  • She's funny.

  • Supernatural abilities to survive. Because I need the power of shooting fireballs from my eyes to survive.

  • @Vallinen92 - Or bone-claws, and regenerative healing capabilities. I need those.

  • What a brainless box. Let's ask the CIA for some facts:

Two roughly equal (in terms of technology, infrastructure, etc) countries; the Netherlands and the US.

    1) Dutch religiosity: other 2.2%, none 42% Rest therefore some (other) form of religion.

US religiosity: other 2.5%, unaffiliated 12.1%, none 4% Rest therefore some (other) form of religion.

    2) Dutch life expectancy: total population: 80.91 years

US life expec: total pop: 78.49 years

    Source: cia.gov factbook.

    Therefore; bullshit.

  • Did...did she think about what she said, before she said it? Oh wait. Ofcourse she didn't. What an idiot.

  • I love hellfire !

  • Ok, my philosophy tutor presented me with the example of impending doom. Imagine if you will that you have a man of faith (most likely an optimist) and a man without faith (most certainly a cynic or pessimist). The optimist is less likely to do anything about a situation but the pessimist's increased amount of critical thought means that they're more likely to consider a way out, because they don't believe anyone can help them other than themselves. There's my argument.

  • @wildvenisson Hm. Not entirely accurate I suppose. Too pessimistic might see a way out and then think it's not a way out after all and they're doomed to fail anyway so what's the point. :P

  • @FrisianDude That's like saying what's the point in pulling a reserve shoot after your original parachute failed. Yes it could fail just as the first did, but the possibility hardly justifies the suggestion that it might be pointless to try in case it fails. If you're in a no win scenario, you can't sink further, just faster. :P

  • @wildvenisson True, but kind of like psychologists named Wendy Walsh; pessimism need not be logical. :p

  • MrLogic4Me.

Don't eat any shrimp, clams, oysters, meat with cheese, ham, Don't plant various crops in your garden just 1 kind. Don't wear mixed blend fabric. Don't work on sabbath. Don't touch mensturating women. How many god given laws Don't you obey?

  • I find her pleasant. I would find her more pleasant still if someone were to pinch her nose shut until her urge to speak was completely (and hopefully permanently) extinguished.

  • Is Jesus Christ the Son of God?

  • Man this woman is an embarrassment to the field of Psychology. Where did she get her degree Phoenix Online?

  • Everything is made up of living/moving particles of energy. It is all from an omnipotent being who holds the very fiber of mass together with its very thought. Some call this energy higgs boson, I think it is God revealing that he knew science all along. Just wait until they try to explain what the particle, that is the universe, says back.

  • I certainly wish I could still have her tried as a witch. She's predicting the future as to who dies first. Oh never mind. If it weren't for people like this people like Bill Maher and Jon Stewart would be very, very hungry.

    Thanks for the material Jethrine.

  • Oh I wish the UK was in yellow on that picture :(

  • @hdregmore the facepalm is not only for the false "fact" she says, which if you actually look at the stats is actually UNTRUE. but for the superpower thing she says, if you actually agree with the superpower thing you are in denial and slightly insane.

there is no denial, she is just wrong, maybe you should look at the stats, but lets be honest, you wont, you just like thinking you are correct and pesky facts wont get in the way of that.

  • @theUKatheist Keep repeating it if you like. One day you may actually believe your bullshit.

  • @hdregmore what bullshit is that then? please elaborate on what you KNOW that i believe which is bullshit?

  • @hdregmore All of the countries highlighted as "high atheist ratio per capita" have exorbitantly longer life spans. This is quite comical considering the countries who are the least religious seem to be the most generous and socialist; thus, they provide government-funded health care. It is strange how the more religiously apt countries such as the United States, are capitalist, self-serving buffoons who are doing the complete opposite of what religious doctrines teach.

  • @thomas7797 All you have done is prove that statistical information can be interpreted in many different ways depending on infringing factors which can be included or excluded. Therefore with clever (or in this case dumb) manipulation any preconceived outcome can be justified.

Watch the Yes Minister episode about the hospital full of staff but with no patients. They had the highest efficiency rating in the country.

That is all you are doing. Disingenuously playing with numbers.

  • and the interviewr seemed to go along with this incoherent rant. whats up with that? or was he just being nice to his guest?

  • That would be difficult, seeing how I AM the greatest! She gets these stats from census data?

  • OHHH AMERICA, THE LAND OF THE HOME AND FREEEEEEEEEEE

  • @lukeyboy118 and retarded...

