  • awsome video.

  • 1/8 mile is much safer and more fun. Try it in a fast car, you will understand.

  • good grief........there is no room for error on this tight track

  • gas peddle > foot off clutch > gas > BRAKE

  • 1/8 mile drags espicaly bracket racing in that distance is catching on, it fine tunes the drivers reaction time also the crew has more of a challenge to make the car alot quicker off the line.

has anyone seen the 4 and 6 lane drag tracks?

  • Holy shit, not much room to slow down! Brakes better be as good as the engine.

  • 1/8 mile racing is more economical for this class from a team owners' perspective;

less wear and tear on the power train. It also requires the driver be more so on his/her game, most 1/8 races are won or lost at the starting line....

  • i'll bet there ain't no piece of shit v-10 in that viper or an actual viper part on the whole car!!

  • @rodman23t You are absolutely right! Jerry Bickel chassis, 854 c.i. Charley Buck engine and a 4 speed Lenco at the time of this vid. I believe he runs a 864 c .i. Sonny's now....

  • @rodman23t Probably not, you'd never get the V10 to do that.

  • holy crap i didnt think they were gonna be able to stop lol

  • Always a thrill...

  • 187 in 3 seconds...

  • @matthewrockslol22 closer to 4 seconds but still impressive

  • @TheSmoonge just the thought of 180+ in 3 seconds bottles my mind,

  • I would give up everything I have to wheel a Pro Mod.

  • May I ask what happen to the drag race? but sometime it on my uk Tv but it is stop carry on or anyone know why? just make sure, thank you

  • notice the cow at the end of the strip, rushing down the paddock probably to get an autograph! :DDD

  • Do you really want to be at a place loud and annoying, smelly and polluting?

  • John Coltrane

  • looks like the bat-mobile

  • This is wild looking>> something out of Hades or "something wild"---Rocket speed.

  • frame 1:14 1:17 black car cheeting

  • @Bac8ardi how do you say that is cheating. he was cleaning the carb out.

  • Is it all 1/8 mile now at the professional level? Do they do 1/4 anymore?

  • @MoPar7055 NHRA still does 1/4 mile Pro Mods. I believe the Northeast Pro Mod Association does as well

  • @techrat77 IHRA RUNS 1/4 MILE

  • 1/8 of a mile aint shit run the 1/2 then I will be impressed!!

  • I dont understand why people like 1/4 mile so much on average the cars only gain an extra 50mph in the second half of the track

  • that is a really short shut down area

  • cars are bad but 1/8 mile racing sucks

  • well i have seen imports doing the real numbers at da 1/4 mile not 1/8 of a mile, steph papadakis did 6 seconds flat with a 6 cyl.honda not a v10 like this viper so go figure.

  • @1974milingo there aint no honda doin 6 flat high 6s yea not 6 flat

  • this car runs low 6s in 1/4 ive seen it go teens and 6 os

  • I was gonna say that looks like an 1/8th mile drag...

  • that track is scary short

  • 1/8 miles are really point less.. if they dont have the the space for 1320 feet go build a new track! there is not one track that i can think of withn 300 miles of me that is 1/8 mile kinda getting dissapointed with all these 1/8 mile vids.....8(

  • Come on guys...even if it is an 1/8, look at that mph...you dont see any type of imports making those numbers

  • @harlon2u yea but you dont see pro mod cars on the street do you

  • @r33skyline4life Are we changing the subject street cars now? Go check out Larry Larson....He drove over 2000 miles (not just 5-6 miles) AND won Americas fastest street car. Again, lets see the fastest "street" import turn the times or do what he did as well :-)

  • @harlon2u mate dont be stupid we have the fastes street leagl car in the world in england 2000hp vaxul victor so dont tell me shit you shit bag

  • @r33skyline4life "Street legal" and "street driven" are two different things. Just because it has a license plate does not make it a street car. Larry Larson's car IS street driven for thousands of miles. Never heard of a vaxul victor either. And lastly, does it irritate you so much that jealousy makes you call people shit bag?

  • @r33skyline4life "Update" I found the english car that you mentioned here on youtube. Impressive car but it only runs mid 7's in the 1/4 mile. That makes it the 2ND fastest car in the world..... Larry Larson runs 6.90's So who is the shit bag now?

