@Glockcrazy19 The military uses a select few bullet weights, while civilian sport/LE shooters have a much wider selection. The 1/8 is a good compromise allowing you to stabilize bullets up to 75 grain while not over spinning the lighter 40-45 grain "varmint" loads as a 1/7 could.
