Hiked Wind Rivers in 2001 the weekend before the twin towers fell in New York.
I hiked the area around Lower Green River lake and Square Top mountain not far from Pinedale. I see nothing familiar in your pictures, so you must have hiked an area on the other side of the range.
I'll check out the Google satelitte view of the range and see if I can find where you went. I'd love to go here. Lower Green River Lake campground is at the dead-end of route 152. That one's easy to find on the google view.

probably did. we started at big sandy and hiked north, i believe. we ran into snow that was too deep and had to cut the hike short by 1 day.

Sweet. Backpacked the Tetons & Wind River in Aug '03. Wind River Range was my fave. Picture brought back memories.
