Root problem=overbreeding. I own a PMU baby simply bred for his mother's urine, but he has poor feet and conformation, ewe necked and slighlty cow hocked. I love my horse, but not all PMU babies are as lucky (and he is a registered QH!). Keep in mind when you watch these videos that the long term problem is mainly due to too many horses in circulation! Rescues are full! Do not support irresponsible breeders!
@94broncoxlt I somewhat agree with you. However, what do you make of all the foals born from artificial insemination to females in order to produce urine for post menopausal symptoms??? Inhumane slaughter is wrong. But stop & think...most pictures portray slaughter horses in horrid condition - suffering. Humane slaughter has it's place. Each state is giving breeders subsidies, google it, Horse Racing Subsidies, so if we can put a stop to funding our money into the breeders pockets, we might can stop the excessive horses.....but also, make if harder for AG to fund small backyard breeders as well.
