In the very early forms of the mass, there was an exchange of peace -in the 'foremass'; the much longer Pentitential Rite, which included Confession of Sin & Absolution. THEN the mass began.
Handshaking & clapping is intentional - to distract from God.

@SZYGY7 Many ppl, while aware of Truth on some level, rationalize their Denial & sins. Denial is critical to shutting off the HS, as the level of rationalization grows, so too Denial. They are complimentary. They think: 'the Church says X, so I will do X'; never thinking it through.
"If I have all Faith (i,e, external practices, knowledge of doctrines) but nor Charity, I am a sounding brass; a tinkling cymbal..." One cannot claim to know/love God & not his brother.

@19lfm12 That's exactly it.Since denial is a refusal to accept the revealed Truth,remaining in that state is blocking GOD's Holy Spirit from working in that soul.The remedy?Read thoroughly what Jesus says in scripture(the work of the HS),live the gospel honestly,live by faith(NOT by theological argument),internal piety (rather than external displays), and regular Confession to cleanse the soul and respectful worship at Mass,especially in receiving the Eucharist.

@SZYGY7 True - though at present, Opus Dei has literally made the reception of valid Eucharist a mathematical impossibility (or uncertainty, at best). Confession is now non-existent, as the churches are locked up tight & 'father is never in'. UNLESS...you go to an OD priest, as they (literally) are the ONLY priests now offering Confession.
BUT God always wins. One may make a Spiritual Communion anytime, free! God forgives sins if you ask Him to. But you must WANT His mercy & forgiveness..

@19lfm12 So many good people have walked away and are separated from Jesus.The one common factor behind it all,down through the ages:the Vatican administration.It has always been a battleground between good and evil.This papacy may belong to lucifer but will disappear in GOD'S justice.The writings of b16 are cleverly written to appear faithful but anyone guided by the HS will see through it.The Vatican is like a shiny apple with a rotten core.

Some of the most evil priests I have met have had advanced degrees in Theology; they know how to twist things to SEEM good. Knowing that most ppl are clueless. Ditto for Canon Lawyers....the sleaziest lawyers on earth, as they know exactly how much they can get away with.

@19lfm12 The wisdom of the parables is astonishing.The 4 different possible responses to the Gospel message are expertly and ingeniously elucidated in the Parable of the Sower(Matthew chpt 13).Nowhere else do you find such wisdom and such clarity.I spent some years comparing / contrasting different belief systems from Lao Tzu to Zoroastrianism.Only in Jesus and the HS have I found the Truth. "He is the Way,the Truth and the Life" is the law of salvation for all souls from start to end of time.

Those 4 responses to the Sower are expressed in how ppl react & also to stages of response. One can first respond as the seed fallen on rocks, but with repeated seeding, gradually become 'fertile ground' via the action of the HS. BUT...you must WANT to be fertile; be WILLING.
Once you are willing to listen, the Ph of your soil is changed:)

@MORKOS621 The prefect illustration of that is the Good Samaritan. The Priest & the 'Doctor of the Law' (Bishop) remain willfully Blind to the bleeding man on the road, avoiding him. Not only Blind to his pain, but not wanting to risk ritual defilement of themselves - external piety uber alles.
Yet a non-believer/pagan (Samaritan) who has imbibed the Gospel without ever hearing it, helps the man - expending his time & $ to see to his healing.

Rather then do anything of material substance to HELP to women in crisis pregnancy (enable them to keep the child), much less pray for them in humility.....they rant, rave, scream, humiliate them. Forming groups which promote Fanaticism & hatred.
Perhaps if they showed MERCY to these women, providing unlimited material assistance, fewer abortions would occur.

@SZYGY7 Martin is a mixed bag, who had links to Opus Dei. BUT...as in this, he speaks truth! You have to read/listen to him very carefully, as the truth may actually be in subtext (or reverse speech). If you sift through what he says, much is revealed. He was linked to intelligence, so proceed with caution. Yet, truth can always be found in such a person, as ultimately (via God) they will subconsciously let it slip out.
What he says here is 100% true!

@SZYGY7 Please understand: I am not discrediting what Martin says. Just pointing out that such a man,no matter how honest, is placed in a double-bind. He can only say so much, before he places his life in jeopardy. One problem with him is that he got linked to ultra-traditionalism, which of itself is a type of Blindness.
He IS correct in this about Fatima. And very likely correct in his assertion of a dedication of the Vatican to lucifer.....

@19lfm12 Actually my point is simply this:Many priests,good and bad ones, knew that satanic infiltration was taking place.Martin,regardless of anything else,seemed to see this and pointed it out.I believe an exorcist,a Fr Amorth in recent years said that satan was in the Vatican.

Good priests know it's true & that they can do nothing about it, except pray & offer personal sacrifices for souls. The bad priests, who are the vast majority, know it too - & enable it by their deeds. Plus agendas assigned to them...like intentionally ruining parishes, etc.

While he never directly mentioned OD (that I recall), if you read between the lines they are there in those 'servants of satan' he alludes to. Of course they come in both Left & Right wing versions, as OD loves to use the Strategy of Tension...& Plausible Deniability:)

@MORKOS621 We are not referring to the morality of a priest; but to the intentional & conscious projection of the validating sacramental intention over the elements. ONLY by this does the HS work through the priest (as a vessel) to confect Transubstantiation. The HS does it; not the priest - but he must cooperate with the HS. It ONLY works this way. He must INTEND to do this.
If a priest does not INTEND to absolve you of your sins, there is NO absolution.

Christ, His Gospel & the true 'Keys" existed centuries before the Imperial Papacy & Vatican was confected. The hundreds of thousands of Roman martyrs knew NOTHING of the latter!

@MORKOS621 The 'Keys' to the Kingdom of Heaven are the Gospel itself; Jesus' teaching. Understand & live it, & you gain entrance to the Kingdom - now, in Time. The Kingdom is a spiritual family of all who believe in Him & do what He taught.
The Kingdom is NOT the Vatican, as it neither believes in Him, nor does it do as He taught; & remains DEAF to the HS.
Those who are of the Kingdom are those who are sincere & love others without thought of reward.

It is not of God. It neither know Him, fears Him, nor serves Him.
