Presian's reign apparently coincides with the extension of Bulgarian control over the Slavic tribes in and around Macedonia. The Slavic peoples that settled in the region of Macedonia accepted Christianity as their own religion around the 9th century, during the reign of Tsar Boris I of Bulgaria.
They claim that they are Makedonian but not greek that is not correct because Makedonians are greeks they are slavs not greeks, In 700 AD During the 580s, Byzantine literature attests to the Slavs raiding Byzantine territories in the region of Macedonia, aided by Avars or Bulgars. Historical records document that in c.680 a group of Bulgars, Slavs and Byzantines led by a Bulgar called Kuber settled in the region of Keramisian plain, centred on the city of Bitola.
Etymology of FYROM?Name:The country's name derives from the Greek Μακεδονία (Makedonía),a kingdom (later, region) named after the ancient Makedonians. Their name, Μακεδόνες (Makedónes), derives ultimately from the ancient Greek adjective μακεδνός (makednós), meaning "tall, taper"which shares the same root as the noun μάκρος (mákros), meaning "length" in both ancient and modern Greek .
It is incredible how much Greeks desperately wants Macedonian and Serbian history. Greeks are from Egypt, just look at their faces. Macedonians are white, Europian nation. Not to mention evidewnces, 1500 of them. Sorry Greeks but you are not native on Balkan as Macedonians and Serbs are. Alexander was Macedonian and end of story!!!
Present Macedonians are Serbs and that is it...not Bulgarians, surely not Greeks but Serbs. Period. FYROM was part of Serbia since 1912, and Greek got it's part of historical Macedonia. Macednians are Slavs, and that so called "nation" was created in the middle 20t century. Like Bosnians or Montenegrins. Besides, here we don't call it Macedonia, but Old Serbia, since Skoplje was medieval capital of Serbia, and present Kosovo and Macedonia core of Serbian medieval state and national spirit.
The Greek leadership if they where smart would have taken the opportunity of the break up of Yugoslavia to incorporate the Fyrom region into Greece. Here we have a people who want to be seen as Macedonian. What Greece should have done was to promote a joint referendum in Fyrom and Greece for the rejoin to become part of Greece. Then the Greek nation would then own the birthplace of Philip and they would have no trouble calling the rejoin and it's people Macedonia and Macedonian. Everyone wins.
@AdstarAPAD People with the same heritage & culture dismantle their - peacefully created - Yugo nation through atrocities & wars & you expect us, the Greeks, by playing cheap political games...
(Btw GR can't promote ref to another country nevertheless impose the subject of such a referendum to Fyromians)
..& by omitting our recent history e.g. social, political, cultural & military 1904/08 conflicts, the Balkan wars & the WWII to annex such Slavobulgars under our Macedonian values?
@ypruss Ok I am Australian, just so you understand. There are million of Greeks in Australia and we are happy to have them here as our fellow countrymen. I have seen the passion in Greeks in Australia when this issue is mentioned. But i thought to myself. Would not people who where so passionate about their history want to have the city of Skopje and it's rejoin with links to Philip within the Greek nation? The people of the place could soon be taught Greek and the Customs.
@AdstarAPAD The Greeks are proud for their Macedonian culture & have no trouble with the term Macedonia & there is nothing Macedonian to rejoin. The GR Macedonia is already united...so no need for a political surgery in order to annex a cancer to the GR organism (Fyromians want to be seen as "Macedonians"...not Greeks). Only a long lasting "chemotherapy" acting in killing this Fyromian deception that rapidly try to steal & forge history & stop other nations encourage them in doing it
@ypruss I am sure these people of Fyrom could be won over. Lets face it Greece came into being from many different city state peoples who looked upon themselves as being different from other city states even to the point of war. So what harm would it do to absorb a new city state into Greece like Skopje? Within a generation they would be all speaking Greek and would not see any difference between being Greek or Macedonian. Indeed there is no difference Macedonia is Greek..
Greeks city states never done war based on their diversity in cultural, linguistic, religious, ethnological matters. They were common to all of that and always united (even if with different views on how to do it) to their enemies: the barbarians. Their wars were always a question of power, politics, territory. No Greek city state ever tried to assimilate other Greek city state (wasn't necessary)...Macedonians included
Now assimilation is obtained in two ways. Forcibly or peacefully. Supposing we exclude forcibly for obvious reasons and considering the peacefull way...how & why?...'it takes two to tango'...he have none here (apart the fact that nearby nations figth with their own propaganda in a Fyrom territory with, a clear, no Greek coscience, & with a clear Slavobulgar heritage, language & culture mixed with a vast maggiority of Albanians ready to explode).
But let's suppose we did it. Be sure that such a move will work as another Balkan trojan horse that sooner or later will destibilise our Macedonia (of course trough time) with their "a greater, no Greek, Macedonia" concept & with the blessings & the helping of another 'USA' country style policy (divide & conquer) will tragicly end for us in a new war & maybe kosovo. Of course time will tell but history teach us that wars come first & some kind of assimilation afterwards
The people of Macedonia and Greece have different understanding about each other. There are lots of books that say what happened and what didn't but that can be approved by someone who has studied this better, and now some bored and stupid kid thought that he can change the history. If you ask Macedonians to who does the name Macedonia belong there is not a person alive that will not tell you that its theirs. Its same with the Greek citizens they will say the same.Think about it...
@bratce4444 The people of Macedonia in Greece have the SAME EXACTLY understanding about each other i. e. Macedonia/Macedonians is/are Greece/Greeks ==> Macedonia name belong only to the real Macedonians as well as that the Fyromian propaganda and history distortion will never be tolerated by the Greeks
@QTMakGirl Is that a Fyromian man habit...you frequently experiment with your boyfriends...and want to share to the world or that useless nasty talk means that you need my attention? Anyway...nauseating attitude for first introducing your self to me...specially for a girl
@bratce4444 The Vardar Banovina or Vardar Banate or Vardarska Banovina (Serbo-Croatian: Vardarska banovina, Вардарска бановина) was a province (banovina) of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia between 1929 and 1941. It was located in the southernmost part of the country, encompassing the whole of today's Republic of Macedonia, southern parts of Central Serbia and southeastern parts of Kosovo. It was named after the Vardar River and its administrative capital was the city of Skopje. what to think about!
at 1:06 the arrow pointing at vardarska is not jugoslavs but just slavs and is in yellow like the bulgarians which means that the people in fyrom were bulgarians
For the history, in 1991 that part (macedonia) the folse one, become indepentan contry, that i why at the maps of natcional geographic from 1992 is writen as Macedonia. And to show uoy that you full do not now history that par was named macedonia after the 2nd world war but was part of yugoslavia, just like the right for you macedonia is now part of greec and is not independan.
@cristianmicalaca hahahahah. You mean Serbs and Macedonians!!!!! Boath are Darkskin nations, so they cant be from Europe. I agree that a lot of Romanians and greeks are Ex Serbs, but the color of skin cant lie.
the greeks if anything are Albanians it is true that EPRIUS is 100% albanians peopel so there GREEKS SARE ALBANIANS ,,
ALSO IN ANCIENT TIMES THERE HAS NEVER BEEN USED THE WORD GREEKS SO YOU IDIOTS ARE A FAKE PEOPLE AND COUNTRY !! ANCIENT TIMES YOU EITHER WERE MACEDONIAN , ILLYRIAN , ATHENIAN , SPARTEN OR WHAT EVER BUT NEVER WADS ANYONE CALLED GREEK !! THE WORD GREEK IS AS OF 1820 !!
