@hiphopuithethart You would be surprised my friend, I have a 2002 excurision 7.3 turbo diesel and it gets around 19 mpg....although I did put a mileage chip to help just a tad, but stock it was still very good. Everyone I know thinks exactly like you but are very surprised when I tell them :)

mine sound exactley the same . i have the same engine. If you put that piece on that your talking about it won't sound as good . I seen someone else cut the muffler off like mine and took the pipe all the way to the back and it made it sound less attractive compared to the way it sounds when you got a short pipe under there.

My stock 03 6.0L F-250's turbo screams stock and make people look around alot. 03-early 04 had a 10 vane turbo versus late 04-07 with the 13 vane turbo. The 10 vane is much louder! 13 vane just wisps or wispers if you will.

You ought to angle the turn down out to the side as far as you can without anything being in its path. Aiming it straight down will likely make it resonate way more than you'd want it to, and going down the highway for long periods of time would surely give you (or your mom) a nice headache.