  • i pray that she is wrong on those figures it would be terrible if 70% were not religious...

    it should be 100% :)

  • we die first because god likes our company better :-)

  • I have heard before that religious people supposedly live longer, Doesn't really prove anything and I don't think she's suggesting that it does but she could have worded it better.

  • I hope that figure, that by 2050 70% of the Netherlands will be without religion, is true!

  • wtf we die first now that's what a god fearing idiot would say

  • wtf that womens a real nujtob.

  • I don't think that the claim is all that outrageous or cringe-worthy. However, it also does nothing to further any case that we should believe in supernatural nonsense. In the US, white, male physicians are considered to be high-risk for suicide. That datum does nothing to further any case for not being white, a dude, a doctor or any combination of the three.

  • @IAmMrWonder I became an atheist by thinking for myself, like most atheists, all of whom I have found to be intelligent, I am happy to report. I was a lonely atheist and thought the whole world insane (I remain correct) before I learned of other atheists. Atheism has taught me skepticism and to resist authority but respect knowledge. Nothing good can become of guiding one's life based on silly lies, false promises, and superstition.

  • @IAmMrWonder Don't the good die young? The real pompous asses appear every Sunday on television to tell us what to believe, despite lacking evidence for their claims--that's arrogance! As for your fatuous comment regarding painful deaths, Christianity did Jesus little good, who died a painful death, I am told. The Jesus character represents the archetypal arrogant ass and pompous slob, a Mr Knowitall tribal savage who tells others how to live.

  • This level of ignorance is just unbelievable

  • Comment removed

  • I'm brazilian, and we have a great example that atheists dies first : Oscar Niemeyer(1907 - ...). Whatta hell ??? He's still alive!!! An atheist zombie !!! LOL!!

  • i get it> ppl r stupid

  • Turn off I wouldn't even let her blow me when am sober.

  • Comment removed

  • I don't even... my brain melted.

  • so if we believe in supernatural powers we get them?? that's mazing. i might start believing ive won the lottery. definitely win then.

  • @theUKatheist I love how she says that without even blinking. And the anchor just nods. Brilliant.

  • Confidence is important and religion provides people with it.

  • It does make a shred of sense. She means that people typically do better if they have a name to follow and confidence. In fact, her statement is hardly pro religion at all. She basically put forward one of the biggest reasons for peoples love of religion. She isn't really that stupid.

  • BS atheist die first? we will be seeking cover while others pray. and a person that believes they have only one life is more likely to try to preserve it. and most would never join the military to be cannon fodder

  • @wanabyastick I joined knowing full well that I only have one life to live. There are, indeed, atheists in foxholes.

  • Don't they screen these nuts before they put them on the air? She basically just said people who can imagine having super powers are able to extend their lives using their imagination.

  • So if i believe in superman i should be able to

fly before i die? Or while dying?

  • @eeg425 You got the letters the wrong way round. Allow me to help. Dog is real, God is a fictional character from one our early stabs at trying to explain the natural world

  • @MrR0o God is real.

  • @attiyeh422 No, not really.

  • God is real.

  • @eeg425 Not really.

  • I like pie

  • Pie

  • "Atheist die first"...why? Because they don't believe in the supernatural? How does that follow, I don't get it. Man I wish she had given some sources for her outrageous claims. But maybe I should say something about this, Yale Medical School did research on the topic of hope, I think if was in 2003 or something that should people who had no "hope" always died first. So I think that's the right word here not supernatural but rather hope and we know that Atheist like others have hope. Simple...

  • why is her stupid ass a psychologist ?

  • I find it funny how this is your life but you get told what to do by somthing you have never seen (God)

  • The study of survivors was misrepresented. What "helped" them was the love of something usually family, some times "god". We didn't hear from the non survivors. so the study does have some inherent weakness.

  • So let me see if I'm hearing this right.. If I believe in a high power and I'm in some sort of crisis, I HAVE to believe that I have.. supernatural abilitys? Wtf? Where did she get that from? Of course science doesn't have all the answers. Sadly, faith has 0, Zip, NADA. Thats why its FAITH in a higher power. DERP. So what this woman thinks is that faith will save our lives in a crisis. Great.

  • kill that bitch for believing in jesus

  • "Walsh later clarified that she meant survivorship in medical situations rather than situations involving imminent danger, stating "I don’t believe in magic, nor do I think that God is this giant cop in the sky or ground control for our lives." - wiki

  • @VyckRo funny i can name 5 christians who when provided evidence do just that.

hes right too... a troll would say that lol

  • In order to survive, I must attain the supernatural abilities to survive that religion offers!

  • she says that religion is fighting religion, so isn't it better that we all become atheists?

because believing in a man upstairs is causing all this fighting?