@JANDAR69 I see that you continue fooling yourself with cheap fast food history remarks like: THE WORD GREEK IS AS OF 1820 etc.
Aristotle (Meteorologica I.xiv)
"...The deluge in the time of Deucalion, for instance, took place chiefly in the Greek world and in it especially about ancient Hellas, the country about Dodona and the Achelous, a river which has often changed its course. Here the Selli dwelt and those who were formerly called Graeci (in English Greeks) and now Hellenes"
@JANDAR69 Now, why Latin people mostly use this term? For 2 main reasons
1) among Latins,Aristotle was one of the most famous Greek philosophers so the term maybe somehow prevailed
2) Another theory derives the name Greek (Lt.Graeci) from Graekhos inhabitant of Graia -or Graea-(Γραία),a town of Boeotia.Greek colonists from Graia helped to found Cumae (northwest of Naples in the Italian region of Campania 900 B.C, where Latins first encountered Greeks). Name given by the colonists to all Greeks
@bronkoghma The Aristotelian system, played a great role in the Roman Catholic Church during the Middle Ages, especially in the writings of Saint Thomas Aquinas (Catholic Church's greatest theologian and philosopher) & Albertus Magnus in the 13th century, and later, during the period of the Counter-Reformation in the 16th and early 17th century, it ascended to the status of religious dogma (Council of Trent - Transubstantiation - Hylomorphism in Aristotelian philosophy)
@bronkoghma Another simple example of his influence is the Geocentric model. The reign of Aristotelian physics lasted for almost two millennia since finally discredited by the work of Galileo Galilei...being for that "vehemently suspect of heresy" by the church.
Anyway without exaggeration we all live in an Aristotelean world; wherever you see modern, Western science dominating a culture in any meaningful way (which is just about everywhere), Aristotle is there in some form.
@bronkoghma In fact, i didn't said who Aristotle is (If that's the best you could understand so far then lol as much you like with all my blessings) instead explain, plain and simple, my earlier assumption: "why among Latins,Aristotle was one of the most famous Greek philosophers" as well as his strong influence to them (e.g. Galileo's destiny) ...so to make my final consequent: that because of that such term (Meteorology-Latin translation by Gerard of Cremona 12th Cen) MAYBE SOMEHOW prevailed.
On the 12th century, in central Spain and Sicily, the combination of Muslim accumulated knowledge, Arabic-speaking scholars and the new Christian rulers made these areas intellectually, culturally and politically attractive and accessible to Latin scholars. Latin translations of the Greek literature occurred at that time from Arab. Gerard of Cremona (Toledo translators) translated the Aristotle's work Meteorology (there the word Greeks used for meaning Hellenes).
@bronkoghma simple things are, usually, even more complicated to handle for as well as complicated things are, often, simplify our lives...anyway, you welcome!
@JANDAR69 As for EPRIUS (i suppose you meant Epirus, you ignorant)...which place do you think is the "country about Dodona and the Achelous" as Aristotle said for the Greeks? Answer: Epirus!
As for the Albanians...there are in no way connected not with the Greeks but not even with the Illyrians but after all that's not the subject here my Fyromian dude.
Just a last thought...stupidity is defeated by knowledge and i told you, you better do your homeworks first but i see you don't listen
as a macedonian, this is a compliment that the greeks, serbians, bulgarians and albanians would want us so much................however,why would they assume that us macedonians could ever include them into our sphere.............the macedonian legacy will continue in us, with our pride and name and self-determination to be macedonians only.all others that have sold themselves and their name cannot be macedonian.a good macedonian.
@makedonistoi < hahahahaha "a compliment that the greeks, serbians, bulgarians and albanians would want us so much" this statement would sound more believable if you replace the last part of it with " do not want us at all " , cause as it is right now looks like the statement of a delusional psychopath who is sitting in a mental institution wearing a srayjacket.
@IArYAI this is the legacy of hatred and damage that you have left on the macedonian people and history.......my legacy will be to repair the damage.sincerely, your neighbour.
@makedonistoi Today another legacy start repairing the damage of your hatred...you Fyromian thieves!
U.S. Foreign Relations Act, 2012 - LIMITATION ON ASSISTANCE TO FYROM:
FYROM continues to utilize materials that violate the United Nations-brokered Interim Agreement between the FYROM and Greece. U.S. may not use funds that directly or indirectly promote propaganda by state controlled agencies of the FYROM or encourage acts by private entities likely to incite violence, hatred, or hostility,...
@ypruss greece, bulgaria, serbia and albania went before the european powers in 1913 with the treaty of bucharest and annexed macedonia, betraying their macedonian neighbours.why do you try to justify the rape of a nation and its people.you cant sweep us under the rug anymore.
@makedonistoi Only FYROM's state controlled agencies rape yours citizens conscience and identity with publishing and promoting (in order to transform to a nation the conglomerate you are) cheap rhetoric, propaganda and inaccurate information on the histories and geographies of Greece
FYROMIAN! Being Slavonian is not a disgrace so STOP ridiculing yourselves with calling you Macedonians & stealing our Macedonian history. Your ancestors will rise from their graves for you dishonour them so much
@makedonistoi ...including support for printing and publishing of textbooks, maps, and teaching aids that may include inaccurate in formation on the histories and geographies of Greece and FYROM.
..and of course FYROM is the only term used on the Act for your identification. What can we all say? United States foreign policy finally enters the right path...
@makedonistoi < well, another statement of a delusional psychopath. "you have left on the macedonian people" Who? Me? Left a legacy?? on you "the macedonian people" who were Bulgarian always until 1913 when Vardarska fell under serbian slavery. Burn all yugoslavian history books and relearn history so you don't have embarrass yourself like this any more.
STUPID GREEKS , PAEONIA , IS THE WHOLE OF MACEDONIA YOU IDIOTS !! ITS NOTE JUST THE VARDAR REGION ,, ANCIENT PAEONIA IS THE WHOLE ENITIRE COUNTRY MACEDONIA !!!! PAEONIA IS A MODERN WORD YOU GYPSYS ..... JUST LIKE CRETE THE AGEAN HAS BEEN UNDER GREECE FOR THE LAST 98 YEARS ......... MACEDONIA HAS ALWAYS BEEN FOR THE MACEDONIAN PEOPLE ,, WHAT HAS A GREEK GOT TO DO WITH MACEDONIANS ?? BESIDES BEEING RULED BY THE MACEDONIANS UNDER THE RULE OF KING PHILLIP II OF MACEDONIA > GREECE IS FAKE
...in such a tiny text space, so much nonsenses from you! Anyway i will gladly clarify you some, hoping that you do your homework for the remaining ones.
Paeonia comes from Peon: son of Endymion, and brother of Epeius, Aetolus, and Eurycyde went into the farthest exile possible beyond the river Axius (today FYROM) and named after him Paeonia as Pausanias wrote in his book: Description of Greece. So it's everything except a modern word or the entire Macedonia as you firmly admit.
@ypruss and Herodotus (book V) mention that Darius rejoined by asking, "Who the Paeonians were, and in what part of the world they lived? and, further, what business had brought the young men to Sardis?" Then the brothers told him they had come to put themselves under his power, and Paeonia was a country upon the river Strymon (Vardar region), and the Strymon was at no great distance from the Hellespont. The Paeonians, they said, were colonists of the Teucrians from Troy.
