i just started wakeboarding late last summer, but the boat is not a ski boat its just a normal speedboat and i think it doesnt make a big enough wake, the engine is 145 hp. does this make a difference?? or every boat produces da same wake? any feedback would be massively helpful, thanks :)

Thank you for this video. I am just trying wakeboarding for the first time. I am a past surfer and downhill skier and any help is great, as neither of these involve being pulled by a boat. I tried water skiing a couple of times and did not even begin to enjoy it. This was a very professional video.

does anyone know if wakeskate sizeing is the same as wakeboard sizing... i ride a 42in wakeboard and have for 4 years and found some wakeskates for pretty cheap and am lookin to get into it... any advice would be great

you ride a really small wakeboard so it'd probably be about the same but you may want to look into a bigger wakeboard like a 54in (136cm) or so you'll see a difference in your riding

actually its a 140cm... srry got that wrong... i weigh 200lbs so its supposed to be the right size ( bought it from the local shop... thats what the salesman said) so its plenty big... just kinda lookin for a wakeskate just to do something new

I edge in get my pop then spin backside. I land with the rope behind my back. I dont pass on a backside 180 but I do on 360. hope that helps.

First, make sure your driver is doing things properly. He needs to go VERY slow till the rope is fully tensioned.

Here some people say nail it, Some people say go slower for new riders. Personally I go half throttle then adjust as needed if the rider gets up.

Once you feel the hard tug on the rope put pressure on your FRONT foot. then stand using your legs. DO NOT pull yourself up with the rope or you WILL fall down.

Also try removing the larger center fins on the board. Makes it easier.

for the new board it depends on how much you weigh, there are differnt size charts but also just try your local skate shop or look into a CWB Faze pretty cheap and good for beginners

Im an older water skier and im used to the ski coming off when you fall. How do those bindings work when you fall? Does the wakeboard stay on your feet and if so doesnt that make injury more likely. I ordered a wakeboard and waiting for delivery!!! Thanks for the video.

if you dont have them too tight and you have a pretty good wreck you'll come out of the bindings. but on small stuff the board will stay on. and yes it does increase the chance of injury if they don't realease. but on the small falls and stuff you should have nothing to worry about.
