If there is not a pastor in the home church then elder rule has been abandoned. You don't have a biblical church without biblical leadership. Dismissing elder rule reflects is a misguided hunger for truth. Bad elders do not equal biblical leadership, there we agree.
Yeah that sounds great but you don't need to forsake pastoral leadership to do it. The organic model is rogue and has little to zero elder rule and so 20 years from now this will be commonly known as a cult.
- This is a strech to suggest that Neil is promoting abandoning pastoral leadership and eldership ministry. Pastoral leadership has been rife with cultish attributes as well (i.e. jim jones, david koresh, etc.). The bottom line is that our hunger for truth has got to be greater than our fear of of deception.
Right on...it's "Church" and "ministry" according to Galatians 1:1 ! This approach avoids all of the conflicts of interest "career, business modelled ministry" is rifed with.
Neil, love your wonderful healing voice. I have taken your advise. I have something wonderful to give you back. See the clip the Real Christos Coin Youtube.

Agreed, there are 4 books I can think of that EVERY follower of Jesus should read at some point in their life. 1. Bible 2. The Pilgrim's Progress 3. Screwtape Letter's 4. Pagan Christianity.
Neil- Next time, record a little farther from the airport! Interesting concept, but maybe a bit foreign to what many people are used to. Have a church member right now pushing this at a local church and due to his poor communication skills it's creating much conflict and misunderstanding. One fear may be that many of the 'baby' Christians will wither and die vs. growing in time and with effort of others to nurture.
yor views are excellent. Becasue most leaders focused on buildings rather than discipleship, Christians knew not how to make disciples in a msall group. This the great ommission of the commission in our time. Thanks for sharing this Pastor Neil.
Church Planter, author... and on his days off... one of the actors from the series:

I wish you had filmed this when/where there wasn't a loud plane flying around in the background.

Great view on church planting. We are on a way of changing our traditional church ministry into the organic principles of the Kingdom of God.