@JANDAR69 ...Since roman times, Paeonians, lost their identity and Paeonia was afterwards, merely, a geographic term (with the today Fyromians is start loosing even that last one). Why? Because you are slavonians (with no history) came in that region more than 1100 years after Herodotus first described Peonians in his book V (assault of the Perinthians versus the Peonians of the Strymon region).
Remember...one can can even be illiterate but please not forever! There is already a cure for that.
In commemoration of Austria-Hungary: Gott erhalte Franz den Kaiser!/Tartsa Isten, óvja Isten Királyunk s a közhazát!/Bože živi, Bože štiti Cara našeg i naš dom! Bog ohrani, Bog obvari Nam Cesarja, Avstrijo! Zachovej nám, Hospodine Císaře a naši zem!
hehehe , i read too much smart comments here !!! net is great, there, some people who dont have instruction can write all what they want ... for sure u have reason to believe in american people! they knows too much about history... and they kill the " américan people " , the indians r the the only native americans !!!
USA is bullshit too same like gaygreek country !!!
"Both Bulgarians and Macedonians (Fyromians), cannot establish a link with antiquity, as the Slavs entered the Balkans centuries after the demise of the ancient Macedonian kingdom."
macedonians arebrainwashed bulgarians from serbia and these politic regions, they used to punish who ever calls themslef bulgarian on purpose , and the r\esult is only one word , SHAME
@ZdravkoT112 If National Geographic, since 1992 and way before a clear political status was given to you, took into account that Fyromians could be called through political maps with a false identity by clearly omitting the other side, the Greek one (which from the beginning represented them as the one and only Macedonians), that is what i call a huge lie. They don't even used/use the term Fyrom just to simply keep up appearances at the time U.N. till today accept only your provisional name.
@ZdravkoT112 Last but not least the nation which National Geographic is represented (U.S.A.), politically accepted you as such (Macedonians) only 15 years later (under Bush administration)...
Of course as Slavonic tribes came in the region at the end of the 6th century today you are not Macedonians...never were. It's true that you occupy a small part 20 - 25 % of the geographical territory of the Macedonian empire (at some time in history) but surely that don't make you such.
@ZdravkoT112 That could be possible for you only if the true Macedonians (Greeks) weren't existed any more (like the Illyrians: term not contended with anyone except the Albanians) of course that's not the case and since contradictory statements cannot both at the same time be true, e.g. the two propositions Macedonia is Greek and Macedonia is not Greek are mutually exclusive. If one is true, the other is not; one of the two must be false.
@papasitoman@papasitoman As Greek Archimedes said: GIVE ME A PLACE TO STAND AND I WILL MOVE THE EARTH...
...so do i, metaphorically speaking, stand upon the Greek culture to easily move not the Spartans as Greeks but the whole today world. Now to which cultural place you stand for so to ask me such "1+1 = 2" nonsense? The Fyromians today culture? If so as Archimedes once again said i do reply to you..."Do not disturb my circles"
@ypruss A simple yes or no will do. So I ask the same question again. I don´t want supposed quotes from a man thousands of years ago. Would you consider the Spartans to have been Greek? Yes or no?
@papasitoman My above post it's simpler and more exhaustive than a simple yes or no...It's the simple answer, the explanation of this simple answer simply given plus a simple formulated question for you regarding my simple explanation and last but not least even given you a final simple answer to this last simple question just to more simplify things for you...it has to do with some kind of "circles"
@ypruss I see what you have written in other comments and how you think; it´s very sad and needlessly convoluted. While the answer can be given as a simple answer explained (as when I ask historians from the US, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Greece and even one in China), you seem to know more than them, the authors, the history channel, BBC, Discovery and the papers written by academics. So, in your case, there is no reaching you as you already know you are right, right?
b) he believes to know and so already deeply doubt of what he is going to ask for. Now at the time a) is already excluded since a Chinese already enlighten you about our history as you said...
(one from China explaining Greeks is certainly amusing ha ha ha...)
...b) remains the only option...so what's the need of your question?
@papasitoman Don't tell me! Let me guess! Isn't it because you are a good old Fyromian too that slowly (post by post) try to stand up and be counted?...otherwise you wouldn't make such a silly question about the Spartans and by that last one we are back to my first post as my final response. My advice! Take your time with my as you say "needlessly convoluted thoughts"...it's called pure logic.
@ZdravkoT112 Now since Macedonia is born and evolved in his culture, history, and conscience as another Greek tribe clearly all other suppositions are lies. Unless you feel your selfs as Greeks and as far i know that's not the case
Wow so according to these maps there are ethnic people called Yugoslavians? No Serbs or Croats? And until you liberated yourself in the 19 th century there was no such thing as Greece, in ancient times there were only city-states no greece. And Tito? Tito wanted no nationalities but Yugoslavian, do you know how many people went to Goli otok (prison) because they wanted a free Macedonia? S.V. Tempo sent many Macedonians to death because they wanted a free and United Macedonia.
@ZdravkoT112 "...in ancient times there were only city-states no greece..."
Wrong there were city-states until Philip II created and led the Hellenic League in 337 BC with capital Corinth. That's why after the battle of Granicus (334 BC). Alexander sent 300 panoplies to the temple of Pallas Athena in Athens, with the follow inscription.
"Alexander, son of Philip, and the Hellenes, except the Lacedaemonians, from the barbarians inhabiting Asia"
The best solution, to split Fyrom like before, the one half to Bulgaria and the other half to Albania. The Greeks don't get trouble with this problem Makedonia more and the problem is solved.
i am american and i understand what your saying but i am not an average american. i think my goverment is a bunch of bullshit trying to persuade us to think that its true. i am trying to get my goverment to reason and understand that take ADVICE from the PEOPLE THAT LIVE THERE!!!
@lucifer66633 thats awesome that ur not blinded like most of ur nation but the governments dont say watz going on they r controlled by corparations and banks world bank n imf, even the word president means to present not command
@asitamamasita I'm sorry to interfere but it's the opposite i.e. the word president don't mean "to present" but "to preside" from the Latin verb praesidere = "to act as head or chief"
...as for the rest you are partly right: corporations (Soros corp. in Fyrom's case) and banks (the today Greek default and world mess) played/play main role for the whole today situation. Geopolitical visions of the past (Yugoslavia dismantle) and of the future (EU dismantle - just to mention one) done the rest...
@ypruss yes u right about da meaning of da word President , but it is also a multi-meaning word. da people who create politics & governments use these kind of words or adopt from extinct languages so that they can manipulate da laws they r creating 4 their benefit. So you see I am the type of people who don't belief that the governments of powerful countries are for the people but are working for unknown people behind the curtains, so that we can be inslaved little by little till its too late.
@asitamamasita ps. this is not like the conspiracy theory but it has been used since the dawn of organized societies and its a long process full of wars for resources and capital dependence, if u look at today world bank has countries enslaved to pay interest rates so high that the country is barely making the interest payments and dont have healthcare or welfare IMF too does that and even loans to bad dictators ect. if you look at north america its the mortgage that we r enslaved too
If you want to know more about how the banks work...look my other two videos (Greek Spanish Italian subtitles for now. In the near future i will put English subs):

WAKE UP! all this started and intensified little before the grate injustice against serbia,,since serbia has been capitulated by the u.s and this grate injustice has been made solid 4 now ??evryone else around there are trying to annexe anything they can from others using the american lack of knowledge and ignorance by the int.comm,,that is allowed to continue due the many interests the u.s has in the area,, DIVIDE and rule is the ....right word,,old quarrels are been used by the int.comm-u.s ..
