  • POwered By Dodge. MOPAR OR NO CAR!

  • your aware its a Plymouth??

and its supposed to be a AAR Cuda but yeah thats a 72-74

  • @dodgechargerdaytona thats a 70

  • google 1970 Cuda, then google 1972 Cuda. look closely at the tail lights, then the grilles...then come back to jonscuda's videos and look closely at his car. go on...im waiting to show you how stupid you are.

  • wtf u guys on about??? it may well have a 440 in it... but would make it non numbers matching. tossers

  • Ok dweebs prepare to be owned. if u payed attention to the video instead of arguing u would have realized that this is no 426 or 440cuda. the stripes and the logo on the quarter panels mean its an AAR cuda. AAR was plymouths transam name for the cuda. in the transam series the biggest engine in the cuda was a 340, not a 426 or 440. If this is stock (which idk) it is a 340 6 barrel. and hemi refers to the combustion chamber not the direction of the pistons!

  • If YOU payed attention that is a 72-74 Cuda, meaning that it is not a real AAR. P.S. look at the grill, only 72-74 had the slits in the middle piece.

  • nice 440 hemi sick power thats what my bro said and he liked the lime green on the cuda

  • @weridpeople147 its a 340, not a 440

  • Thanks for the info. I had looked up hemispherical and wondered what the hell that had to do with piston travel...

  • Blimey! Who built that engine? Sounds awesome!

  • that my friend is a 440 hemi sick power plant that is

  • I'm sorry, but maybe you could direct me to where you heard about this non existant 440 Hemi? The largest Hemi of the 'Cuda days was the 426. They had a 440 CI Sixpack, but no hemi. Get you're facts straight.

  • that was the only size hemi wasnt it?

  • No, definitely not. Chrysler had a ton of different Hemi engines, as did other manufacturers. The 426 is just the most recognized, as it was THE performance package that Chrysler offered, before the 440 Six Pack.

Hell, the first Hemi Engines were from Before WWII used in fighter planes. The first Hemi that Chrysler put into a car was the FirePower engine in the 50's.

  • Isn't the definition of a Hemi the travel of the pistons? If I'm not mistaken Hemi's travel is straight up and down as opposed to a V-8 which obviously travel in a V pattern

  • No, taken from Wikipedia:Hemi (from "hemisphere") or "crossflow cylinder head" is a design of internal-combustion engines in which the cylinder head's combustion chamber is of hemispherical form. The term, "Hemi engine" is a trademark of Chrysler Corporation, though the concept was used by many manufacturers before them.

In a nutshell, The cylinder heads Combustion Chamber is Hemispherical, instead of the regular shape in Internal Combustion Engines.

  • No, the V in V-8 is in reference to the Cylinder pattern. A V-8 is, in essence, two slant 4's melded together, to create a V like shape. The "Hemi" refers to the Combustion chamber design. In a Hemi engine, it is of a Hemispherical shape, as opposed to the traditional layout.
