but a person with talent can maybe practice for just 1 hour a day and be much better than the average person who practices 5 hours a day. now imagine if that talented person started playing 5+ hours a day, that's when greatness is achieved.

I agree with you, practise is important, but it doesnt mutter how much you practise, if you dont have the natural talent you will get nowhere, and teh same way, if you have the menuhin gift, but you dont practise ( I mean cultivate it) you also will get nowhere so thats why teh rith mixture makes the master