1st-The land of today's Makedonia was part of Bulgaria, before to European leaders split it after we free from otomans.(They don't want big Orthodox country here).People in Makedonia speak bulgarian language, and they are Bulgarians(BEFORE EUROPE TO PUT BORDER BETWEEN BULGARIANS LANDS).
2nd-Serbs wants this land, and years of komunism, makes makedonians to beleve,to they are something else, than bulgarians.
3rd-Makedonia is just a name of a region, like Trace and Misia.
@TANEVmedenRUDNIK those years of communism made them non serb, driving serbs off from there. also, majority of serbs have returned to fatherland due to poverty.
also, more than 33% was part of medieval serbian kingdom
the rest was bulgarian.
BUT,with the end of last war against ottomans serbs took macedonia from turks, while bulgarians got a big push to the south, and got its modern day shape.
but fyrom? they claim they are something else, not serbs nor bulgarians.
@TANEVmedenRUDNIK Batko . . da ti recem nesto . . Bulgaria attacked Serbia 2 times !!
Serbia Helped Bulgaria to take Jedrene , and Bulgaria attacked Serbia 29/30 july 1913 . . and then in World War . . Serbia Was fighting with Germans and Austro-hungarians, And Bulgarian army attacked Serbia from behind!!
@Vulle93 Batko...sada ya da ti recem nesto: Bulgaria attacked Serbia in 1913, because Serbia had concluded a treaty with Greece not to fulfill the Bulgarian-Serbian treaty of March 1912 according to which the so-called "non-disputed" part of Macedonia had to be given to Bulgaria.
About Odrin - the two Serb divisions were just sitting and doing nothing while the Bulgarians spilled their blood attacking the fortress. The Serbs appeared when it came time to make photos with Shukri pasha.
@Vulle93 Let me tell you that I also don`t hate Serbia and agree that history is history BUT the Serbian- Greek treaty from 1913 is a fact - it was signed on 19.05/01.06. 1913 (only two days after the London peace treaty between the Balkan alliance and Turkey).
About WW I or WW II - let`s face it: every country would do "not glorious things" if they seem advantageous for her interest. For example Turkey might complain that Serbia attacked her in 1877 when Turkey was in war with Russia.
@tyzhen I guess you're right, but we where under Turkish rule about 5 centurys and we where wait every chance to get freedom.we are also orthodox country, like Bulgaria, and war between our people is mistake.
@tyzhen The Serbian- Greek treaty mutual pact of peace & friendship with respect of the actual frontiers and with a purely DEFENSIVE character it was, yes, signed by the Greek and Serbian ambassadors on 19.05/01.06. 1913 but as a natural result of other two previous signs:
1) at 22.04/05.0.5 by koromilas (Foreign Min.) & Boskovic (Serbian ambassador). Mostly territorial & economical
@tyzhen A Treaty of London that gave nothing to nobody (Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia). It simply drawn a line on the continent of Europe to the west from Enos on the Aegean Sea to Midia on the Black Sea, with the exception of Albania between "His Majesty the Emperor of the Ottomans" ceding to their "Majesties the Allied Sovereigns" all the territories of his Empire
And i repeat Ottoman Empire & Emperor of the Ottomans since you talked about Turkey & Turks that didn't officially existed at that time
@ypruss I say Turkey and Turkish deliberately, because now days the Ottoman name of the empire is used for demagogue purposes by Ankara as an attempt to wash the hands of the Turks from the crimes that they have done for 500 years against the Balkan Christian nations as if the Ottoman empire was not Turkish by her essence, elite, etc. What existed officially at the time can`t change the practical reality.
@tyzhen And yes according to the secretly signed Bulgarian-Serbian treaty of 13 March 1912 the so-called "non-disputed" part of the today Fyrom was under Russian arbitration.
Now at the time the Treaty of San Stefano between Russia and the Ottoman Empire signed at the end of the Rus-Tur War, 1877–78 gave mostly of that "non-disputed" part to Bulgaria...at their best (max) Bulgarians believed by such a treaty they could have had those territories but they didn't count the Greek factor & the war
@ypruss Counted the Greek factor or not , a treaty is a treaty and if Serbia had a treaty with Bulgaria about the "non-disputed" zone she had to fulfill her duties. So the ostensibly defensive Serbian-Greek treaty was practically a treaty for abrogating the Serbian-Bulgarian treaty.
@tyzhen Why Greek factor? Because until then, between Greece & Serbia, there wasn't any mutual agreement. So Serbia had every right to stipulate a pact with this new Bulgarian ally. Why ally? Because contrary to Serbia, Greece, had already an agreement with Bulgaria in case of an aggression by the Ottoman empire with no reference to future boundaries and only for DEFENSIVE purposes (That's why Greece waited for the war to be started - by Montenegro - just for the record).
@tyzhen Why war? Now since the conflict was such for Serbia to create new boundaries with Greece, Serbia had any right to stipulate a mutual agreement without offending the previous one made with the Bulgarians (at the time, Greece, wasn't a Bulgarian enemy nor had Bulgaria stipulated as said before future boundaries with Greece). As for the Fyrom part already occupied by the Serbians...Bulgarians had to ask for the Russian arbitration (as their mutual agreement explained) which they didn't.
@tyzhen As for the Turkish vs Ottoman name thingy. Young-Turks had a chance to wash their hands from the ottoman empire (at that time full of ethnic, religious minorities...Greek, Armenians, Assyrians, Kurds, Alevi etc). A chance that quickly evaporated by perpetuating till today all kinds of genocides and aggressions
Anyway! As you already said, i add, that we have more things that unite us and only together we are unbeatable (for peace & prosperity) against the common enemy: Islam & the turks
@TANEVmedenRUDNIK Macedonians are Serbs... First in Macedonia lived Macedonians (in the time of Alexander the Grat), then there were Bulgarians, and now there are Serbs with language between Serban and Bulgarian... But someone told them that they are Macedonians and then problem started... But they are not Bulgarian for sure...
The ancient MACEDONS (not Hellenes) were the people who has inhabited the region of Macedonia, but after the Roman invasion and later after the collapse of the Roman Empire, caused by the massacre attacks of Goths, Huns & Avars over the regions of the survived Eastern Roman Empire (=Byzantium) as Dacia, Illiria, Macedonia, Thrace, Moesia even far to Constantinople! The result were RIVERS of BLOOD of the local people. Later ancient Bulgarian & Slavs also attacked the Balkan Peninsula,so in 512 AC
even emperor (Caesar Flavius) Anastasius 1 (Augustus) was forced to build nearly 100 km Anastasian Wall for defence of Constantinople , because the "barbarians" had killed the majority of local people on their way to the Byzantine capital! Later after 560 Slaves began to colonize the Balkans before the EYES of the greatest Byzantine Emperor (Flavius Petrus Sabbatius) Iustinianus 1 (Augustus) (527-565) who had EXHAUSTED the empire to revive ROMAN POWER over the MEDITERRANEAN, besides the Balkan
PENINSULA was sparsely inhabited by local MAcedons, Illirians, Thracians ... , SO the BYZANTINE PLAN WAS TO LET the SLAVS to POPULATE the Balkans and later to assimilate them as fresh WHITE EUROPEAN FLESH , which EVERY EMPIRE NEEDED, but the SLAVS DID brook NO INTERFERENCE to be conquered and ALSO THEY MIXED WITH THE LOCAL ILLYRIANS, THRACIANS and especially MACEDONs, LATER WITH BULGARIANS. So modern Macedonians, Tracians, or Moesians are part of BULGARIAN-SLAVIC PEOPLE for the last 1330 years!
