That's not an adjustable rear wing, that's the DRS (Drag Reduction System) in action. I don't even follow F1 on a regular basis and I know that.
They can not adjust their wing downforce from the cockpit. They can't even adjust the chassis anymore. They have brake bias, of course, and they can electronically adjust the differential. And that's just about it these days. There may be one thing or two I missed, but they definitely don't adjust the wings.
Watch the lettering on the tire in the first 30 seconds, When the car is slower it looks like it's spinning backwards! Then speeds up, and spins forward. Cool effect from the camera. Go Kobayashi...!!!
It must be very hard for Kamui Kobayashi to concentrate with all the tragedy that has happened in Japan over the last few weeks. I really hope he does well this season and our thoughts are with the people of Japan, God bless them.
I can't wait to see the other iterations, seems simplistic enough but someone will come up an amazing way to do it and by the 4th race everyone will have it. I think Vettel hit the nail on the head and a couple other comments here, they have gone away from the pureness of F1 and put in all these improve the spectacle tools on the cars when they are only giving the pay drivers a chance to keep up with the guys with skills but stuck in a mid-grid car because of pay drivers... one big soap opera

Gotta love how he completely cuts the white line at the pit exit
So much for that
But i'm assuming the track has 0 cars on it at the time, so
I just thought F1 drivers had to obey the rules ALL the time, even in testing :P

Hope the downforce helps Kobayashi finish a race

let's hope the wings don't fall off like they did in Australia 2010.

Garbage technology... handicaps more skilled drivers, and lets garbage drivers look better.
Pure fuckikng gimmick shit... that's F1 for you ....

@HeelOnMe It's the same for everyone. The only thing it will do is increase top speeds with heavy fuel.
