@superduperryane I'm not saying they can't conduct, I'm sure they can conduct. But it just seems more artistic and expressive when it's a man. I'm not being sexist, but it's just the way I feel about this for some reason.

When you see a woman, who looks like a woman, it just doesn't look artistic. Hard to explain. Nothing against women, just feminity doesn't look good in front of an orchestra.

This is great to watch! Thanks so much for uploading it. I'm drum major for my marching band (this wil be my third season as dm), so I found it particularly enjoyable to see one of America's greatest conductors (not to mention Composers) teach. I'm sitting here just holding my baton in awe of such an incredible artist.