@peelthis Yes we do because these greeks lie and deny others for there culture,They steal albanian folk and say it is greek,They steal everything from albanian because they know the things albanians have are ancient,Just like the fustenella ask a greek he will say it is greek..But before 1821 they never ever wore these,,Go ask they are theives,
@ktm066 I've told you not to make fool of your self but you don't listen. You keep spamming panic and anger off topic posts. Anyway
"...before 1821 they never ever wore these..."
Links to the modern Fustanella (Italian fustagno + -ella a diminutive form of Lt. fustis, "wooden baton" indicating perhaps cotton) involves an ancient statue dated from the 3rd century BC in Kerameikon or the statue in the Cave of Archedemos the Nympholept in Athens, (500 BC) which wears a fustanella-like garment
@ktm066 ...or with a typical hero or an Akritic warrior and can be found in 12th century finds attributed to Manuel I Komnenos and so on...
But i overpass all of this...Let's even assume that the Greek Fustanela is Greek and the Albonian is Albonian...After all they had to wear something at that times.
At the end it's not what you wear but how you wear it...and our Greek hero's show that to all of you TurkAlbo pussies.
well even know my people Albanians dont get along with you greeks to much,But it just shows what the slavnics have done to our people and homes from both greeks and albanians,I wish slavs and turks never came to our lands maybe our people would be brothers still.Anyway I like the way how serbs land grows This just shows how kosova is part of albanians land,,
@ktm066 It's true that we mostly don't get along with Albanians but who cares! We don't have to be necessarily friends to show mutual respect & communicate to each other
As for the Turks are already in Albania, having construct with their money a naval military base over there and with the pretest to training you they already sent 1000 soldiers to your land. Of course they good believe that once there (predominately Muslim country) they can have an easy play with you. Just like the Ottoman days
@ypruss they can have an easy play with you. Just like the Ottoman days. This is what makes me angry This,,WHY,I can say soo much insult you aswell with the ottoman days but i didnt.Just take a good look at greeks and you will see what i mean.
@ktm066 You better get angry and insulted by the truth that among Balkan states you are the only country with a Turkish naval military base of 1000 Turkish soldiers....and leave the Greeks aside.
@ypruss You think all albanians have mixed with turks? This is the problem with greks there is fuck all albanian who mixed with these pigs you just ashume so..Do me a favour take a good look at greeks and take a good look at turks all i see in SOME GREEKS IS PURE TURKISH BLOOD,so dont insult me because you greeks bent over much more than albanians did,,
@ypruss And you also forgot the 200 thousand greks who turned muslim,,Soo you expelled them out of greece,,Your pathetic and so is your racist nation,You are christians start acting like it.Use are religion freaks Well in away you worship your preists more than you do god,,You listen to these preists so much that your country and people forgot yourselfs,Take care god bless,
@ktm066 What 200 thousand greeks who turned Muslims and so expelled out of Greece are you talking about? Beware with the easy use of the numbers and the void generalizations about priests, religions, worships, BLOOD and racist nations...You already start Albonian shit talk as expected...having this kind of UFO Muslim illumination. It's so hard to obtain respect since you are so off topic, full of hate talk and anger, putting words in my mouth that i never exchange with you like...
@ktm066 ...like "...Albanian who mixed with these pigs you just assumed so..." and demanding me to not insult you which i didn't so far (insults are definitely not the kind of assist i give for first to Albonians).
All this and more makes you so ignorant, not in front of me but to everybody. For the last time i will take all this shit talk against me as a comprehension limit of your English and i'll invite you to calm down and don't make a fool of your self.
Greek Christians never mixed with the Turks simply because of their Muslim religion (Christians couldn't take as spouse Muslim girls) as well as their, then, inferior social status in regard to the Ottomans.
viceversa...it's more probable that Turks have a Greek blood in some way.
(having stolen and risen Greek babies as Turks for their military needs and being permit it to them, mostly by force, to take Greek girls as spouses)

Today, the greek army leader who instigated the invasion of cyprus (but unsuccessfully conquered all of it), died. Another chapter in the history book. If that were today, the greeks would loose against turkey because greece is financially b
You can't talk about history, becouse you don't have idea what you are talking about... No Macedonia?!? Where do you think Aleksandar the great came from? Where are you from you stupid bastard? Read some books idiot, don't just take ideas and opinions of other peoples. You must be an American... When did idots started to be smart ones? And no serbs and croats? Read something about our Tsar Lazar... You talking about history, bet you don't know your own!!! Stupid bastard!!!
@spushaaaa You think it's me you offending calling me stupid or maybe your God. Using him to demonstrate your empty words and making gratuitous use of his name as well as giving on him the fault of my alleged stupidity is quite a blasphemy
and if by the way you are of no believe, again using what you don't believe, makes you certainly a jerk and in that case i will be proud being called by a jerk: "stupid God's creature"
That makes me in front of you so talent! And most of all by doing nothing!
@ypruss You're the one who is telling something about history... You assholle!!! First read some books, not just take someone else opinion and talk how that is final. Fucking American bastard!!! I'm not Macedonian, I'm Serb from Bosnia, so do not think that you ofended me whit this crap... I'm just saying that you took this from some documentary, not from some history clues and than researched them to have something that you really can discus!!!
@spushaaaa "...Wanted to say that you take what someone else said and believe in it..."
Youtubian from Bosnia except my personal research to National Geographic maps...you can buy by their store on your self (from 1915 till today)...who else said what i describe by this video...?
"Hic Rhodus, hic salta" ... next time you want to accuse someone be more convincing until then go dress your hello kitty properly...Oppss!...sorry!...I meant artistically
@ypruss And how was your country created... By killing all those people. Your history is so bad, that you can't believe in it, so you talk about others...
Presian's reign apparently coincides with the extension of Bulgarian control over the Slavic tribes in and around Macedonia. The Slavic peoples that settled in the region of Macedonia accepted Christianity as their own religion around the 9th century, during the reign of Tsar Boris I of Bulgaria.
loxandra2312 1 week ago
They claim that they are Makedonian but not greek that is not correct because Makedonians are greeks they are slavs not greeks, In 700 AD During the 580s, Byzantine literature attests to the Slavs raiding Byzantine territories in the region of Macedonia, aided by Avars or Bulgars. Historical records document that in c.680 a group of Bulgars, Slavs and Byzantines led by a Bulgar called Kuber settled in the region of Keramisian plain, centred on the city of Bitola.
loxandra2312 1 week ago

Alexander was Macedonian and end of story!!!
velikistrumfjr 2 weeks ago
Present Macedonians are Serbs and that is it...not Bulgarians, surely not Greeks but Serbs. Period. FYROM was part of Serbia since 1912, and Greek got it's part of historical Macedonia. Macednians are Slavs, and that so called "nation" was created in the middle 20t century. Like Bosnians or Montenegrins. Besides, here we don't call it Macedonia, but Old Serbia, since Skoplje was medieval capital of Serbia, and present Kosovo and Macedonia core of Serbian medieval state and national spirit.
