Have you tried taking any stain out of carpet? It is massive work to do so correctly and completely and most people do it wrong. This video focuses on the correct technique -blotting not rubbing- to remove stains. It's what I now use.
The other important point is realizing -even with lame stains- that you have to work hard to remove all of the stain. Otherwise, it will come back.