  • WTF all I am gonna say

Well i really don't mind dying

  • lol super natural powers save peoples lives, not paramedics who spend years learning how to save the persons life. i think news workers are all trolls just fucking with everyone, no one can possibly be that stupid

  • Supernatural abilities whhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaatttttttttttttt???

  • Comment removed

  • so she thinks believing you can do supernatural things helps you to survive, yet somehow I doubt she's campeigning for the legalization of LSD.

  • If you think you have superpowers you are more likely to..... think you have it and jump from the fifth floor, like superman, wow, makes all the difference, there is logic and then there is alcohologic -religulous-

  • @VyckRo You're F.U.B.A.R.

  • H O L Y S H I T, did she just say that?

  • @VyckRo thats what a troll would say

  • @theUKatheist - This VyckRo twat banned me for telling the truth on his video. Now he's here talking shit on yours.

  • @Christheatheist1 don't let him get to you, he's a douchebag troll.

  • @theUKatheist - Yes, he certainly is.

  • Dam. i gotta smoke with this bitch.

  • She's grasping at straws. She said two truths. Educated people shun religion (and god(s)).

Also, most conflicts in the world involve religion. Rational thinking (atheism) is the fastest growing 'group' in western nations with the possible exception of the USA. They are deeply infected with the religion/god virus but with education it may start to die there too as it has in Europe and Canada. Religion is the most dangerous fiction ever invented.

  • Both.

  • @CarsMutley1995 the guy you had this conversation with was an imposter. notice the i & e are the wrong way around, he has now been blocked.

  • @dan91709 the guy you had this conversation with was an imposter. notice the i & e are the wrong way around, he has now been blocked.

  • @theUKatheist Did you delete the conversation? If so, I don't blame you at all. One can only conclude that some anti-rational faith bunny thinks nothing of perpetrating fraud. Thank you for blocking the idiot, whoever s/he is.

  • @dan91709 yes i did delete the conversation and block him/her, i dont like censorship but when they pretend to be me thats going over the line. s/he did it on several other videos as well blatantly pretending to be me. its an all new low for theists.

  • @theUKatheist I don't think it's censorship. Its only reasonable to remove an impostor's comments. I'm not sure its a new low. I've noticed that many theists think nothing of the evil that they do. Violence perpetrated by hateful christians is common - and fraud even more so. A perfect example is the statement from the christian on the above video you posted. She said "Most studies show that Atheists die first." (in plane crashes?) There are no such studies. The statement is fraudulent. :-/

  • @dancingnancy09 the guy you had this conversation with was an imposter. notice the i & e are the wrong way around, he has now been blocked.

  • @theUKatheist pardon the pun- but jesus christ!! just when you think they cant get any worse they manage it! yes talk about a new low and a pathetically desperate one at that! shame on me for not noticing! but it all did seem a bit out of place-didnt sound like you at all! thank you for fixing that up!

  • @dancingnancy09 not a problem. personally i dont see the point in posing as me, do they really have nothing better to do?

at least that has given me some ammo for the question "what is the most ridiculous thing a theist has done or said on youtube"

thank you for understanding, it's a new low indeed.

  • @theUKatheist I have a theory- they know that relgion is slowly dying in society-if you look at the the first thing he said to me-'she is correct on the stats'-completely untrue as my family history demonstrated-and then-as offered an opinion deliberatly wanting me to believe it was you with hope that I may be influenced to think the same way- theists are resorting to deliberate decption and misinformation to save dying religions

  • @dancingnancy09 i totally agree with you.

  • NOTE: anyone speaking to "theUKathiest" please not it is an imposter .. notice the i & e are the wrong way around. i have now blocked this user ( their account was created this month ) which now does not show at all.

to clarify , it may not have been me who you were speaking too, some theists are sinking to a new low.

  • Lol blondes

  • That has to be one of the most idiotic comments I've heard in avery long time. She should really think before opening her piehole.

  • I wanna know where this fucking retard of a woman got her degree.

  • Yep...we atheists just say "ahhh... fuck it"... no, rather we would be thinking of logical ways to help ourselves out of situations, not sitting in one spot whispering to yourself and hoping for help...makes perfect sense

  • One more tick on my scoresheet in the category of "psychology is not a real science." The psychologists doing real science better pick up the pace, or they'll lose to word leaking cavernous enclosures like this one.

  • my left ear is lonely

  • oh my god, what an idiot, everybody dies at the same rate, regardless of what god you do or dont believe in, I think she';s super naturally stupid in the head.