DarkAlex1994 2 weeks ago
The Greek leadership if they where smart would have taken the opportunity of the break up of Yugoslavia to incorporate the Fyrom region into Greece. Here we have a people who want to be seen as Macedonian. What Greece should have done was to promote a joint referendum in Fyrom and Greece for the rejoin to become part of Greece. Then the Greek nation would then own the birthplace of Philip and they would have no trouble calling the rejoin and it's people Macedonia and Macedonian. Everyone wins.
AdstarAPAD 3 weeks ago
@AdstarAPAD People with the same heritage & culture dismantle their - peacefully created - Yugo nation through atrocities & wars & you expect us, the Greeks, by playing cheap political games...
(Btw GR can't promote ref to another country nevertheless impose the subject of such a referendum to Fyromians)
..& by omitting our recent history e.g. social, political, cultural & military 1904/08 conflicts, the Balkan wars & the WWII to annex such Slavobulgars under our Macedonian values?
ypruss 2 weeks ago
@ypruss Ok I am Australian, just so you understand. There are million of Greeks in Australia and we are happy to have them here as our fellow countrymen. I have seen the passion in Greeks in Australia when this issue is mentioned. But i thought to myself. Would not people who where so passionate about their history want to have the city of Skopje and it's rejoin with links to Philip within the Greek nation? The people of the place could soon be taught Greek and the Customs.
AdstarAPAD 2 weeks ago
@AdstarAPAD The Greeks are proud for their Macedonian culture & have no trouble with the term Macedonia & there is nothing Macedonian to rejoin. The GR Macedonia is already united...so no need for a political surgery in order to annex a cancer to the GR organism (Fyromians want to be seen as "Macedonians"...not Greeks). Only a long lasting "chemotherapy" acting in killing this Fyromian deception that rapidly try to steal & forge history & stop other nations encourage them in doing it
ypruss 2 weeks ago
@ypruss I am sure these people of Fyrom could be won over. Lets face it Greece came into being from many different city state peoples who looked upon themselves as being different from other city states even to the point of war. So what harm would it do to absorb a new city state into Greece like Skopje? Within a generation they would be all speaking Greek and would not see any difference between being Greek or Macedonian. Indeed there is no difference Macedonia is Greek..
AdstarAPAD 2 weeks ago
@AdstarAPAD
"...Greece came...even to the point of war..."
Greeks city states never done war based on their diversity in cultural, linguistic, religious, ethnological matters. They were common to all of that and always united (even if with different views on how to do it) to their enemies: the barbarians. Their wars were always a question of power, politics, territory. No Greek city state ever tried to assimilate other Greek city state (wasn't necessary)...Macedonians included
ypruss 2 weeks ago
@AdstarAPAD
Now assimilation is obtained in two ways. Forcibly or peacefully. Supposing we exclude forcibly for obvious reasons and considering the peacefull way...how & why?...'it takes two to tango'...he have none here (apart the fact that nearby nations figth with their own propaganda in a Fyrom territory with, a clear, no Greek coscience, & with a clear Slavobulgar heritage, language & culture mixed with a vast maggiority of Albanians ready to explode).
ypruss 2 weeks ago
@AdstarAPAD

It was located in the southernmost part of the country, encompassing the whole of today's Republic of Macedonia, southern parts of Central Serbia and southeastern parts of Kosovo. JANDAR69 7 months ago
Here the Selli dwelt and those who were formerly called Graeci (in English Greeks) and now Hellenes"
ypruss 7 months ago
@JANDAR69 Now, why Latin people mostly use this term? For 2 main reasons
1) among Latins,Aristotle was one of the most famous Greek philosophers so the term maybe somehow prevailed
2) Another theory derives the name Greek (Lt.Graeci) from Graekhos inhabitant of Graia -or Graea-(Γραία),a town of Boeotia.Greek colonists from Graia helped to found Cumae (northwest of Naples in the Italian region of Campania 900 B.C, where Latins first encountered Greeks). Name given by the colonists to all Greeks
ypruss 7 months ago
@ypruss "1) among Latins,Aristotle was one of the most famous Greek philosophers so the term maybe somehow prevailed"
i don't understand this, can you clarify?
bronkoghma 7 months ago
@bronkoghma The Aristotelian system, played a great role in the Roman Catholic Church during the Middle Ages, especially in the writings of Saint Thomas Aquinas (Catholic Church's greatest theologian and philosopher) & Albertus Magnus in the 13th century, and later, during the period of the Counter-Reformation in the 16th and early 17th century, it ascended to the status of religious dogma (Council of Trent - Transubstantiation - Hylomorphism in Aristotelian philosophy)
ypruss 7 months ago
@bronkoghma Another simple example of his influence is the Geocentric model. The reign of Aristotelian physics lasted for almost two millennia since finally discredited by the work of Galileo Galilei...being for that "vehemently suspect of heresy" by the church.
Anyway without exaggeration we all live in an Aristotelean world; wherever you see modern, Western science dominating a culture in any meaningful way (which is just about everywhere), Aristotle is there in some form.
ypruss 7 months ago
@ypruss lol, i didn't ask you who aristotle is. you said the name "greek" prevailed (over other names for your people) because of aristotle.
bronkoghma 7 months ago
@bronkoghma In fact, i didn't said who Aristotle is (If that's the best you could understand so far then lol as much you like with all my blessings) instead explain, plain and simple, my earlier assumption: "why among Latins,Aristotle was one of the most famous Greek philosophers" as well as his strong influence to them (e.g. Galileo's destiny) ...so to make my final consequent: that because of that such term (Meteorology-Latin translation by Gerard of Cremona 12th Cen) MAYBE SOMEHOW prevailed.
ypruss 7 months ago
@ypruss "In fact, i didn't said who Aristotle is (If that's the best you could understand so far then lol as much you like with all my blessings) "
yes, you talked about his influence, i skipped your comments when i saw you misunderstood my question.
thanks for being rude.
"so to make my final consequent: that because of that such term (Meteorology-Latin translation by Gerard of Cremona 12th Cen) "
huh???
you're saying it's becauese aristotle is a "greek" in those works? :-/
bronkoghma 7 months ago
@bronkoghma "...huh?..."
Gerard of Cremona (Toledo translators) translated the Aristotle's work Meteorology (there the word Greeks used for meaning Hellenes).
ypruss 7 months ago
@ypruss so it came from arab. thanks. finally lol , you're like the world champion at complicating things

@JANDAR69 so the THE WORD GREEK IS AS OF 1820? Look how our enemies called us at the 8th century:
Chatalar Inscription (Pliska Museum) inscribed in poor Greek by the Bulgarian Khan Omurtag (815-831)
"...In the field of Pliska
staying he made a court/camp (aulis) at [the river] Ticha (Kamchiya)
and moved his forces against the Greeks (Original text: ΓΡΙΚΟΥC i.e. Byzantines)
and the Slavs...The time when this was built was
in Bulgarian Shigor Elem and in Greek (ΓΡΙΚΟΥC)
Indiction 15..."
ypruss 7 months ago
@JANDAR69 As for EPRIUS (i suppose you meant Epirus, you ignorant)...which place do you think is the "country about Dodona and the Achelous" as Aristotle said for the Greeks? Answer: Epirus!
As for the Albanians...there are in no way connected not with the Greeks but not even with the Illyrians but after all that's not the subject here my Fyromian dude.
Just a last thought...stupidity is defeated by knowledge and i told you, you better do your homeworks first but i see you don't listen

JANDAR69 7 months ago
@JANDAR69
...in such a tiny text space, so much nonsenses from you!
