Hey i have a question. i have a Alienware X51 (it has a Nvidia Geforce GTX 555 GPU) and i have Arma 2/OA and i put the settings all on very high except i have Anti Aliasing and HDR turn to just "High". and i have post process effect disabled and i enabled V-sync.(i have a 120GHZ monitor) and it runs really good and its only when i zoom in on a tree or i am in a forrest i start to lag a lot, and when i zoom in on smoke or i am in smoke. Is there something i can do so tree's dont make me lag? TY

@TheMetroidfanboy Two totally uncomparable games, as DICE keeps trying to tell people, its not a simulator, its a balanced pseudo-realistic multiplayer. Meaning the realism is in physics and bullet drop, BF3 will be supremely superior on the market and as a fan base. And the graphic detailing on the demo's looks horrendous for PC gaming, as the physics are looking pretty shite as well. ARMA 3 wont be anything special, as much i loved 2.

BF3 has superior graphics, lighting and texturing over Arma 3.Also, from the gameplay videos I've seen of Arma 3, it's physics engine is considerably inferior to BF3's.I know Arma 3 is going to be a good game but it won't com close to the overall greatness of BF3.

@mysql have you even played arma? i play both games and bf3 is about as real as cod. its an arcade shooter. true its fun but if you think driving a tank and being the gunner at the same time or flying a jet 300 meters and coming to the end of the map only to turn around and get blown out of the sky by a javelin is realistic then fair enough

@maltonbranch i remember some server with 97 players online at once and yes it is basically 1st old Operation Flashpoint, strategic military combat simulation, its not a game, its not CoD or BF style and its realy realy annoyingly realistic but i love it :D

@bookpig247 They put together the speech in a way that doesn't involve the creators of the game recording 4,000 different sentences over and over again in different ways. Remember, it's a Military Simulator for PC. Not Battlefield or Call of Duty for 3 different platforms. They can't afford voice actors who can do stuff so tedious because of the small market, so playing as a guy who sounds like Robo-cop is the closest they can hit it towards perfect.

Its patched to the latest i dont know whats the problem though I see people are getting better graphics, Maybe its driver conflict or I dont know :S

@BFloverhateCOD You do realize that the GTX 295 is a much more capable card than the GTS 450 right? Sure your card can do dx11 unlike the 295, but Arma 2 only supports dx9. Go google "GPU Hierarchy chart."

@JukemDrawles89 Yes, BF3 is just coded very nicely and everything flows really smoothly, Just because a game has better graphics then another game doesnt mean its more "demanding". you can have shitty FPS one day and once a new patch comes out u can have better fps the next. having a high performance pc helps you realize these things. i kinda went alittle over board with answering your questions but i hope it helps people realize these things.
