I tried one with a spectroscope. It has the same gaps in the spectrum the other CFLs have. You pay more and get nothing more.

Great video, another reason why CFL bulbs are superior. What a amazing light bulb. Something that old fashioned bulbs cant do.

The color or temperature of a CFL is determined by the type of phospours used to coat the inside of the curved fluroescent element. Daylight spectrum bulbs in standard fluroescent ceiling tube lighting has been available for quite some time so it's just a matter of someone applying the same to compact fluroescents which are not too different from their older cousins who have been around since the 1940's.

Hahaha. I'm pretty sure these don't have UV rays, so no. I doubt your weed will flourish from these lights.