So it's everything except a modern word or the entire Macedonia as you firmly admit.
ypruss 7 months ago
@ypruss and Herodotus (book V) mention that Darius rejoined by asking, "Who the Paeonians were, and in what part of the world they lived? and, further, what business had brought the young men to Sardis?" Then the brothers told him they had come to put themselves under his power, and Paeonia was a country upon the river Strymon (Vardar region), and the Strymon was at no great distance from the Hellespont. The Paeonians, they said, were colonists of the Teucrians from Troy.
ypruss 7 months ago
@JANDAR69 ...Since roman times, Paeonians, lost their identity and Paeonia was afterwards, merely, a geographic term (with the today Fyromians is start loosing even that last one). Why? Because you are slavonians (with no history) came in that region more than 1100 years after Herodotus first described Peonians in his book V (assault of the Perinthians versus the Peonians of the Strymon region).
Remember...one can can even be illiterate but please not forever! There is already a cure for that.

@JANDAR69 Last but not least let's see what Homer said in Iliad about them:
Αὐτὰρ Πυραίχμης ἄγε Παίονας ἀγκυλοτόξους

Ἀξιοῦ οὗ κάλλιστον ὕδωρ ἐπικίδναται αἶαν.
since your slavonian language can't help you with that i will translated for you
Pyraechmes led archers from Paeonia,
from far off Amydon, by the Axius,
a broad flowing river, whose moving waters
are the loveliest on earth.

And the lie starts in 1962 so you agree with National Geographic when they are on your side but when they call us Macedonia they are lying?
ZdravkoT112 1 year ago
@ZdravkoT112 If National Geographic, since 1992 and way before a clear political status was given to you, took into account that Fyromians could be called through political maps with a false identity by clearly omitting the other side, the Greek one (which from the beginning represented them as the one and only Macedonians), that is what i call a huge lie. They don't even used/use the term Fyrom just to simply keep up appearances at the time U.N. till today accept only your provisional name.
ypruss 1 year ago
@ZdravkoT112 Last but not least the nation which National Geographic is represented (U.S.A.), politically accepted you as such (Macedonians) only 15 years later (under Bush administration)...
Of course as Slavonic tribes came in the region at the end of the 6th century today you are not Macedonians...never were. It's true that you occupy a small part 20 - 25 % of the geographical territory of the Macedonian empire (at some time in history) but surely that don't make you such.
ypruss 1 year ago
@ZdravkoT112 That could be possible for you only if the true Macedonians (Greeks) weren't existed any more (like the Illyrians: term not contended with anyone except the Albanians) of course that's not the case and since contradictory statements cannot both at the same time be true, e.g. the two propositions Macedonia is Greek and Macedonia is not Greek are mutually exclusive. If one is true, the other is not; one of the two must be false.
ypruss 1 year ago
@ypruss Well, would you consider Spartans to have been Greek?
papasitoman 1 year ago
@papasitoman @papasitoman As Greek Archimedes said: GIVE ME A PLACE TO STAND AND I WILL MOVE THE EARTH...
...so do i, metaphorically speaking, stand upon the Greek culture to easily move not the Spartans as Greeks but the whole today world. Now to which cultural place you stand for so to ask me such "1+1 = 2" nonsense? The Fyromians today culture? If so as Archimedes once again said i do reply to you..."Do not disturb my circles"
ypruss 1 year ago
@ypruss A simple yes or no will do. So I ask the same question again. I don´t want supposed quotes from a man thousands of years ago. Would you consider the Spartans to have been Greek? Yes or no?
papasitoman 1 year ago
@papasitoman My above post it's simpler and more exhaustive than a simple yes or no...It's the simple answer, the explanation of this simple answer simply given plus a simple formulated question for you regarding my simple explanation and last but not least even given you a final simple answer to this last simple question just to more simplify things for you...it has to do with some kind of "circles"
ypruss 1 year ago
@ypruss I see what you have written in other comments and how you think; it´s very sad and needlessly convoluted. While the answer can be given as a simple answer explained (as when I ask historians from the US, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Greece and even one in China), you seem to know more than them, the authors, the history channel, BBC, Discovery and the papers written by academics. So, in your case, there is no reaching you as you already know you are right, right?
Cheers,
Papa
papasitoman 1 year ago
@papasitoman You see one it questions when:
a) it knows nothing about
or
b) he believes to know and so already deeply doubt of what he is going to ask for. Now at the time a) is already excluded since a Chinese already enlighten you about our history as you said...
(one from China explaining Greeks is certainly amusing ha ha ha...)
...b) remains the only option...so what's the need of your question?
ypruss 1 year ago
@papasitoman Don't tell me! Let me guess! Isn't it because you are a good old Fyromian too that slowly (post by post) try to stand up and be counted?...otherwise you wouldn't make such a silly question about the Spartans and by that last one we are back to my first post as my final response. My advice! Take your time with my as you say "needlessly convoluted thoughts"...it's called pure logic.
ypruss 1 year ago
@ZdravkoT112 Now since Macedonia is born and evolved in his culture, history, and conscience as another Greek tribe clearly all other suppositions are lies. Unless you feel your selfs as Greeks and as far i know that's not the case
ypruss 1 year ago 2
Wow so according to these maps there are ethnic people called Yugoslavians? No Serbs or Croats? And until you liberated yourself in the 19 th century there was no such thing as Greece, in ancient times there were only city-states no greece. And Tito? Tito wanted no nationalities but Yugoslavian, do you know how many people went to Goli otok (prison) because they wanted a free Macedonia? S.V. Tempo sent many Macedonians to death because they wanted a free and United Macedonia.
ZdravkoT112 1 year ago
@ZdravkoT112 "...in ancient times there were only city-states no greece..."
Wrong there were city-states until Philip II created and led the Hellenic League in 337 BC with capital Corinth. That's why after the battle of Granicus (334 BC). Alexander sent 300 panoplies to the temple of Pallas Athena in Athens, with the follow inscription.
"Alexander, son of Philip, and the Hellenes, except the Lacedaemonians, from the barbarians inhabiting Asia"
ypruss 1 year ago
@ZdravkoT112 In 331 BC after the battle of Megalopolis, even Sparta was forced to join the League...

@lucifer66633 thats awesome that ur not blinded like most of ur nation but the governments dont say watz going on they r controlled by corparations and banks world bank n imf, even the word president means to present not command
asitamamasita 4 months ago
@asitamamasita I'm sorry to interfere but it's the opposite i.e. the word president don't mean "to present" but "to preside" from the Latin verb praesidere = "to act as head or chief"
...as for the rest you are partly right: corporations (Soros corp. in Fyrom's case) and banks (the today Greek default and world mess) played/play main role for the whole today situation. Geopolitical visions of the past (Yugoslavia dismantle) and of the future (EU dismantle - just to mention one) done the rest...
ypruss 4 months ago
@ypruss yes u right about da meaning of da word President , but it is also a multi-meaning word. da people who create politics & governments use these kind of words or adopt from extinct languages so that they can manipulate da laws they r creating 4 their benefit. So you see I am the type of people who don't belief that the governments of powerful countries are for the people but are working for unknown people behind the curtains, so that we can be inslaved little by little till its too late.
asitamamasita 4 months ago
@asitamamasita ps. this is not like the conspiracy theory but it has been used since the dawn of organized societies and its a long process full of wars for resources and capital dependence, if u look at today world bank has countries enslaved to pay interest rates so high that the country is barely making the interest payments and dont have healthcare or welfare IMF too does that and even loans to bad dictators ect. if you look at north america its the mortgage that we r enslaved too

You must see 2 tinks:
1st-The land of today's Makedonia was part of Bulgaria, before to European leaders split it after we free from otomans.(They don't want big Orthodox country here).People in Makedonia speak bulgarian language, and they are Bulgarians(BEFORE EUROPE TO PUT BORDER BETWEEN BULGARIANS LANDS).