  • I would still shaft her though.. since she needs the supernatural she might be onto my ectoplasm. ;)

  • Theist playbook pg1; When faced with facts, make up some BS.

Pg38; When faced with dwindling attendance numbers, see page 1.

  • she has read one too many Superman comics

  • She's got those "crazy eyes" when she makes up her ridiculous tripe about "atheists die first."

(face palm) What a load of crap.

She is right about one thing. The better educated (and smart) you are, the less likely you are to fall for her ridiculous stupidity.

  • Perhaps the reason that more atheistic countries have a longer life expectancy is that atheists tend to be better educated, and can afford better health care. It has nothing to do with actual belief itself, just the standard of living and health care in a country. My grandmother was extremely religious, and died after a very long and painful battle with cancer at 60.

  • Atheists die first because after having listened to this heehaw from the jackass with a human looking head, we want to kiss a pistol goodnight. Anyway, this story sounds a lot more real than the talking jackass in Numbers. AAAaawwwgh! People! Wake up! Jackasses that talk like humans? NOT real. Humans who talk like Jackasses? VERY REAL! (beware)

  • @TheGreatestSage Fucking troll. I'll give you a little of the attention you lack in real life. "I'm not religious, but..." Only a hypocritical twat puts a 'but' on that first statement. Are you telling me, if you caughts AIDS, from butt sex with your father, you would pray instead of going to the doctor? No. You would give your dad the bad news, head straight for the clinic and hope no one finds out your dirty little secret. Now, STFU!

  • ???

  • I'm human, not superman. WTF is she on about us needing supernatural abilities to live? Give that woman a proper education.

  • @IAmMrWonder -What are you talking about. Atheists say they do not know how the universe or life came into being and that is why we built the large Hadron Collider and Hadron 2 to answer some of these questions. It is you religious people that not only claim to have some knowledge beyond our understanding but actually say if we do not agree with you we will spend eternity burning in fire. "Infinite voice of truth", would this be the voice you can hear but we can't? How fucking arrogant are YOU!

  • You *wish* atheists died first, you superstitious moron.

  • Lmfao! I wouldn't waste my time praying to feel better.....I'd go to a doctor.

  • @TheGreatestSage for love to unite the world you would need the brain chemistry of every person in the world to be altered the same way at the same time. is the world united now? no... will it ever be? unlikely...

  • @TheGreatestSage Love can change the world? Be serious... What kind of love are you talking about? No ambiguous bullshit. And I'm not an atheist. Want to have a serious conversation or insult me?

  • I live in Japan. 65-70% atheist. 5th highest atheist population percentage in the world. Contrary to this bright young woman's presentation: the Japanese enjoy the world's longest average life expectancy. Hmm..

  • Atheists live longer, we dont have any stress if we are going to hell or not...

  • Surely she is an Atheist troll. Has to be. If only she supported her argument with:

'Look at Christopher Hitchens. An Atheist and died at 62, now look at Fred Phelps a Christian and 82 years old and still going.'

  • I think she meant to say only stupid people are religious, because that's what it sounded like. lol

  • Is sg

  • She's fit, now leave her alone.

  • @Escuelavieja100 - so her 'fitness' allieviates her from her stupidity?

  • @TheGreatestSage "love has the power to unite the world" and you know this how?

  • @TheGreatestSage Are you saying you "know" love has a supernatural quality? Sounds a little arrogant to me.

  • @IAmMrWonder The infinite voice of truth has, in it's infinite wisdom, turned my hearing aid off! You make it too easy for me to be a "pompous slob".

  • WTF? That makes no god damn sense at all!

  • @IAmMrWonder Well you have to pick one asshat. Either you believe in an imaginary sky dictator or you are a sane rational person.

  • I am smarter then people two or even three times my age with regards to religion.

Grown ass adults with an imaginary fucking friend.

What a God damned world huh?

  • She may have a point. I felt a pain in my chest when the theist bitch said atheists die first.

  • @EatMAndSml LMAO. Yes, we all die a little inside when these morons show us just how god damn stupid humans can be

  • Why does she make a silly unfounded assertion like that.

    What a silly tart.

  • Very very sad! Doh!

  • Science doesn't know everything but religion knows nothing.

  • In the words of Homer Simpson.....doh!

What a deluded idiot! Even if all atheists were proven to die 20 years earlier on average than theists, it still would prove f**k all! Twat :)

  • @TheGreatestSage

""How do you define love? Sure, call it nothing but "brain chemistry" but it has the power to unite the world. "

    and ??

