Actually, Burj al Arab is sadly not the tallest hotel in the world anymore. It is beaten by two other hotel-only buildings. The Burj al Arab is 1,053 ft with 60 floors total, the Ryugyong Hotel in Pyongyang is 1,083 ft with 105 floors total, and the tallest hotel in the world now, as of 2007, is the Rose Rotana Tower in Dubai which is 1,093 ft with 72 floors. As to which is my favorite of the three, Rose is pretty cool looking, but Burj al Arab takes the top!
