself in them. What a glorious change to finally go to a great movie that was not mired in gloom and doom and angst! I reccomend this to everyone and the particularly discerning will get alot as well! And that Jason dude is HOT--a veritable young Bruce Willis--however Bruce is one of the few US actors with charisma.