2nd-Serbs wants this land, and years of komunism, makes makedonians to beleve,to they are something else, than bulgarians.
3rd-Makedonia is just a name of a region, like Trace and Misia.
TANEVmedenRUDNIK 1 year ago 20
@TANEVmedenRUDNIK those years of communism made them non serb, driving serbs off from there. also, majority of serbs have returned to fatherland due to poverty.
also, more than 33% was part of medieval serbian kingdom
the rest was bulgarian.
BUT,with the end of last war against ottomans serbs took macedonia from turks, while bulgarians got a big push to the south, and got its modern day shape.
but fyrom? they claim they are something else, not serbs nor bulgarians.
we should half it!
Rototornik 1 year ago
@TANEVmedenRUDNIK Batko . . da ti recem nesto . . Bulgaria attacked Serbia 2 times !!
Serbia Helped Bulgaria to take Jedrene , and Bulgaria attacked Serbia 29/30 july 1913 . . and then in World War . . Serbia Was fighting with Germans and Austro-hungarians, And Bulgarian army attacked Serbia from behind!!
You do not deserve MAKEDONIA Losers!!!
Vulle93 1 year ago
@Vulle93 Batko...sada ya da ti recem nesto: Bulgaria attacked Serbia in 1913, because Serbia had concluded a treaty with Greece not to fulfill the Bulgarian-Serbian treaty of March 1912 according to which the so-called "non-disputed" part of Macedonia had to be given to Bulgaria.
About Odrin - the two Serb divisions were just sitting and doing nothing while the Bulgarians spilled their blood attacking the fortress. The Serbs appeared when it came time to make photos with Shukri pasha.
tyzhen 1 year ago
@tyzhen And you where there?!!
Historical sources tells different!
To be clear . . I do not hate Bulgaria, history is history, but you cant tell that attack Serbian forces from behind in WWII was glorious !!!
Vulle93 1 year ago
@Vulle93 Let me tell you that I also don`t hate Serbia and agree that history is history BUT the Serbian- Greek treaty from 1913 is a fact - it was signed on 19.05/01.06. 1913 (only two days after the London peace treaty between the Balkan alliance and Turkey).
About WW I or WW II - let`s face it: every country would do "not glorious things" if they seem advantageous for her interest. For example Turkey might complain that Serbia attacked her in 1877 when Turkey was in war with Russia.
tyzhen 1 year ago
@tyzhen I guess you're right, but we where under Turkish rule about 5 centurys and we where wait every chance to get freedom.we are also orthodox country, like Bulgaria, and war between our people is mistake.
At all,It's all about the many! ://
Vulle93 1 year ago
@tyzhen The Serbian- Greek treaty mutual pact of peace & friendship with respect of the actual frontiers and with a purely DEFENSIVE character it was, yes, signed by the Greek and Serbian ambassadors on 19.05/01.06. 1913 but as a natural result of other two previous signs:
1) at 22.04/05.0.5 by koromilas (Foreign Min.) & Boskovic (Serbian ambassador). Mostly territorial & economical
2) at 1/13.05 as a military mutual pact.
All this, days before the Treaty of London.
ypruss 1 year ago
@tyzhen A Treaty of London that gave nothing to nobody (Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia). It simply drawn a line on the continent of Europe to the west from Enos on the Aegean Sea to Midia on the Black Sea, with the exception of Albania between "His Majesty the Emperor of the Ottomans" ceding to their "Majesties the Allied Sovereigns" all the territories of his Empire
And i repeat Ottoman Empire & Emperor of the Ottomans since you talked about Turkey & Turks that didn't officially existed at that time
ypruss 1 year ago
@ypruss I say Turkey and Turkish deliberately, because now days the Ottoman name of the empire is used for demagogue purposes by Ankara as an attempt to wash the hands of the Turks from the crimes that they have done for 500 years against the Balkan Christian nations as if the Ottoman empire was not Turkish by her essence, elite, etc. What existed officially at the time can`t change the practical reality.
tyzhen 1 year ago
@tyzhen And yes according to the secretly signed Bulgarian-Serbian treaty of 13 March 1912 the so-called "non-disputed" part of the today Fyrom was under Russian arbitration.
Now at the time the Treaty of San Stefano between Russia and the Ottoman Empire signed at the end of the Rus-Tur War, 1877–78 gave mostly of that "non-disputed" part to Bulgaria...at their best (max) Bulgarians believed by such a treaty they could have had those territories but they didn't count the Greek factor & the war
ypruss 1 year ago
@ypruss Counted the Greek factor or not , a treaty is a treaty and if Serbia had a treaty with Bulgaria about the "non-disputed" zone she had to fulfill her duties. So the ostensibly defensive Serbian-Greek treaty was practically a treaty for abrogating the Serbian-Bulgarian treaty.
tyzhen 1 year ago
@tyzhen Why Greek factor? Because until then, between Greece & Serbia, there wasn't any mutual agreement. So Serbia had every right to stipulate a pact with this new Bulgarian ally. Why ally? Because contrary to Serbia, Greece, had already an agreement with Bulgaria in case of an aggression by the Ottoman empire with no reference to future boundaries and only for DEFENSIVE purposes (That's why Greece waited for the war to be started - by Montenegro - just for the record).
ypruss 1 year ago
@tyzhen Why war? Now since the conflict was such for Serbia to create new boundaries with Greece, Serbia had any right to stipulate a mutual agreement without offending the previous one made with the Bulgarians (at the time, Greece, wasn't a Bulgarian enemy nor had Bulgaria stipulated as said before future boundaries with Greece). As for the Fyrom part already occupied by the Serbians...Bulgarians had to ask for the Russian arbitration (as their mutual agreement explained) which they didn't.
ypruss 1 year ago
@tyzhen Scratching the surface...Probably because:
1) they at then lost the most important part of the conflict i.e. the actual Greek region as well as Thessaloniki and the exit to the Aegean sea.
2) Bulgarians didn't believed that a Russian arbitration could easily given to them land, already obtained with Serbian blood.
So they opt for the aggression.
ypruss 1 year ago
@tyzhen As for the Turkish vs Ottoman name thingy. Young-Turks had a chance to wash their hands from the ottoman empire (at that time full of ethnic, religious minorities...Greek, Armenians, Assyrians, Kurds, Alevi etc). A chance that quickly evaporated by perpetuating till today all kinds of genocides and aggressions
Anyway! As you already said, i add, that we have more things that unite us and only together we are unbeatable (for peace & prosperity) against the common enemy: Islam & the turks

Later after 560 Slaves began to colonize the Balkans before the EYES of the greatest Byzantine Emperor (Flavius Petrus Sabbatius) Iustinianus 1 (Augustus) (527-565) who had EXHAUSTED the empire to revive ROMAN POWER over the MEDITERRANEAN, besides the Balkan
piotrek7788 9 months ago

@ktm066 As for who mixed with who....