"Are you arrogant enough to say that its supernatural quality is random bullshit?"

it has no supernatural quality as it is caused by natural chemical reactions. you misunderstand "supernatural"

"how I wish I knew everything like you"

actually we are happy to say we dont know, its you claiming you know "god dun it derpa derp"

    that makes you pompous, right?

  • @TheGreatestSage

    you have no channel;

    obvious troll

    disrespectful

    idiotic

    blocked

    byeeee :)

  • If you hit her head with a hammer, gears and springs would pop out all over the place.

  • A strange psychologist she who is unaware of well-known psychological studies. Here is one I just grabbed off Google among many: "Jul 15, 2005 – Praying for patients undergoing heart operations does not improve their outcomes, a US study suggests."

  • why would you need supernatural powers to survive and why would simply believing you do help you survive? xD

  • 0:52 'based on census data from the lasSt 100 years'

    idiots cant even spell

  • "Traditional religions tend to fall away as people become more educated"

Well that does it, we should cancel all schools!!!

  • @2Addicted2YT exactly.

  • Is she a scientologist? The way she talks about getting 'supernatural powers'...

  • I got a higher power for her

  • what a tool, and she is psychologist?

  • fuckwits!

  • So... believers live longer because believing in the supernatural gives you supernatural powers?!

Damn, if believing in Jesus allows me to turn water into wine - sign me up!

  • This woman fails on every level.

Sweden is about 80% atheist and they have the 8th longest life expectancy in the world.

The US is 85% theist and we're 36th with regard to life expectancy.

In fact the top 10 countries with regards to life expectancy are all more atheistic than the US.

  • @pandstar we are at number 20 but the atheist vs life expectancy scale actually works out. the more atheistic the country the better life expectancy, better health and lesser crime rate.

  • @pandstar She is actually referring to survivors, not life expectancy. It is true that if one person expects to be rescued by a supernatural power, they'd be less stressed and would be more likely to survive. Seeing as how an atheist would be stressing about how to save himself.

  • @examinationboard you are confused

1 - when in a crisis atheists can have hope, which would do the same job as "believing a higher power will magically save them" we just cut out the nonsense and hope for help.

2 - you are suggesting that we do not value our lives, we beleive we get one shot, thre is no higher power, we will fight to survive in a crisis, trust me, theists have no advantage there.

3 - we dont waste time praying, we think and act to get out of the situation.

    fail for theists.

  • @theUKatheist Actually no, i'm not. In a life and death situation a theist would be more relaxed as they think God will be doing some of the work, where as an atheist would be stressing. This is what she's referring to, the likelihood of survival. An atheist may think about survival techniques more so i'm not too sure what her position is on that. "you are suggesting that we do not value our lives"

There is actually no suggestions in the comment. I know i give my own life purpose.

  • @examinationboard

" as they think God will be doing some of the work,"

you think that is a good thing? hmmm

    "an atheist would be stressing"

yes stressing on how to get out of the bad situation, which would save us.

1- thinking/stressing on a way out of the situation

    2- thinking god will help?

are you seriously suggesting thinking god would help is better? of course not.

3 - it seems you are suggesting that a theist would not stress? they fear they haven't been "good" so fear death

  • @theUKatheist continued

so basically it makes no difference if you are an atheist or theist in a dangerous situation , both would fear for their lives, but atheists would try and help the situation not just pray for help. you seem to think that praying is better than dealing with the situation? really?

atheists can hope, theists can pray.

atheists will not waste time praying, theists will.

atheists will not expect magical help, theists will.

id be happier with an atheist in that situation.

  • @theUKatheist "you think that is a good thing? hmmm"

"are you seriously suggesting thinking god would help is better? of course not."

You seem to have based most of your reply on false assumptions. I'm not a theist trying to glorify this woman's words, i'm an atheist simply here to reiterate her contention. She means a theist would be less stressed meaning they could think more clearly at the time. Argue this all you like, i'm not interested.

  • @examinationboard said "She means a theist would be less stressed meaning they could think more clearly at the time."

There's eustress and distress. Or good and bad stress. “It is how people respond to stress that determines whether they will profit from misfortune or be miserable.” – Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi

"Good stress can actually inspire a person to achieve a goal, become more confident or stronger physically…if it is approached in a sensible manner." -healthreviser com

  • This crazy lady is wrong. Science does have the answer to everything for which there is a valid question.

  • At first you think its a joke and then you realise no its just CNN

  • Double facepalm...

  • She is taking a 1995 study published in the journal Psychosomatic Medicine, out of context, and the basic math she uses for her conclusion is also wrong.

If we still allow her to take the study out of context, but corrected the math, there is no statistical difference between those of faith and of no faith.

  • Had to be a blonde... Fuck man she's a trained moron!