  • @harlon2u ok fare play mate larry larson hows a awsome car didnt no o well cheers shit bag

  • @harlon2u yes

  • @harlon2u its a fucking funny car...

  • lmao almost got me i thought someone was about to be killed lmao

  • I thought it was fake at first but then i noticed that i was on a 1/8 mile track lol .

It had me for a second .

  • 1/8th mile.....

    weak sauce

she goes fast thats for sure...but cmon!!!! get that 1/4 in there!!

  • depends on the driver bracket race is a race reguardless of distance plus thats a small track they have zero stop time

  • what the hell?? Who does NOT do 1/4mile drags? Kinda pointless really lol

  • i see that car running a 7+ on 1/4 mile..

  • LETS SEE IT ON A 1/4 MILE!!

  • is it 1/8th?

  • i fink it is 1/8 lol but if not that's either faster than a TF car which i dnt see happening or its a short track lol.

  • 1/8th is crap.

  • That's not 1/4 mile.

  • Four words...

    HOLY CRAP, THAT'S QUICK!

  • So quick it looks fake lol

  • Zironi7 you are right, In Etown 2 weeks ago a few P/M teams told me that the ADRL cars are much lighter than the NHRA & IHRA P/M cars & they allow screwblowers .....So if the ADRL frontrunners came over to NHRA or IHRA they would not fair well....except for the teams that run NHRA & ADRL ( Al-Anabi team ) BUT for the scruggs & other ADRL ONLY cars they would not come close to a 5 second pass in NHRA or IHRA trim....These racers actually admit it when you ask them ( Scruggs , Carpenter ,ETC.)

  • The Biggest lie ever told....The ADRL cars cant last a 1/4mile thats why they run 1/8th mile....2 many teams said they would never run the 1/4mile cause its harder on there parts PLUS they ALL AGREE that after the 1/8th mile its even harder to keep these cars glued to the track....SO how the hell is the ADRL tougher? The NHRA & IHRA are far more tougher everyone knows that....Plus if the ADRL cars ran NHRA or IHRA they would not do good without there paperlight cars & screwblowers.

  • lol. my dad owns an adrl pro nitrous car. and i think you are a complete dumbass and you know nothing. NHRA is way to picky with their rules. And when you have the millions of dollars it takes to operate a winning then you can talk. you piece of shit

  • I'm in total 100% agreement with zironi7,Flexfuel & some others here. 1/4mile racing has holeshot wins ALL the time So to say you have to cut a goodlight in 1/8th mile is pointless because you have to cut a good light in the 1320 as well as 660ft.While @ Etown 2 weeks ago A NHRA P/M racer told me that his 2 friends run ADRL P/M ONLY but they hate it because its ONLY 1/8th mile BUT he said they cant afford to run NHRA P/M & IHRA has pissed all the racers off so they run ADRL.

  • 1/8th mile is more xciting cause its closer? thats retarded & if you have to cut a dragstrip IN HALF to have a close race then there is NO RACE!!!!...these cars R 2 fast to run 660ft....its nothing there & its lame as hell....and when I make millions I can decide who the 1/8th is for?.....Thats retarded & irrevalent.....A Fullblown racecar should NOT run on a junior dragsters tracklength!!!!!!!

  • well when you make millions you can decide who the eighth mile belongs to

  • Yeah the 1/8th mile should be for junior dragsters ONLY!!!!!! It sucks not having top end charge in a race.....1 P/M racer told me he dont race 1/8th mile anymore because its nothing there....he said its over too quick & he knows it has to SUCK for the fans watching......I agree with him

  • Well NHRA & IHRA have holeshot wins ALL the time montecarlo.....Its not justified to ONLY run halftrack to try n have a photo finish , if thats the case just run 330ft so that nobody gets whipped to bad.......1/8th mile sucks & the ONLY way I would go again is if its FREE & close to my house....I Aint driving no more than 1 hour 30 minutes to watch some halftrack racing....NHRA, IHRA , ShakeDown @Etown & NorthEastOutLaw ProMods is where its at ..ALL 1/4mile RACING.

  • eighth mile racing is way more exciting. because one the races are closer. two you actually have to cut a good light cause you dont have as much racetrack to work with

  • whoa'

  • Wow, 1/8th mile blows. Shutting off at half track sucks.
